Coming next ...
Spring Break is ending, the tournaments are finishing up, and there's not much to report on a light Friday of baseball or softball. But it's on next week. These are games you don't want to miss.

Monday, April 14
Baseball: Charter Oak at Diamond Ranch, 3:15 p.m. -- Time for the Chargers to show why they're the defending CIF champions. My guess is they won't lose another Miramonte game the rest of the way.
Baseball: Walnut at Nogales 3:15 p.m. -- Whose going to finish second in the San Antonio League? Nobody's catching South Hills, right? Even without De La Fuente.
Tuesday, April 15
Softball: Los Altos at Charter Oak, 3:15 p.m. -- Great pitching vs. Great hitting. Hmm, I wonder which teams he's talking about. I'll let you figure that out.
Softball: Northview at Covina, 3:15 p.m. -- The Vikes won the first meeting and it was intense. Something tells me it's only going to get better. I've got to think Covina wins this at home.
Baseball: Ontario Christian at Western Christian, 3:15 p.m. -- Hey, this could decide the Christian League championship. How good is Western Christian anyway?
Wednesday, April 16
Baseball: San Dimas at Northview, 3:15 p.m. -- Oh my, does it get any better than this? Drossel and Ponzo vs. Elias and Pedroza in the first of a home and home. That announcer at Northview played, "Help" the last time the Vikes had a pitcher in trouble. Wonder what's in store this afternoon?
Baseball: South El Monte at Arroyo, 3:15 p.m. -- It's a tight race in the MVL, and these two are in the thick of it.
Baseball: Azusa at Duarte, 3:15 p.m. -- Yes, the two top contenders in the Montview league collide. I'm going with Duarte. And just wondering, why isn't the Montview as talented and deep as the Valle Vista, San Antonio and Miramonte?
Thursday, April 17
Softball: La Salle at Bishop Amat, 3:15 p.m. -- Poor La Salle, they once had great pitching in a bad league. Now they're in a tough league with no pitching. Great way for the Lancers to break out of that hitting slump.
Baseball: Bonita at Wilson, 3:15 p.m. - We know what Bonita just did, winning the Northview tournament. But what happened to Wilson? They beat Charter Oak in the Miramonte opener and haven't won a league game since.
Friday, April 18
Baseball: Northview at San Dimas, 3:15 p.m. -- Whoever wins on Wednesday can throw down the hammer on Friday. At the end of it all, they'll split.
Softball: Ayala at St. Lucy’s, 3:15 p.m. - St. Lucy's, the best team I haven't covered yet hosts Ayala in a huge Sierra showdown.
Baseball: Bishop Montgomery at Bishop Amat, 3:15 p.m. -- Could we really finish the week without covering those boys in blue. That's the Tribune for you.

henley's got no excuses the next 2 seasons with the two stud sophomore pichers he's got! I'd say up to now the only things stabbing henley in the back is his own terrible sierra league record 12-40 past 3+ seasons. Lets evalutate after this season...
the only thing stabbing henley in the back is his own sierra league record which stands at 12-40 over past 3+ seasons. Lets see how this year finishes up and he has absolutely zero excuses next 2 seasons with the 2 stud sophomore pitchers he's got

the only thing stabbing Henley from Glendora in the back is his own terrible sierra league record over the past 3+ seasons: 12-40, but getting better (4-3 this yr) but hardly Ruthian-like. Let's all reserve judgement and see how they finish this season. And with 2 stud sophomore pitchers, he'll have 0 excuses the next 2 seasons!
Knuckler...does that mean Henley is back in the good graces of the GLENDORA BACKSTABBING WHINERS!!!!
WAH WAH WAH...PASS THE CHEESEEEE!!!

Well IRRITATEDreader,
The multi post which you call it that irritated you so much was not intentional. I may not have the sophisticated system like you and other professional bloggers Let's see I'm looking at my computer brand and oh, here it is, it says Tandy model 86. How does yours compare? You may have the newer version. So if I inadvertently hit post again while I waited five minutes with my computer doing nothing - SO SORRY. My point is still VVL is better than your league

IRRITATEDreader,
You did not deny it - VVL is the toughest around. Too bad you don't care but know this, there are alot more folks that do care and are very interested in what happens in the next two weeks. I know I do. Obviously you did not state your preference, maybe you don't have one.
He says that because there league sucks
fred
you should send out your 'favorite' stringer somewhere before the season ends ;0)
lol fred
you speak as if south hills cannot lose
(maybe not, but who knows)
remember
anything can happen
;)
DAMN VVL TOUGHEST
HOW MANY #$%^&*() TIMES MUST YOU POST YOUR THING?
WHO !@#$%^&* CARES ABOUT THE VVL IMPLICATIONS
You also have covina at b.p on monday 315
Okay Fred, i apologize...LOL...im eating my humble pie...Diamond bar lost to Bonita (8-4) in which Diamond Bar had a 4-0 into the 6th before the error bug hit them. Bonita manage to tie it in the bottom of the 6th off 3 runs off consecutive infield errors then a bases loaded walk..the rest was basically lets say..."calling it a day"
Fred,
The paper needs to show up at the San Dimas / Northview game on Wednesday especially due to the implications of VVL title.

Glendora vs Chino Hills is an obvious choice. 1st place Chino Hills vs. the surging Tartans fresh off beating the Tribune's #2 ranked team, San Dimas, and winning the Arcadia title. Both teams playing in the tribune's toughest league....Sierra .

FredJ,
Good Luck with that one, you know were all hoping that the paper is there for our games.
Its always great to have the paper at the games especially if you win!
Good Luck to all!
I'll ask all of you then, which games should we lead with and send photographers to each day?
May want to watch Chino Hills and Glendora battle Wednesday. And Glendora vs Chino Friday. Big games in the Sierra league.....
Fred, are those really the "best" games you could come up with?? As far as Sierra league softball....well...Chino Hills finished off St.Lucys (13-0) today. Another good game saturday morning you forgot about....."Bonita vs Diamond bar " @ Diamond Bar 11am
