Softball: San Dimas 7, Northview 1

Northview's Hannah Fraijo was coming off a perfect game and her third straight no-hitter, but surging San Dimas followed a 3-0 win over Covina in the Charter Oak tournament with a 7-1 pounding over the Vikes. While the Saints (13-9, 7-5) all but secured third in the Valle Vista with the victory, the team screaming "Yes" is Covina (16-5, 10-2), who will meet Northview (17-5, 11-1) at Northview on Thursday for a chance to move into a first-place tie with a week to go.

Diamond Ranch is in 2nd place in league. Not bad for us who dont have a stacked team like Los Altos. And yes, that loss Los Altos has is from our 2-0 shutout. DRANCH will go higher in playoffs then Los Altos.

Fred,It said in the paper the first hit off Hanna came in the third, it was the very first hitter Arial shore in the first.
San Dimas is starting to play great as a team at the right time of year.and
K Clark pitched a great game yesterday.

Rec ball coaching??? I don't see any other coach in the area with 8 staight league titles and making playoffs for 17 straight years. Do I need to mention a making it to the semis, the quarter finals and the finals of CIF in the past 8 years and winning CIF in 2001?

San Dimas change in line up helped. But the coach needs some retraining or something... Talk about your typical rec ball coaching.

Los Altos wins its 9th game in a row. They clinched their 3rd straight Miramonte League Championship in a row. Diana-Lynn Patterson just secured her 3rd straight League MVP in a row. In the circle she is 17-4 with a .444 ERA. She has pitched 10 shutouts this season. She leads her team in AVG and RBI's. BTW, her team is #1 in the tribune and #2 in CIF. She has done her job. Now is up to Fred to do his. MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP!

softballfan, I never compared Fraijo to Fernandez, who would do that? But she did have a chance to match Fernandez's four straight no hitters, that's a fact. Just to throw three straight is remarkable, I don't care who you throw it against. Only nine pitchers in CIF history have thrown four no hitters or more, but give it to San Dimas, they obviously came out motivated and got it done. I was more impressed with that than anything

The way San Dimas played today is the real San Dimas! About time San Dimas did something! A little to late but better late then ever. Lets hope they advance to CIF. With the combo of Kortnie and Gypsy pitching they should do well again. Last year semi final. This year Champs!!!

Ok first of all comparing Hannah to Lisa Fernandez, come on. The perfect game shut out were against teams that every other team has wooped on. As a matter of fact other pitchers in the same league have accomplished the same but have not been notice. Go figue...
