None of the Above! Fred needs to spend more time getting his facts straight. Too many mistakes that are offensive or downright stupid.

Swimming needs more press. We have several swimmers in the area who are ranked nationally and are doing great in their league meets but no one has ever heard of them. I think Aram was better connected with the swim programs in the area. Are you going to do pick one swimmer of the year or do pick a swimmer for each stroke based on CIF results so the readers can see the depth in the valley.

I agree... there really should be coverage on the area swim programs and their season. Charter Oak just clinched League Championships at ALL levels (boys/girls, JV/Varsity) for the third straight year. These kids are amazing and work just as hard as the other sports do......so come on Fred....lets hear about swimming/dive programs.

Well it looks like Gano took the easy way out. We all know that he can't coach, with average talent and no coaching you have a 4-6 team. Hopefully he has enough balls to hire a real coach.

I so glad football season is almost here. Reading the blog this past few months has been like watching Dennis Miller on Monday Night Football. Thank God my remote had a mute button. Now if there was only a way to silence all of these Amat wanna bes'

How about Gano stepping down as head football coach at LA. I guess he took the easy way out.

Gano's stepping down as head football coach today. I guess he isn't going to have to really coach this year, he took the easy way out.

For heavens sake don't talk about cheer teams... that would be more vicious then Amat parents. It's more competitive then you boys think

How are Gano and Layton doing it? Is either sport going to suffer? No one returns to LA, but rumor is DR is loaded. Is Gano making the move to softball only and is Layton just relying on pure talent? What do they talk about before the game. The two last minute wins in the football games. Correction, one of the wins came several days later. Do they talk at all? Does the paper hype up the rivalry or is it as bad as rumored? Gano the "recruiter" and Layton the "raven" make an interesting couple. I am curious! More football coverage, more football coverage. Who are the recruiters looking at? Which players and at what schools?

Greg Gano and Roddy Layton besides being head football coaches are also the softball coaches at Los Altos and Diamond Ranch, respectively and are competing against each other this afternoon. Some insight to that rivalry and relationship would be an interesting story topic!
