New York, New York

It's vacation time, and I'm in the big city, seeing a college buddy of mine while experiencing the town of all towns.
After surviving a 7-hour layover in Dallas, I arrived in the Big Apple about 3 a.m. (ET) Monday morning.
After a few hours of rest, it was off to Coney Island and the world famous Nathan's hot dog stand.

Then it's off to Yankee Stadium, the "House the Ruth Built" as the Yankees drop a tough 2-1 decision to Texas. But local product Jason Giambi contributes a triple.

Here I am from seat in the right field stands.
One thing I noticed at Yankee Stadium, the fans stay to the bitter end. The stands were 95 percet full at the end of the game. Growing up a Dodgers' fan, it's a completely different experience.
The Yankees lost on this night, but we get another chance to see 'em on Thursday when the take on the hated 'Sox.

dungeon man,

I went to New York to watch the Yankees in the final year of Yankee Stadium, and I wanted to look the part.
If I ever go the Ballpark at Arlington, I will buy and wear a Rangers camp.

Hey, take off that stupid Yankees cap, will ya? How bout Michael Young leading the Rangers, an up and coming team, past the over-the-hill Yankees? I do believe Young went to Bishop Amat High School.

Hi all, sorry about the mistake, being a Cal State Fullerton alum, I sometimes confuse Jason and Jeremy.
Like I said before, I made this trip to see a college buddy who writes for the NY Post, and see a few Yankee games, as this is the last year of the House that Ruth built.
Joe Amat, you have to make the trip if you can.
And yes guys, it's very hot, but I will get a chance at the Pacific Ocean breeze in August when I take a cruise.

wow, perfessional TRIBUNE!
Prep sports blog and this is the topic! Personal vacations & Prostitution!

Ramirez, what a doofus you are, did you ride the short bus every day, I bet you did, anyway ramerrez, take a Midol, make it 7 or 8 of them and get the heating pad, you are cramping up,(by the way, Whitey lives ,smack dab in trib country,Covina) a'hole

SR

You hack - no one cares about your vacation - what an ego you carry around - did you have to pay extra to get it on the plane?

Ramirez, you've got a lot of class, however it's all 3rd class on your best day, Jason plays on the Spankees... Jeremy is ??? makes a big difference unless you were just sucking down Bud Lites all night, hands down Young is twice the man and player the 2 of those guys are.

Steve-O,

I'm jealous, I've been trying to swing a business trip to NY since the spring and get to Yankee Stadium before it's imploded. Late September is a maybe, but by then tickets will cost me my first born....and what would his wife say!

Steve,
Follow Fred's lead and go to Cabo. New York is too humid this time of year.

I prefer Gray's Papaya in the Village. Swing over near Columbia and grab a slice from Koronets.

Got to go to Papaya King on 86th street! The second best hot dog after Pinks!

That's Steve Ramirez in New York

Hey !! I did'nt know you could fish for yellow tail in New York harbor ?

And was that suppose to be a marveolus New York skyline with all those rocks in the water in that last pic ?

Ramirez, you're so bad at what you try to do! I guess Michael Youngs 3 for 4 with 2 doubles is trumped by " Jeremy Giambis" triple or was it the steriod king who tripled? either way the Jankees lost and you lost that lost, tiny speck of credibility.......buy a dog, name him Clue, then you'll have one, lmao.
