Stang Fan breaks it down

I'm with the family in Northern California, but read a comment in one of the threads from a blogging friend at the Star-News. Looks like Muir's Mighty Mighty Mustangs are ready for the Southeast. The Orange County school's are gone, replaced by the more athletic teams from Muir and PHS. When I was at South Hills' practice last week I talked to Bogan about the realignment. Muir was one of his curious concerns.

Here's what Stang Fan wrote.

Freddie J,

Great to see you still doing your thing over at the Trib. Tell your pops hello and to keep up the good work with the golf team...and as he well knows, it's always, "Stangs for Life!!!"

Anyhow, just thought I'd pop over to the east blog and kick up a little dust....

You mentioned before on another thread that Muir was "licking its chops" when they found out about their placement in the new Southeast Division. That very well may be the understatement of the year! Quite frankly, the Stangs are "licking their chops," pounding their bellies," "banging their plates on the table," or whatever silly metaphor one can muster to accurately describe the sheer anticipation of FINALLY getting a chance to play SH, CO, LA, and whoever else in our new division who wants it!!!!!!!

You SH and CO fans are HILARIOUS!!!!! You guys are (chuckle) already writing (giggle) yourselves into the (laugh) championship game (LMAO)??? Are you serious? Break it down for me. Analyze. Explain. Why will it be such a cakewalk for you? Please don't give me that HISTORY BS though. You can go on and on about the championships you have won in the past...but I ask you, "who the heck have you played!!!" Amat fans may be myopic, but they are absolutely correct in their assessment of how and why you guys have won rings...D-6 and D-7.

Yes, I know, you "did what you were supposed to" and at least you guys have won a title "in the last 20 years." You are right. You did and you have...we didn't and have not. Congrats. But please don't confuse that with being better than everyone else. Honestly, I'm embarrassed that the Pacific league has dropped from D2 to D3 to D5 to D7 all in just 12-13 years. It's shameful. It probably is best for the teams in our league, even Muir, nonetheless it still hurts to see that happen. My hope is that we can battle back, win a few titles and move back up with the big boys, just as other schools have done in the past. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. But I digress...

I can't WAIT to the playoffs!!! And to keep it as REAL AS I CAN...i hope to the heavens above that we face Charter Oak!!! And you all know why...especially you Farrar!!! BTW, we never received that "thank you" card for that victory over GLendora last year...you remember...the game won on the last play with what I like to call the "Pasadena connection." To quote Mel Gibson from "Ransom", "give (us) back (our) son(s)!!!"

LET'S GO STANGS!!!!!

To correct your recruiting policy over on the eastside. Bishop amat sits at the doorsteps of kids in the pop warner over in Duarte looking for skill players. Dorian Wells should have stayed at Monrovia High School where he wanted to attend but was ruled out from the C.I.F. Bishop Amat has Grabbed one of the most phenominal QB's right out from under the Monrovia High School coaches because of the East-side Haters assoc. gun toting policy. All in all yes there is a recruiting war going on with the east side schools....especially Amat. The light Dims...when you have no good running backs over at Amat!.......

i not taking you for granting
im just saying dont except to go undefeated untill proven otherwise!
vickers number ol where he going?
is he really better than cody tescher of glendora?
dose he play both ways or just ol?
i saw he on basketball team to or no?
team to beat is the stangs!

Im glad you folks dont know what we have brewing at DR....Just keep believing we are "rebuilding", "weak" and not even competitors. You guys are all right!! We have a young team, stupid, classless, immature coach....Pretty soon the bonfire will turn into the Northern California Fires or last month. Keep feeding us baby! CO is the team to beat huh....ok, we will take that....We just love it, we just freakin love it!! Keep feeding us doubters!!!

dominate huh?
well good luck to me it looks like a rebuliding year for you guys!
new qb and kicker
all you have is spirlin he going have take you far as u want unless maybe you play sermons on offense!

Lmao haha where has that tough schedual got me in the past two years you ask?? Haha no where only to some of the best games I've ever seen haha lmao but let's ask our selves this where has it gotten that team playing such a brutal schedual like that? Compaired to where they have been in the past?? Yes no champion ship but dude your watching history ism just glad that diamond ranch finnally has a great coach

Fred

Hey brother thngs are getting a little side tracked here. A week or so ago you did the Top Ten QB's and then the recievers. We're all still waiting on the rest of the Top Ten positions. dont forget the big boys, they deserve some props to. Maybe you can do a O-line and D-line Top Ten.
Comeon brother hell week is only a couple weeks away. We need to know. Maybe you can get the GURU to help you out if you need it

dark p where has that tough schedule got you in the last 2 years?? nowheresville

Lmao Dranch last game whoopie charter choak got lucky to play with team with no heart at the end everyone knows and those that went to the last game and have Bern going to Dranchs games for years knows that if d ranch played like the did to oaks Christian to charter choak they would have been running home crying like los altos did on that beautiful game ending touch down.. Diamond ranch is the only school in this area that has the guts and balls to run a schedual like it does all I gotta say is Congradulations R Layton 3 years new record keep it up.. D ranch rules even with forefits new year can't wait baby hsters blog here lovers see year at the games :)

Hey Drance fan, I went to last years game bet CO & DR wanting to see a competitive HS football, I went home at half. I was told the route was caused by lack of disqualified player, but get real you have to be able to stop the other teams offence, .CO looks good at San diego passing tourny beating Crespi ans Orange Luth. Match up could be good or route. Stand by.

BigA...

I'm looking forward to Sept. 5. Our boys have responded well to Coach Maddox and are putting in the time this summer. Our summer league has been improving every week, and the boys are chompin at the bit. Should be a good one on Salter Field...

Dark P...

There is no "piece of cake" or "smooth sailing" in hs football. That attitude is how good teams lose focaus ...and games.

Good luck D-Ranch. Like all teams, you'll need it...

how will Diamond Ranch Do you ask one word dominate once they get done with there CIF style pre league schedual which should be a piece of cake.. Then its smooth sailing.. :)

i was just wandering how will dranch do?
how they do this summer?
who are there big targets?

I don't know how you can call out Muir/Arcadia/Pasadena in the CIF division. THEY PLAYED IN A BETTER ONE THAN ALL THE ESGV (except for Amat)

Arcadia lost to Rancho Verde who had 5 Div. 1 players on the roster. Give me a break. Arcadia had two, Kevan Walker who is now at Oregon St. and Todd Golper who is committed to UCLA.

I'm not real certain about PHS and the team's Muir played against but Burroughs (pacific league #4 team) almost beat the CIF champion Colony in the 1st round. 19-21.

WSGV will represent come November.

For all you Stangs, do you know the makeup pf COHS Obackfield and Dbackfield? mostly brothers. So cut the race crap and prepare yourself fof a big fast CO and try to knockum off. Hope we both get to the show and begin a healthy rivalry, good for the SGVY east and west. Both SH and CO will be good fozz.

Muir's first three games will say much to these arguments. The endless East / West cheapshots have grown mindless and tiresome. Dividing East / West with verbal low blows is counter-productive to promoting all the SGV as a whole - we should be mixing it up more, creating rivalries and firing up competition cross valley. What is the value of droning on about one's superiority...it serves only as a bigger fall when you get pounded by "lesser" teams.

Muir has added Tip Sanders as a strength/conditioning coach and this will pay dividends for the Stangs, who have been outmuscled in the past by size and strong interior line play.

As far as skill, insults are one thing but reality another. The Stangs are a small school. I believe their 400m relay team was top ten statewide...and 3 or all of these kids will be suiting up this year...this is not undisciplined raw speed, but speed capable of closing gaps and running past, around and in some cases, through defenders. Scary special teams potential for 4 quarters...eventually piercing punt coverage or finding a gap in the wedge and seeya. I would always take the side of fundamentals straight up against speed - but Muir brings serious team speed on both sides of the ball. Failing to prepare, acknowledge and respect that speed would just be plain bad fball.
I would expect a strong showing from the Stangs in 08 and applaud their tough pre-league scheduling against top-notch programs like DR, Colony, etc. It is good for San Gabriel Valley football.

Let the season begin and let the games do the talking!? GO SGV!

The Stang Fan....oh my.... the race card.

Let's not make this about race in the context of anything other than the truth. I'll start by using something benign and then correlate that to football.

Think "MARCHING BANDS" and "CHEER LEADERS"...is THAT a racial thing. Let's call it ENERGY.

Let's talk about basketball. A couple of years ago at Amat I believe the WEST side went "gansta" on a "light skin brother" from Bonita for what was it...hmmmm "not coming correct"...I think that means not "knowing his place" or "being" soft...semi white. Confusing but NOT to me or you ..You still with me?

Enough about that. As far as discipline, trust me we both know the deal with grades, off field stuff and the unstable family life. HUCKSTER is a great example of what I speak. Wasn't he once accused of busting into the locker room drunk trying to motivate the players? When I read his post last year it made my skin crawl. Yet EVERY person who knew HUCKSTER just thought he was being "HUCKSTER"...acting the fool and then "getting over'. Loved reading the La Salle and Maranatha bloggers retorts...NOW THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!!Pasadena SHOULD be Carson/Dorsey NORTH but they are not. Why? Unlike those schools with OVERALL depressed infastructure Pasadena has gobs of money and yet the "ENERGETIC THANG". Trust me Stang Man...I love football and can tolerate some trash talk but remember who you're talking to and calling out. SH ...go for it. CO...not so sure. WC ...GAME ON! Figure that out and you'll know what I mean. Think Prison Riots.

With some "brothas" talking smack is just "carrying on" ....with Latinos that's "meet me in the parking lot".

I hope these games go off without a hitch, I really do...but like Amat and Carson...mutual respect and less trash talking means a good game and everyone goes home safely. Que no?

I've seen a couple of the City schools and like I said before PASADENA DESERVES BETTER. One of the richest parts of California and somehow things are what they are...ENERGETIC. All that speed, size and athletism and NO CHAMPIONSHIPS...I would have thought you could have SCARED Oaks Christian by just showing up...and that goes NOT to the COACHING but to the lack of DISCIPLINE...on and off the field. That's why Amat competes even though half their team is made up of 5'9" Latinos...DISCIPLINE...that ain't RACIAL that starts at home. With "moms and pops".

Best of luck to the Pasadena schools trying to be the next "COLONY". I remember the BLAIR PAIR and the days of NO BLACK QBs...NO ONE wants to go backwards ...just take some friendly advice....LET YOUR GAME DO THE TALKING.

WE COOL?

Now we're talking...

Fred, I'd seen you baiting this topic for awhile so I just thought, hey, what the hell...might as well throw down the gauntlet.

As usual many responses to my post were extremely generic and lacked any thought or originality. I mean what's a Tribune thread without some mention of how horrible some school's neighborhood is. I always find THAT relevant. Than of course you have the typical "we'll destroy you guys....hahahaha" post. Yeah...that articulates your argument well. Then you have the hypocritical bloggers who chastise the smack talk, yet fail to realize that the constant references and discussions about SH and CO as the only true competition in this division is a TREMENDOUS slap in the face to other really good programs in the division, namely Muir. And if the fans don't think that the Stangs are legitimate contenders in this division, they surely don't see eye-to-eye with their head coaches, according to Fred.

Then my man STEP UP enters the fray and "steps up" to the plate to air out his thoughts. Clap..........clap..........clap.............clap. Not bad STEP UP...unlike those of your ilk, you stepped up, did a little research, and gave it your best shot. Not bad bro...I respect and admire the effort...however assinine it may be.

I'd like to start with the "undisciplined" portion of your argument. Now we all now what terms like "athletic," "undisciplined," "speedy," and "no coaching" are euphimisms for. Let's just be real, shall we...BLACK TEAM. Better yet GHETTO BLACK TEAM. I know, I know...I went race card here. But seriously, let's just call a spade a spade. At least STEP UP attempts to elaborate upon his "undisciplined" label (however incorrectly), unlike SGV Fan. THe funny thing is that he uses five offensive plays, four of which were designed run plays, in an attempt to describe Muir's lack of "discipline," which he describes as the QB waiting for the line to hold the D up for as long as possible before he takes off. Interesting. First of all, the QB ran twice in that clip. Secondly, he had over 800 yards on the ground, primarily out of the veer and called draws, both of which show up on the exact clip you speak of. Notice his feet on the draw play...they're a
dead giveaway that it is a called draw, pay particular attention to his plant foot. Remember, we are the blue and gold team, not the red and white team, who does EXACTLY what you describe. So is this the only "lack of discipline" you speak of, or is there more? Have you attended a Muir game? Did you know we were one of the least penalized teams in our league? I don't get it...I need MORE PROOF!!!

Than you mention our lack of competition. Okay, I can see that in terms of our league games...you're right. But is that our fault? We can only schedule three preseason teams now, and who do we have...DR, Oaks Christian, and Venice. Not neccessarily a walk in the park. Have we beaten the great teams? No....but now we don't have to play them anymore...we get to play you guys!!! BTW, who the hell do you have on YOUR schedule? When was the last time you guys fared well against MD, Loyola, ND, and OC? Ummm, never...ANd how the hell do you know that Poly, Corona, and Norco have called Muir...truth is they haven't. But I'll tell you who's called SH and CO with no response. You mentioned the Huckster, who happens to be the brother of Pasadena High's HC, and he has mentioned how his bro has REPEATEDLY attempted to schedule those schools to no avail. I'm sure I'll get the typical response to that one...

As far as kids leaving...well the truth of the matter is Kanaan and Mikey would NOT have started at RB and WR respectively. They most certainly would've started somewhere, just not the positions they played at CO. And quite frankly, that's what hurts Muir in the long run againgst the top teams...lack of depth. If the all of the Pasadena kids played for the Pasadena high schools, well we'd be as good as we were in the 60's, 80's and 90's.

All in all though...this will certainly be an exciting year, and I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg.

No Julio is too busy signing Mustang98's paycheck .Y

Win something FIRSt then talk trash .Go back to the Westside
THUG !

FIGHT ON
TM

Julio is too busy recycling cans from people's trash cans....he can't play today.

almost like trying to pry julio from quincenera practice to focus on football, huh?

almost like trying to pry julio from quincenera practice to focus on football huh?

Disciplinary problems? Huh that's a good problem to have once the team is depleted for not making grades or for not being able to make the team because Daddy can't bail out Tyrone from the jailhouse.

jcaz,

Forgive me for including you (BA) in my post, but your east san gabriel valley counterparts placed you in conversation. Once that happens facts need to be stated. I have a lot of respect for BA, but the truth is when Muir was going 9-1 against BA, BA was a national powerhouse. It was never anthing against BA but tell your buddies from SH and CO to stop using you as a reputation builder.

mustang fans and westsiders please check your butthuggers cuz i think you just made a pre-mature mess

its a lil early to come on here and start talkin trash and pencil your name into the semifinals and put down 2 elite sgv programs

i heard you guys have issues keepin kids eligible after the 12 week mark maybe you should focus on that

Stang98

Whoa there cowboy ! those are fighting words. You're smacking on Amat here when we don't have (pardon the expresion here, I could'nt help myself) "a horse in this race."

Perhaps you should'nt be talking smack here considering the fact that Amat has played you're school ten times in the past, and has gone 9-1 all time against the mighty Mustangs.

It's like I allways say, whenever a topic starts off going in one direction, it seems to always come back to Amat somehow.

Remember, this discussion involved a couple of teams playing in division 27 or something or other right ? Stick to the topic at hand.
Leave us out of it.

No wonder all these folks get so upset at us for hogging the airwaves. This time though, it's not our fault.

This addressed to Step and all the rest of the eastside supporters (westside haters),

I looked at CO and SH on maxpreps and I was thoroughly disappointed. Not with what you have accomplished, in regards to your performance in your division, but with the schools who were played. Yes, Muir was blown out by Oaks Christian but...THEY WON STATE!!!! You (CO) gets blown out by the new Bishop Amat, and score 7 points in two years. Other than Bishop Amat there is not a reputable school on either schedule (CO or SH). Its easy to say muir didn't answer when such and such school called, but whose calls do your teams answer...Rancho C, Claremont, Upland...come on.
I dont want to put down what your teams have done in the past, but dont make it seem like you are a powerhouse. I won't go as far as calling your opponents bums....but the proof is in the pudding.
We would never run to the defense of the Maranathas and LaSalles because we dont play them. To be honest there is no need to play them...they don't want to play us because we have real football players. So dont include them in any conversation that involves the MIGHTY MIGHTY MUSTANGS!
Just keep riding that ever declining train that is far from what used to be bishop amat. The truth is what the truth is Muir has taken some tuff losses; But those losses you speak so highly of came to the hands of a few champions.
Play and compete with a contender in the preseason and then you can say something, but until then we are not impressed in the least but!

Gee New York...I got misty on that response. I mean no offense but just look at it from my vantage point...a reasoned response, with well thought out considerations for context, facts and history. I mean this could be the start of a great season on the blog. I could only hope for that...now where the hell you been for the last 3 freakin years! lol.

I was wondering about the teams from the West side such a La Salle, Maranatha and Monrovia. Anythoughts on who they morror the most in terms of East side schools?

I have another question and that's why os the SGV Tribune and Star News separate. I mean it takes 3 newspapers to get a sense of Prep Sports. West Side, East Side, IE, and the the forgotten Red Headed step children Ayal and Diamond Bar...Why Fred?

Wouldn't it be better to be like the OC and have a Area based Prep perspective?

I was just giving The Stang Man the "business" in reality I hope evryone play everyone so when "WE" do meet the IE and the OC we can at least be battle TOUGH instead of Battle SHOCKED!

Thanks New York...that was way cool.

Some of these arguments have major disconnects in logic. You can't say that Muir will get beaten by Charter Oak simply because Muir gets manhandled by Oak Christian (not Oaks College), just like one can not say that Muir will dominate the new division based on its dominance over Hoover and Glendale.

The truth of the matter is that few people really know how good Muir may be simply because they have such a vast gap in level of competition on their schedule. Although, Muir has played tough games against some tough San Bernardino teams in the playoffs. I don't put much value in close losses to good teams, either. That would be the same logic that prompted Notre Dame to praise Charlie Weiss for his close loss to USC during his first year.

Muir has not had any tough mid-level teams on its schedule, such as CO and SH in recent years. So this will be an interesting year. Muir has Diamond Ranch early in the season. Eventually we will then see Muir in the newly formed division.

The Stang Fan, you guys suck! You're an undisciplined team. You play NOBODY and when you do.... you get IT handed to you. Colony,, Oaks Christain, Arcadia? Give me a break. As far as "GIVE ME BACK OUR SONS"...dude ask yourself this question...."why do they leave???"

I know we are culturally different and what goes on the WESTSIDE wouldn't fly on the EASTSIDE but EVERYTIME...okay MOST of the time when East and Wesy meet it's EMBARASSING, DANGEROUS and NOT WORTH THE TIME.

Great athletes, great speed but s usual no discipline. Look at the MAXPREPS highlight film of the Muir/Pasadena game...NO BLOCKING, BUSTED PLAYS and IMPROVISATION of the highest order. " Great hold them for as long as you can...run down field...GET OPEN ...and 'IF" I don't SEE anybody ...IM GONE!!!" That's the transcrpt of every huddle...ON BOTH TEAMS!

I didn't see Carson, Dorsey, Serra or Verbum Dei on your schedule over the past 5 years....hmmm????? What gives? "SON UP!!" Step up!

Let me break it down for ya...opps ..you. The Pasadena teams suck! They are the "sons" that beat up on less "son-filled" teams Glendale, Hoover ect. and act the "part". "I'MA GONNA KILL YAHHHH!!!" You know all bluster and "carrying on" and when they go against Mater Dei, Loyola, Oaks Christain, Notre Dame they revert to the what they really are...weak inside. Opps MUST BE THE COACHING...as the HUCKSTER would say as he's "CARRY ON" time after time. Pasadena deserves better. All that money. all that potential and that wealth and what has Pasadena become....GHETTO FABULOUS!!!!

Long Beach Poly called and you won't answer, Corona Centennial called and no answer, Norco called and ...well you KNOW THE ANSWER. So now you're "licking your chops" ...please...How about you step to the front of the line and play Bishop Amat seeing as they are on the "down side"....weak punk ass loudmouth play no body "front man".

while muir certainly isn't what it used to be, i'm sorry to say that the mustangs should handle the teams they will face in the playoffs, from this area, with ease. the only thing that will hold them back will be a lack of good coaching. i would offer that sh and co have much better coaching than the mustangs. they, however, do not compare athletically.

Duke_13,

No one recruits players anymore players recruit programs. Does that make sense to you or better yet I'll share with you an example. Dorian Wells went to South Hills last year and left Bishop Amat and actually lived off of the 210 freeway and could of gone anywhere along that corridor but instead HE chose to attend South Hills. Now I agree maybe his paperwork was less than better yet enough said that's in the past but shows you that South Hills, Charter Oak, Los Altos, Glendora, West Covina, etc. do not recruit athletes but instead actually parents of the athletes recruit and choose the schools they transfer to and then from there administrators and C.I.F. go through due process and make the final decisions. Lesson served and let that be a lesson to you my friend.

0 Week...all I can Say is D-Ranch to Muir!!!

I would never underestimate MUIR! They have an excellent tradition and if I recall reading in one of the blogs didn't CO recruit a MUIR player last year. I know Duarte had Harris and he was from MUIR. Can someone give me the facts.

Until November do us all a favor Muir Fans, keep the trash talking to a minimumntil you win a few . Like most teams there is still ALONG ways to go ...

Unless your the USC Trojans

Fight On
TM

Buckle up stang fan...the valley kids may play D6 or whatever it is nowdays, but they will still bring it on Friday nights. I hope you get your wish of SH or CO in the playoffs...tell the "stangs" to buckle up.

Hey Fred...Are you near San Jose? Contact me and I'll get you a tour of the nicest high school stadium in Northern California.

Hey Stang, bla bla bla, just try to win your own div, league whatever. Then bring it on. CO never wavers, it will be put up or shut up. Bib Lou 200+ wins!!!!

SH CO finals ! it could happen . ponies will be broken at least by the 2nd round, well teach them some respect
BRING IT HOME CAM!

Muir won the Pacific and got the quarterfinals in 2004 and '05, losing both times to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, whom I'm sure would have handled Charter Oak, South Hills and whoever else is on the West Side.

Muir fan,
Let's win a few games then you can talk all you want, yes you have great athletes but they are lacking discipline, and your living in the past, Muir was a great football school (back in the 80's). You are talking about some great programs like they will just hand you a W. Not going to happen, they will blow you away, Arcadia has been the one school you have played, and they get beat soundly when they play teams east of the 605. Good luck

Oh yeah, and Charter Oak is a great place to live ... for people like Mark Fuhrman.

muir? better start installing those metal detectors and getting extra security now. muir makes the barrio known as amat look like beverly hills compared to pasadena.

I think this is one time were Charter Oak and South Hills would actually want the other to win. Cuz how nice would it be to play each other in the finals. Stang fan u will get embarrased by any team out here. Trust its a lock the title is staying in Covina!

HEY FRED I WAS JUST CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW BIG THE THREAD WOULD OF BEEN IF IT WAS SOUTH HILLS INSTEAD OF CHARTER OAK THAT WENT TO THE NORTH COUNTY PASSING TOURNAMENT AND BEAT CRESPI AND ORANGE LUTHERAN?

NO LOVE FOR DEM CHARGERS

IF THAT GAME HAPPENDS THIS YEAR IM SURE YOU WILL BE ROCKIN YOUR GREEN CHONIES ON THE SIDELINES

hahaha muir..!! i think i saw them play once against oaks college..the score was likee sixty something to a little bit..Charter oak would love to beat Muir in the playoffs that would be a good game mustang fan..

hahaha muir..!! i think i saw them play once against oaks college..the score was likee sixty something to a little bit..Charter oak would love to beat Muir in the playoffs that would be a good game mustang fan..

Why get all bent out of shape over this guy's post....
He starts of pounding his chest then backs down like little girl and lays out his laundry list of why they are going to fail.
Typical Westsider!

who is this guy? Muir...seriously? You guys think that thug crap is gonna work out here? You will be playing the big boys and not have much success. Be real, I mean appreciate your love for the ponies I mean mustangs, but CO would kill you. I hate CO but I respect the program, you should take note.

Mr Stang

You better take care of business first, get there, win and then you might have some bragging rights.

Until then, you're just another blogger wanting a piece of the pie or should we say RING. LOL

Hey Fred, good to hear all is well on the vacation, don't OD on the Ghiardelli chocolate or whatever it is you guys do up in nocal for kicks. I already answered the stanger in question down below but I am hoping the guys here on the blog can help me with something else.

I am trying to cut back this year. Previous Prep seasons have seen me view as many as three games per week 3 or 4 times through the season. It looks like old age and $5 gas will temper that a bit this year. (Besides, I still have two games taped from last season I haven't even seen yet).

In advance, I've already decided no Mater Dei, no Mission Viejo, Oh Lu, or Servite games this year. They are served plenty well by FSW and those $5000 50/50 drawings are just too nerve racking. So as I plan out my season of fun I still find one week with too much going on. Could you guys help me out please?

Week 2 has three games Friday night I would like to see: Charter Oak and Diamond Bar, Amat and West Covina, and South Hills and La Habra. Now I know I am going to see C O play at least twice during the season and I plan on making the Amat/Loyola contest week 5 and the WCo vs Glendora week 3. Does that make the Highlander-Huskie match a lock?

I'm leaning that way, what do you guys think?
