New York: Day 4

| | Comments (8) |

Well, my final day in New York ended with experiencing what ESPN refers to as "The Greatest Rivarly in Sports."
Personally, I always that that was USC vs. UCLA. But I have to admit this seemed like more than a baseball game tonight. It actually had that feel of a UCLA-USC football game.
You could just feel the excitement at the beginning, but it soon subsided as the Red Sox, who have owned the Yankees since rallying from three games down in the 2004 American League Championship Series, scored two runs in the first, two more in the second before settling for a 7-0 win.
I'm glad I was able to witness this classic series and this ball park for the first time.
They can now give it to the wrecking ball.

Here's I am at Thursday's game.

After the game my friend and I dropped by the famed "Restaurant" on the 'Seinfeld' series, and no I didn't see Jerry, Elaine, Kramer or even George. And the place doesn't look anything like the stage set.

But here I am at the "Restaurant."

Now, it's time to come home. Thank you, New York, for a wonderful time.

The loans suppose to be useful for guys, which want to start their own career. As a fact, that's very comfortable to receive a car loan.

Amat played in the morning seesion of the Claremont tourney. Won 3 (Ayala, Barstow and Etiwanda) lost 1 (Palmdale). Made it to tomorrows round which starts at 8. Good luck all.

I would really like to make a comment here about this east coast stuff, but if I do, I am afraid that someone might think im a communist this time around.

Steve thanks for sharing your vacation with us. Part of my retirement [lans included seeing every rivalry game with mentioning in college football.

Oklahoma/Nebraska
Florida/Florida State
Army/Navy
Michigan/Ohio State
Texas/Oklahoma
ect.
Also would love to finally set foot on "Holy Land" Notre Dame Stadium aganst Boston College

Nothing is better than getting out and meeting people and seeing how passionate others are outside our little valley.

Once again Steve thanks again.

PS. Every Amaerican should visit Wasington DC once before they leave this great land of ours. The sacrifice and history of this great country is on dispaly everywhere...we're not perfect but we are still the land of opportunity and the place where dreams are possible if your bust your butt and get it done.

New York: I'm afraid I didn't make it to Koronet's; I already had my fill of NY pizza. But yes, did enjoy the ground crew's version of "YMCA," although thought it was a little quarky.
I also enjoyed being able to take the subway from place to place. We definitely need something like that out here.

Joe Amat: My flight home left about the time the contest started, but glad to hear Cornett held onto the title. I guess his "practice" efforts worked.

Steve,
Glad you made it up to Tom's Diner. Did you stop by Koronets Pizza near by? How did you enjoy the "YMCA" performance at The Stadium during the fourth inning?

Steve-O,

I tried to catch you in the background at Nathan's trying to top Kobayashi and Joey Chestnut. Epic battle with Chestnut victorious in overtime.

I hope you at least stopped by Lombardis on Spring Street. Historic pizza... although I prefer Chicago style.
