Vote for Giambi, Rowand
Hi all,
I've updated Prep Stars: Where are you now? blog.
I write about former area prep stars Jason Giambi of South Hills and Aaron Rowand of Glendora, who are among the 10 players fans can vote for in the All-Star Game Final Vote.
Lets back these two local players and help them make the MLB All-Star Game.

i just saw the star news today and saw the olympic medalist shooter that went to school in arroyo hs and now resides in monrovia. three medals, two of them gold; quite impressive.

I remember Rowand from Pony League all-stars. That was the year Orangewood hosted zone and got eliminated (I think maybe DQ'd for brawling). They had a bunch of WestCo Dukes guys and were loaded, but Walnut went all the way instead.
Anyway, I remember Rowand trying to get my team pumped up down at a Nowalk regional tournament just because we were also from the SGV. Rowand has my vote.

...and they are having more than so-so year if they are 1 of the 10 players that MLB deemed worthy to be on the ballot for fan voting.
It is cool that Mike and Danny were selected by baseball people, but the more the merrier!

Hey guys, I just thought it was neat that two guys on the Final Vote ballot are from the SGV...that's 20 percent of the candidates.
Wouldn't you guys like to see four guys from the Valley make it, stead of just two?

I dont think either Giambi or Rowand is worthy of a All Star Selection. Both are having so so years. I liked seeing Bishop Amats Danny Haren and Michael Young being selected. Would be cool to see them face off against one another during this game. SGV being represented in that last All Star game in the Bronx is priceless.

Steve, are you jet lagged still?Giambi and Rowand,...lol the only 2 guys from the SGV, who made it and deserved it are the Amat guys, Young and Haren again.........your nearsighted,homer mentality is second only to Robledo, lol
