Your blog really brought the main things to light which i never would have considered before reading it. You should continue this, I know many people would agree you have a present.
Hello, please do inform us when I could see a follow up!
Hey there, please inform us when all can see a follow up!
Great stuff, please do tell us when you publish again something like this!
Hi, please do tell us when all can see a follow up!
Yay, W.Covina
la serna?? wrong thread
Let's talk Varsity Girls Volleyball 2008 season... watch out for double trouble Kelcie Randazzo and Karli Nelson, both exceptional players for the La Serna Lady
Lancers...2007 All-Area First Team and First Team All-League as Sophomores...Remember their names! Both of these athletes will represent the Lady Lancers with total class! Both are power hitters and Kelcie Randazzo as a Utility Player, both will totally dominate along with their teammates!
Let's go Lady Lancers!! YOU KNOW!!
earned the right to pursue several hobbies= old retired fart with too much time on his hands
Now we gotta get some wins against that schedule. THEN we'll know where we stand.
We'll see.
Good legwork.
Ignore Donkey-Boy
Some people are just jealous that we have earned the right to pursue several hobbies and have high=speed internet that allows that search to be done a little quicker!:?)
amat sucksssss:
Wouldn't bother me in the slightest if Amat went 0-10 or 14-0. I have no vested interest in them one way or the other.
BTW, I have several hobbies. Following football just happens to be one.
Jhykron needs a hobby. strength of schedule isnt going to mean a hill of beans when amat goes 0-10
Joe Amat:
There you go. You want to push your strength of schedule, tell people Amat's average opponent is ranked more than 100 places higher than the average opponent of any team in the valley.
Average opponents state ranking for the Montview League:
Azusa 857.5
Basset* 856.778
Duarte 710.4
Gladstone 838.9
La Puente 772.8
Sierra Vista 879.7
Workman 885.444
* - One of Basset's opponents (Firebaugh of Lynwood) is unrated, and not figured in the average.
Average opponents state rankings for the Sierra League:
Ayala 347.7
Chino 310.4
Chino Hills 294.5
Damien 241.8
Diamond Bar 334.9
Glendora 241.6
Valle-Vista Leage, average opponents state Ranking:
Baldwin Park 617.7
Covina 563.9
Ganesha 653.5
Northview 573.1
Pomona 696
San Dimas 619.9
Average opponents state rankings for the San Antonio League:
Nogales 525.9
Rowland 507.9
South Hills 462.6
Walnut 562.5
West Covina 441.1
Average opponents state rankings for the Miramonte League:
Bonita 385.6
Charter Oak 320.6
Diamond Ranch 294.6
Los Altos 263.2
Wilson 483.8
Joe Amat is a junkie? I knew something was wrong with you. They have rehab programs for junkies. Seek help quickly
looks like 10 ass kickings coming to me for amat
Isn't MaxPreps/CalPreps great for info junkies?!?
Joe Amat:
Maybe go by opponents average state rating?
Los Osos #30
Lutheran #7
West Covina #286
Damien #262
Diamond Ranch #180
St. Francis #205
Chaminade #214
Loyola #74
Crespi #5
SO Notre Dame #97
Average Rank (lower means stronger schedule) 136
Hmmm... maybe I should run it on other valley teams.
True - Top 10 would be better.
That would drop out our "easy games" against lower ranked teams like Chaminade, Loyola, and Notre Dame.
Ouch!
Actually, Los Altos, (with admittedly a much weaker schedule than Amat), can make that top 20 poll claim:
0. San Dimas (Mid Valley 1)
1. Northview (Mid Valley 6)
3. Ayala (Central 6)
4. West Covina (Southeast 6)
5. La Serna (Southeast 9)
6. Bonita (Southeast 14)
7. South Hills (Southeast 1)
8. Diamond Ranch (Southeast 2)
9. Charter Oak (Southeast 3)
10. Wilson (Southeast 15)
Come to think of it, since each division only has around 30 teams, any team in a league that (relative to their whole division) is solid from top to bottom could probably make the same claim.
... How the heck, in a year where the team has a whopping 2 returning starters, do they manage to get the #1, #2, and #3 rated team in their own division back to back to back. Sheesh.
AHC,
EVERY team on Amat's schedule is ranked in the Top 20 in their preseason poll. I'm certain no one else can make that claim. THAT'S competition.
#1 Los Osos
#3 Orange Lutheran
#6 West Covina
#10 Damien
#2 Diamond Ranch
#10 St. Francis (Western Division)
#11 Chaminade (Western Division)
#16 Loyola
#2 Crespi
#19 Notre Dame (SO)
Congratulations. now you have two AA meetings to go to!
Competition in order to compete at the highest level...DONT GO TO AMAT

okayy sooo cal high and santa fe is on on south east division and not la serna
come on now
LOOK out for us
lancer football !!
St. Tartan,
Los Altos wins there series with Damien and pretty soundly I might add to the tune of 3-1 and you want to leave them out?!?
Really?
Well, let me ask you, do your three previous Freshman classes look ANYTHING like LA's?
I know what's rolling in next year as well...can you say dynasty?!
hey Deal with it
your a f-in idiot, glendora didnt win on a hb pass against upland, they won on a PLAY ACTION pass, get your facts straight, i really want to see charteroak play actual good teams!
glendora hands down is in a whole different league compared to Bishop Amat,
San Dimas, Diamond Ranch, West Covina, Los Altos, South El Monte, Rosemead, Bonita, Diamond Bar, Northview and Wilson
glendora should make a league with, saint damien, charter oak, south hills, and then rotate the next best team in the area
A MUST-READ!
Where does our pride come from?
http://www.latimes.com/sports/highschool/la-sp-hslbs31-2008aug31,0,4127742.column
Every time an SGV high school makes the LA Times, it's good for the entire area.
skool is right. amat gets too much press for a team whose not even in the top 10 in the rankings for the pac 5
GO BACK TO SKOOL!
I'm guessing the football coaches that vote on the poll know a little more about the game than any of us
WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT THE Q.B LEAVING AMAT. WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT AMAT. THEY GET TOO MUCH PRESS FOR A TEAM THAT PLAYS BELOW WINNING STANDARDS. LETS SEE SOME INFO ON SCHOOLS THAT HAVE THAT WINNING ATTITUDE, NEWS ABOUT TEAMS THAT ARE ON THE RISE OR INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITHIN THEIR TEAM'S SUCCESS. AMAT IS NO LONGER THE BIG DAWG IN THE SGV. . . THATS ALL HISTORY.
LA times with an article about a player from a 3-7 team? no wonder that newspaper is going down the toliet. donkey writers
playall day....lucky play??? Are you nuts????
Franco's Immaculate Reception, Flutie's Hail Mary 60 yard bomb. Cordell Stewart's 50 yard bomb, Cal game winning kick off return to win THE GAME, the Miracle in Tennessee, and on and on...by the way didn't the Tartans win a playoff game against Upland on that very play? Or one just like it?
The game is played until the horn goes off. Every second counts. Every play counts. Every point counts and YES every WIN counts.
DEAL WITH IT!
co rules
one lucky play at end of game, who the heck did co play? upland? no, corona centenial? no, any top teams other than ghs, just one lucky play, who on co is going d1? nobody
LA Times-what are you thinking? no Allen? Deen? Gimore? Barbone? Why pick someone from "broken down" Amat?
wake up SGV. even when they're down - they're not!
playallday
The Scottie Dog is about as tough as it gets for Glendora.
Still didnt answer the question... Wonder why!
co rules
i think that metro train buzzing past your house and school at 50 mph must have rattled something loose in your head, wake up and smell the scottie dog, ghs rules
Nice piece on Isaiah Bowens in the Times.
Just shows how big Amat is in the world of prep sports and it is not just limited to the SGV folks.
An old friend from Miami just called and said the Pac-5 is in a little trouble. LB Poly just ran all over preseason #1 in the nation Miami Northwestern.
Northwestern prides itself on its speed, but the rain from Gustav may have neutralized that a bit. The only ray of hope may be that Poly showed no passing game at all.
Playswithgirls, ASU only recruits JC players!

Who cares what some scout from Arizona says. The year of the Tartans produced how many guys that actually received full rides? Scouts talk but until the head coach drops the paper on signing day, doesn't mean squat..
You guys crack me up. Talk s--- about other schools and you've done nothing this year.. Last year, how many smaller schools did you lose too? Want to remember that?
Go Warriors! Ranked or unranked, we gotta play with the same heart and fire that propelled a potentially disasterous season into a successful one.
Let's go Warriors! Time to strap the helmet on tight and start hittin!
co rules,
omg, you need to take in a ghs practice and then tell me there are playmakers, the arizona state scout thinks your wrong
ATTN: knowslittle, Notre Dame has tradition and look at them. I would ease up on the smack until the young men play a game. SD might have enough to get over on your tradition. I would be more concerned about league play, your only victory will be getting the wheel or mug or whatever the hell you guys play for back against wilson.
playallday | August 29, 2008 11:54 PM
I wouldn't go talkin about other schools.
You guys have NO PLAYERMAKERS in that program.
People will never agree with rankings in pre-season, only time and stats will tell us the truth. The most important thing is may GOD watch over all our young men keep them all safe this season. LETS PLAY SOME FOOTBALL!!!!
Know All
Didnt you you see the movie Hoosiers. Small town basketball school in Indiana takes on state power house to win Indiana State title.. Not Hollywood Bozo..True story! You see even the sun shines on a dogs ass ever once in awhile. So maybe little San Dimas just might spank big ol tradition laden Los Altos.
And remember this is a family blog potty mouth. Your momma ought to wash your mouth out with soap.
la and sd are both weak, either of them wouldnt last ten minutes in the seirra league, ghs will go 9-3, thats right, heard it here first, win sierra league, and live up to maxpreps #1 sgv ranking
Knows all (AKA LA Parent)
Still think you're going to win 8 games.
So much for the 6th! Put your money where your MOUTH is.
I'll increase the bet by $1000. When do you want to drop off the money...
tradition? thats the past. fuckin idiot
Where's La Habra? Santa Fe, Schurr and West Covina, but no La Habra? Aren't they in the SE division?
hey big bad la fan la not even top ten ha ha even lower when they get beat up by northview on sept. 11 see you there
Popason
Don't get your Panties in a Bunch. That transfer was just coming home to roost after realizing he was playing for a lousy Amat team in 2006.And yes we did win all those games because I was there and the scoreboard reflected that.
It's just to bad that we had a knuklehead for an AD that could'nt cross his Tee's and eye's because I don't want any kids to have that taken away from them just because of some bad paper work that was'nt done right. That knucklehead is gone buy the way and Roddy Layton is a good coach and is putting out a very good team this year. I hope we can live up to our billing.
Popason hopefully your team will crack the list sometime this season!!! "MAYBE"
LOS ALTOS FOOTBALL!!!!
LOS ALTOS FOOTBALL!!!!
LOS ALTOS FOOTBALL!!!!
4 MORE SCHOOL DAYS!!!
LETS TURN THIS MUTHA OUT!!!!
Is this some sort of misprint?!?!?!
CIF can't be serious about their MID-VALLEY div. rankings.... WTF!?!
!!!FEAR THE MEAD!!!WAR PANTHERS!!!
Enough talk.
Let's play some Football...
GO FALCONS
Why would Diamond Ranch have a 7-3 Record.
Didn't they forfiet games because an illegal transfer.
CIF forfieted their games and they didn't go to the playoffs.
Now they are saying they won those games!!!!!
Confusing isn't it??????
Someone needs to get the story straight?
