Ok all i hear from SD is nico nico nico ... i guess he's the only player on the field. Remember SD you have no right to put yourself on the spotlight until you accomplish something. And it looks like its this year and down the drain you go again. I wont be surprised if the conquerors get their minds straight from all your crap talking and take it to you on your own field.But I'll give you this, you have balls to challenge a proud team like LA.

From what I've heard from those that have seen film on Nico is that he isn't as good as portrayed. Slow, no moves, heavy feet. Doesn't appear to be that big, or strong in the photo either.

You play with 11 players in a football game. True they have two very talented players but is the supporting cast there to support their superstar status in a game. They also need a defense, does Los Osos have a decent defense? This is one Amat better teams this year barring no major injuries so you will see a very hungry and talented team in Amat coming to play this year. Amat wins this game over at Los Osos this year. It will be close tho.

Amat will lose to Los Osos, have u heard of Richard Brehaut- he committed to UCLA and was the top player at the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp for the top 11 qbs in the nation, he will torch amat. They also have a star runningback named Arby Fields who asu wants.

To LA Fan, LA Parent, LA Supporter, LA Wacko, LA... LA... LA...
Your problem won't be with Nico Barbone alone. The Saints have a really big and powerful offensive line. The also have a great defensive interior with fantastic linebackers. In fact, I think Barbone is their second best running back. Daniel Joseph (#6) is stronger and faster than Barbone and if the defense from LA tries to stop Barbone, DJ will run all over them. Again, the O-line will be the difference. Check this out:
Doll - 6-1 @ 220 (Guard)
Salm - 6-6 @ 280 (Tackle)
Smith - 6-5 @ 250 (Tackle)
Boots - 6-2 @ 300 (Center)
Hoskins - 6-0 @ 220 (Guard)

Here's the scary part. They're all pretty fast and Doll is extremely athletic. Boots is D1 strong (180 lbs. 32x at the recent lineman contest!). Smith runs as well as anyone his size in the entire valley. Salm is coming off a knee injury, but cubic inches don't have slumps! Hoskins is the fastest lineman in the valley. There is no way LA can control the line of scrimmage. SD will win this game going away. LA just doesn't have the tools it needs to compete. On top of it all... Zernikow will out coach the newby at LA by a mile. He knows his team inside and out and will bomb LA from start to finish! So... one month and we'll know for sure... but for now... we can only be 99.9999999999% sure!

I would have to disagree with LA being the best program in the area, NO QB's or Receivers, A small ass D & O line and RB's that are small. I've been to the practices and what I saw does not look good, the coaches are a bunch of returners that once played at LA with hopes to teaching a winning mystic, look its easier to play than to coach, first get the respect of the players. 2-8 season for LA.....I'm just being realistic

Just keep talking SD...Remember Los Altos is the best program in the SGV over the past 15 years. We're not rolling over for anyone let alone a VVL team such as San Dimas. Anyway I heard Nico got all of his yards in Gargabe time when SD was losing by 40 to OC. From what I've heard our coaches aren't impressed with Nico, or the Saints period.

It was 28-14 at halftime and Amat was in cruise control in last years game vs Los Osos. You are right, you have to take the game outright, Amat stayed in cruise control made no adjustments at halftime (a normal for Verti and staff in every game) Los Osos made the necessary adjustments came out and took the game away from them. This year, different Staff (more exp.) and some very talented players over at Amat. Is this enuf to beat Berhalt and that Los Osos passing machine at home, I say Amat comes away with the win this time but a very close game. This experience staff at Amat will make a HUGE differance in lots of games won this season that Amat lost last season. Amat 24 Los Osos 21

Charter Oak and Chino High School sadly buried one of their finest men today. He was the head wrestling coach for the Chargers then later left and was currently the head wrestling coach for the Cowboys. He also coached lower level football while he was at Charter Oak too. He was an extraordinary teacher, coach, and role model at work to his students and players and just as phenomenal father and husband at home with his family. May Mr./Coach David Gonzales rest in peace and God bless his soul!

I've read earlier in the summer on the Whittier blog that the Ranch might have some talent this year, There was some great tradition at that school in earlier years, I agree it could be a physical game.

I really dont like when people say well this team should have won that game...ala Bishop Amat last season against Los Osos....no Amat should not have won that game(Los Osos excuted more often then Amat)...it is a weak excuse the whole would've, should've, could've....if a team is meant to win a game then they find a way to get it done....you can tell me well if this went their way or if they did not turn the ball over in this situation or whatever it is...the fact remains the team that preforms better in pressure situations is the team that is going to win...therefore they are the team that deserves to win does.

Bishop Amat vs. Los Osos. Great game to see how Damien will do against Amat. Can Amat' s corners and Hagerty's defensive schemes match up with "THE ARM". And what if any will Amat look like out of the gate. If they lose by 30 its personnel...if he win by 30 WATCH OUT! Once again I like the ball in the air...except when it's picked off. Los Osos wins by 21 is that alot? Depends.

Charter Oak vs Aliso Niguel. Wow is Farrar and company tough or what? Going homer on this one...Charter Oak loses in overtime. Hey I said I was going homer.

Rancho Cucamonga vs Damien. This will be a great match up. DHS has a new QB and a senior class that is waiting for greatness. Tonight is opening night...will it be the Titantic or Gone with the Wind. Either way expect their to be BIG SOMETHING! Ive got my ticket and popcorn ready!

El Rancho and West Covina...wow what a match up! El Rancho hires DC Roddy Hyatt and after almost back to back winless seasons comes out hitting and hitting some more. Roddy's a friend and has a great coaching history. dan expect a game of hitting! Love you Roddy but WC has bigger plans. West Covina wins BIG! 20-0 Too bad they don't give POINTS for BIG HITS!

Ayala vs Duarte. God I'm so sad to see Baca go. But he's off to bigger and better thing. This game will tells us if Ayala is goig to do the same..Bigger and Better or One Trick Pony. Ayala by 14...winning is contagious and that Ayala coaching staff is on to somehing.

Western Christian vs Gladstone. Feast or Famine. The HAVE's against the HAVE NOT's. I might go see this game if only for the mrbid nature of this match up and all it's implications. Being a Private school guy I'll go with WC enen though my cousins playe at Gladstone.

Gabrielano va La Puente. best picture last year was La Puente win the Title and that kid being carried off with the big guy crying with his finger raised. NO 1....doesn't get better than that! a Puente in a landslide. Way to go Ray!!!!

I agree I just do not see Amat winning on the road to a team they lost at home to last year. Los Osos had a young team that comes back with their starting QB and RB. Then on to O-Luth the following week for amat. Hags better hope he gets that first win at Los Osos because he is not going to beat O-Luth in week 2. You come home to WC 0-2 or 1-1 if Amat should pull the best start and come home 2-0 they are looking at a 8-2 season.

In terms of the ENTIRE valley, I would have to say Muir vs. DR is the number one game of the week for Week 0. Both teams will be completely different in November than they will be on September 5th, but the game will nonetheless set a tone for the Southeast.
