Trib After Dark ...

I'm looking for ways to make the Friday night football experience even better. As of now, we post quarter-by-quarter updates, and recap all the games on our Friday night/weekend thread, "Saturday Morning Quarterback." But what can we do with this new live streaming video technology? I've thought about going to a local sports bar, inviting prep fans and bloggers to chat it up from 11:30 to 12:30, but with our deadlines, I'm not sure how feasible that is. More realistic would be going live in the newsroom from 11:30 to 12:30 and talking it up with reporters who were at the games, which also allows you to ask us questions and have a dialog for the hour we're live. Any other suggestions?

Also, I'm not trying to go Aram on you, but if you haven't tried Dino's chicken & fries across the street from Gladstone High School on Arrow Hwy, you haven't tried chicken. El Pollo Loco and Juan Pollo are good, but Dino's takes it to another level. And get this, you get it all for something like $5 bucks.

Snob,

What a Hoodrat you sound like..using terms like Fool and Boobster. What are you 14 with a wife beater shirt on already, Tattoos that make you look like the tough guy you are not. Lil Pu--y that runs with a gang. it will not be long before you are behind bars and being traded for packs of cigarettes. Keep talking your trash you will get that mouth closed one day and then opened while in prison.

Thank you for making my point about wine drinkers being snob. You comments hammer my point home. You belong with the amat donkeys. Fool!

Covina Booster,
Thanks. You've pretty much described the dope who constantly posts the same trash over and over again.

I have been to and done many Wine tastings and only a idiot would connect a Wine drinker to a Snob. Wine tasting is a very popular thing today and if pair right with a BBQ it makes for a great meal. A intresting thread gets put out there and here comes these pot shot morons that have no clue what they are talking about. Enjoy your season BB&G and keep that grilled steak and Red wine going over there at Amat.

Covina Booster,
Welcome to the stupid crap we deal with on a daily basis.

Snobs,

Show me one SGV school that does not have beer pounding dads. Football (college, pro HS does not matter) is tailgates, which include Food and Beer. Wine is good with food but I guess your classless ghetto upbringing would not know that after pounding down Bergie beer with dad in the garage. Wine adds a touch of class to any BBQ the combination of taste is complimentary to one another. I guess with the word wine you only know Ripple and boonesfarm. Get a life LOWLIFE.

wine tasting at amat tailgate partys? can you say stuck up snobs? the only thing i see is overweight dads pounding cold ones

I have seen elegant Wine tasting Dinners at a Amat Tailgate. Tabels candle lit with expensive Wine with all the trimmings to go along with their their steaks. The carne Asada hamburgers and Hotdogs are still there but I have witnessed some tailgate servings that compare to restaurants over in that Amat parking lot. Sad that it is all gone after having problems last year.

have the school kids broadcast for their schools. They know the players and have the insight about the team. Also it gives them a chance to write and produce.

You really should consider who this is about and that's the student athletes that entertain us every
Friday night and compete on the football field.

this talk about going to a local bar or back to your newsroom may be attractive to you but I would rather you include the kids in whatever venue.

How about a behind the scenes with a different team every week showing them from Monday to Saturday on and off campus with particular players and even coaches if given permission by the parties involved.

Bottom line: less writers like you, bloggers, parents, and more of the KIDS FIRST!

How about live streaming game?

I'm talking the whole game entirely on the internet.

We could blog as the game is in process!

Especially during half time!

Maybe you can choose a game of the week.

Isn't the Mid Valley News doing that Friday night thing already?

Yeah looks good but I'd still drive through Alberto's. Isn't that other paper "Mid Valley News" doing that Friday night thing already?

Freddy, it figures you would mix food into a post. Sounds like me. Now I know where to go when I come back to visit.

It's between Glendora and Bishop Amat...they both do it right...Duarte serves up some pretty tasty carne asada and I wish the District Field would get some better stuff on the menu.

Fred, Call out the parents! What school has the best tailgate food. You can eat for free before every game and put away some cold one's. Damn, I want your job. I think Steve R. has been doing it for years.

Dino's made it to the SGV....

Nice

The one off of Vermont and Pico (Mid-City Los Angeles) is one of the best Chicken Places in the Nation.... down the street from Loyola H.S.

The idea of a streaming report from a local venue is great although, like you, I have no idea of what it would take to make happen tech-wise.

But just think about a Smudge Pot post game report from T Phillips or Michaelangelo's, celebrating the Huskies against the Highlanders at BJ's, or another big Charter Oak victory at Albertos.

Whoooooo!

Damn dude, did you have to put that up before lunch, it looks soooo good.
