Coach P. is like Alex Rodriguez of the Yankees never comes up big in big games.

Claim to be the top dog of the SGV when Amat slapped them and their Cook QB around a few years ago. They wanted no more after that.

Good league team BUT THEIR LEAGUE IS WEAK AS ALL HELL.

Playoffs they get their a--es handed to them then make excuses, Injury, Pasqy, Referees etc.

Last but not least they have the ugliest football uniforms and cheerleaders in the SGV.

i find it amazing that seemingly intelligent people don't understand that other than amat, every other high school in the san gabriel valley plays in weak divisions and woefully weak leagues. therefore, they get the most press. i did not go to amat, but it seems simple to me. boise state is not going to get the same kind of ink that usc gets or any school in the pac 10 regardless of how good they are. i don't mean to offend, it's just crazy to me that some of you expect your schools to get more coverage. maybe when amat becomes prominent again, the rest of the valley will enjoy more coverage.

you might not have seen his name in the paper but just incase u didnt know he didnt play half of the season and had 14 receptions 300 yards recieveing and 4 touchdowns. And 2 of those 4 touchdowns came againts the sorry aztecs. exactly he cant win and what have u guys been doing. Not winning thats for sure. a leauge championship is nothing big in montview league come on kid. And u wont even win leauge either.

I'm tempted to give you grief for Amat getting their own "Breakdown" as Lancer 2 DN noted well, when the Tartans are emerging as the program top dog in the valley, but I do understand history. Give it a year or two and you may need to start the Tartan Tales or Rag or... I see Max preps and Cal preps has us rated pretty dang strong this year. I'm believing they are right, but I also know that the next couple years may be better. We'll find out quick this year with Upland to start off and the most wicked pre-season they had in recent memory. Would love to see us playing BA and CO again, but the other matchups are going to be just as tough. Good group of kids from last year's strong senior are class are playing on Saturday's. Yeah, most at JC's but there's no shame in that. I think there's 5 or 6 at Citrus, 1 or 2 at SAC and 2 at Chaffey. Also 2 kids playing at APU. There's 2 or 3 others that I was bummed to hear that hung it up (for now). Good luck to the Tartans and to the recent grads.

You are spending a lot of time hyping a team that has not been good for a long time. Why?

Best case scenario, they win league or make it to the playoffs. They are not going to win CIF. I doubt they will win a game. The Montview League does not test the teams that make it to CIF. Hence, these teams get destroyed by teams that had better competition in their leagues.

Fred, keep an eye on #47 of AZUSA, he had the most quarterback sacks in the Montview League last season with 9.5 sacks,just ahead of Justin Harris, from Duarte. Please see maxpreps.com.

And was honored first team offense and defense player in the SGV Tribune.

He's also the punter and plays both offense and defense.

Was AZUSA's Most Valuable Player last season, and he was only a junior!

This year he's stands 6'0 ft. 180LBS and is the team captain.

I'm projecting he should be the player of the Montview League this year!(WATCH).
