McClanahan to start for Bishop Amat?
Sources have told me that Bishop Amat will likely start junior quarterback Jerry McClanahan on Friday against powerful Orange Lutheran, replacing senior Nick Lenhart, who was 15 of 27 for 197 yards in last week's 24-20 loss to Los Osos.

HaHaHa. Mcclanahan IS the real deal No doubt about it. No way Amat wins that game with out Jerry in there. He never got stressed. He kept his poise the entire game and kept playing despite being down by 24 in the 1st quarter. My heart goes out to Lienart who worked his butt off for this team all summer. He had a good attitude on the sideline and deserves credit for sacking up and making a contribution. Great all around team effort to get the tough win.

LA Parent,
Do you want to show me WHERE we are talking $#i+? Maybe you should take a reading comprehension class or stop trying to read between the lines.
We know this is going to be a tough game and no one is talking like we have it won. Take a hike!

How can you say the new coach at LA was a step in the right direction when they are losing to teams like SD and NV? That would have never happened under Gano or DeSpain.

I am a LA fan, I really would like to see BA pull this one out. But you have all these BA bloggers talking the sh*t makes it real tuff to support your local team. I personally think the new HC at BA & LA are a great step in the right direction. The Wilson one was two steps back.

If somehow Jerry wills a win and pulls the unthinkable what does that say for Lenharts playing time. It may not happen(the win) but if Jerry does a outstanding joband keeps it close all we will have now is a QB contreversy. If Jerry flops or gets racked up then I could see the point in saving Lenharts a--. I mean Lenhart went against O-LUTH last year and this last game vs Los Osos his stats were not bad. This is a very good O-LUTH team so whomever is under center tonite really has his hands full. I personally would like to see Amat upset them.

Orange Lutheran by at the least 21 points...anything under that and Amat hung close again this time to a superpower team.

With that line that did not impress me? Maybe they are throwing JerryMc. to the wolves to protect their so called GOLDEN BOY Lenhart from getting banged up from that force of those blitzing LB from OLUTH. They are not giving Jerry a fair chance they are protecting Daddy and MILF'S boy. This is where I hope Jerry comes up big and does a great job in this their second loss, but rest assured Lenhart will be back for the West Covina , Damien and Diamond Ranch Games. They are protecting Lenharts a-- here. I could see the parents saying dont play our Son against O-LUTH we dont want him hurt.

"Fair Coach" or is he throwing Mclanahan to the wolves against Olu ???? Olu vs Los Osos, no comparison. Who is he going to throw the ball to, himself ??? Hopefully he lets the kid start at least a couple of games to get a fair shake !

good move
You dont juggle QBs when you have a solid number 1. its obvious hags is confused. Amat is going to get hammered again this week.

Good luck to Jerry and the rest of the Lancers. Jerry is a great kid and his parents don't hang out on the sidelines during the games. Lenhart should stick to punting. He is actually pretty good at kicking the ball.

Lets see what McClanahan can do, from what I hear he is the real deal. I wish he would have been given the chance to compete last year, we will see. Smart move by the coach, he needs to see each player under fire. This sure will be a big test for him.

hahaha. you are a idiot. This coach Hagerty is for real. Lenhart did not do too bad vs Los Osos. Starting McClanahan only means he is giving the QB position more thought and wants to see both play a starting role until he decides who is going to lead them in the second half of the season. I would not be surprised if he switched them back and fourth for the next 3 games giving both a start for 2 games then deciding. Fair coach and smart one I may add.
