Breaking News: Withem begins practicing

San Dimas High linebacker Kyle Withem, suspended since the third week of the season for violating team and school rules, will begin practicing with the Mid-Valley Division's top-ranked and undefeated Saints (7-0) this week. However, Withem will not be allowed to play unless the Saints reach the second round of the CIF playoffs, which is almost a certainty. Coach Bill Zernickow said that Withem must finish a mandatory "10 week" suspension for violating the school's athletic code. Zernickow, decided against, however, suspending his senior for the remainder of the season.
"I wanted to see how he responded to this, and how he would do with his school work," Zernickow said. "He's a special kid in my heart."
