setters do not get enough
props. They run the court
are very much leaders. At least for SH. Danielle Stewart is awesome. She is fun to watch and you can just see she loves the game.
and knows it well. She should get player of the year. MVP

Dianna Lake from Charter Oak should receive consideration.

Cneal, Three players from Los Altos, wow, have they turned the season around and no one notice. I would agree with you that these three players are talented but player of the week should go to someone who has helped their team win and take it to the next level. Still, I am very disappointed with Los Altos Volleyball with those players you named along with the big middle and other dimensions that they have. Once again, they return 4 all league selections and have nothing to show for it. I really don't think Coach De La Vara can push the same 4 for all league this year. It will be interesting.

If they make the playoffs and they probably will as the 3rd place team, they could possible make a run if they get some leadership from the seniors, which I have not seen this year.

Fred,

This is for athlete of the week, correct? Bloggers, I think this should go to the player who had the best previous week. For GHigh I would like to nominate Senior RS Diossenia Flores whose jump foater gave us an 11-1 lead against Northview leading us to dominate in the first set 25-5. Her passing is also one of the strengths of our serve receive and defense.
I think the program that had the best week is Diamond Bar with their victory over Glendora and winning the Gabrielino tourney-so one of their players should probably get the edge.

my only sugestion is that it is a senior.
Junior will get the spot light next year, and there are tons of stand out seniors in the area.

I nominate Rachel Aragon and Susan Carlson of Mayfield. The Cubs took second place in The Ayala Volleyball tournament defeating Upland, Glendora and others falling only to undefeated Los Osos. Both Rachel and Susan were named to the All_Tournament Team.
