Prep Stars Update

Hi All,

I just wanted to let you know about my latest post on Prep Stars: Where are you now?
I write about former Damien star Ian Johnson, who after being in the national spotlight following Boise State's upset over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl is now enjoying a limited role for the Broncos. I also share my best memory of one Johnson's biggest moments in high school.

Brett Pill just finished last season in A ball up in San Jose in the Giant organization and did pretty well. I think he had a bunch of doubles and 10 HR's. At 24, he'll probably be in AA ball next year depending on perceived Giant needs.

Sergio is in the Tampa Bay system after being dealt by the Dodgers in the Lugo deal a couple back; he finished in AA ball last season. The word on Pedroza is that while he can flat rake, he doesn't have the tools to play defense beyond the AA level, (the Rays actually were trying to turn him into a Catcher earlier last year).

Jaime had a similar season offensively to Pill at the Dodger single A affiliate in San Berdoo and at a relatively young 22 could play another year of A ball or head up to Jacksonville, errr, Chatanooga.

Great article on IJ.

Nothing because nobody cares.

What do the 2 posts have to do with IJ?

IJ's role may be limited due to Jeremy Avery, but he's still making major contributions as a team leader, special teams, running back and a great citizen in the Boise coummnity. His parents should be very proud!

I betcha Rick Neuheisel is kicking himself in the ass for not keeping Jacob Crook out of Glendora rather than Kevin Craft right now. As of last year Chris Forcier was behind Crook in the QB rotation.

What is up with Levelle Peterson? Is he playing at Utah or not?
