It's a real shame to think that your some athletes/students parents. It's one thing to talk bad about a sports program but another to talk bad about a student athlete that you know nothing about! We athletes try to give our 110% every time we set our feet on those fields or courts. And to have grown adults like you do nothing but bashes for our skills is very hurtful. You don't know what we go through you don't know how hard we work and you especially don't know how hard it is to please everybody especially critics like you. It's hard enough that we have to be perfect every time we set foot on the fields/court for our coaches, parents and friends. But we are only high school athletes not professionals so don't judge us for our imperfections praise us for abilities. Let us enjoy our time on the field. Stop the harsh critisisms towards us. We are not perfect and if our coaches didn't think that we are capable of getting the job done on those fields we wouldn't be out there trying to please everybody. I myself have been that freshman,sophmore and junior, varsity starter I have been bashed and talked crap about but you know what so far in my coaches eyes there must not have been anybody better that could do the job because I'm still out there. So there is a reason why he is on that field!

So why don't you all grow up a little and enjoy the friday night lights and those baseball and softball field and any other courts that you might set your feet on because soon enough those days will come to an end and who would of really cared what you thought of me or wallace or any other kid you try and bash!! Yes I am a friend of his and I'm not just praising him because I know him but because he is an awesome athlete.

I would say go to Bishop Amat and play with us but I'm actually frustrated with our offensive system. I have watched enough football against us and on T.V. to realize we are not very sophisticated and our philosophy is "old-school" Lancer football.

Bottom line though is I would never have my son in an environment like the one this kid is in now considering these posts obviously show he's not appreciated and respected by Glendora families.

Please stop your malicious comments because God forbid he or any of his peers have been on the blog and have read you sick remarks. He's still technically a minor and no child regardless of what your opinion is of him and/or his family should endure this kind of abuse.

So here is the deal with the Duarte/Workman game. The game was the worst reffed game that i have ever seen or been apart of. First off there were tons of bad calls for both teams. There were times when Pass interfernces weren't called or late hits that didnt happen. Or placing balls at the wrong spot. These refs didnt even know half the rules. One ref was calling it like a college rules game while the other was calling it like pop warner. You get the point. As for the ejections. Crutchfeild was ejected in the 3rd qt. Due to walking on the field and protesting a first down mesurment. Which to be honest they (Duarte) got a favorable spot to begin with. Now after Crutchfeild was ejected there were two game delays due to the Workman QB getting a concussion and Crutchfeild returning. Then at the end there were so many bad calls and non calls being made that both sidelines were going off on the refs. The last kick off resulted in cheap shots by both teams that lead to personal fouls that caused the ref to call the game with 1:59 left.Number 3 for Workman was not kicked out. He was brought out by the coaches. All in all the worst called game of the season of refs. Duarte beat Workman on the field but the truth was that the game had no flow due to the poor refs. The game was a lot closer than the final score...

MUIR is the best in the SGV. I saw the Thomas kid elude two defenders, get out of another, and run past the rest last night. Absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the officials ruined it by throwing a flag. What was really a good block on a CV defender. CV brought their best and MUIR came out on top. In the end the Stangs prevailed big time! Watch out eastside SGV.

On the other hand, Bonita has not yet played a team like this years CO team. The Chargers look "scary good" when they mix it up, and they hit like they mean it, which I'm sure you are already aware of.

You seem to have your pulse on certain interests, but may not see the whole picture as some do.

First of all, I salute the entire offensive team on their performance last night. Can't really say BP defense was better than Pomona. But if that Oline doesn't do it again, we lose!

SD is now 8-0 and 3-0 in league. Not too bad! It’s very difficult being a smaller school to over come depth every week, but the coaching staff has done a great job getting thru it! We should be very grateful to this point. No team at this level will ever be perfect and all we can do is support every player and hope they all step up!

One thing for sure, SD is going into the playoffs as #1 or #2 and that’s not all bad either. Sure we want #1, but I'll take anything just to get there. Because when we get there, all players will be back!

Work hard this week and let’s just see what happens. If you give 100% of yourself that’s all anybody can ask.

What really happened at the Duarte/Workman game? Comedy, pure utter comedy. Now, I am not saying that Crutchfield is at times loud, obxoxious, classless, out of control, and a number of other things, but his players love him. During the game, early in the first quarter after Duarte had taken a 6 point lead, the refs started calling motion penalties on Duarte's quarterback, saying he was moving his hands too much. Add on a pass interference and a phantom late hit on the quarterback,and Workman was about to score. The officiating in this game was horrible, ridiculous, and a poor example of grown men wanting to keep a game from flowing correctly. There had to have been 200+ yards in penalties the entire evening from both teams. Crutchfield was ejected with about 9 minutes left in the game for walking on the field, about 10 yards, to have a better look at a measurement that was very close. He didn't argue, didn't say a word, but was ejected for stepping on the field. He took his time to leave then, once outside the stadium, donned a jacket from someome, and watched. They stopped the game until he was totally out of the stadium. It was not a forfeit for Duarte. The game was called becasue towards the final minutes, a Workman coach came on the field screaming and yelling at the sidejudge for a non-pass interference call. He may have been ejected as well, I don't know. I know that number 3 from Workman was ejected as well. Again, I don't condone the actions of Crutchfield, but this time he actually didn't do much. His past actions make officials have a zero tolerance rule with him and his team.

Of course the kids "quit", what do you expect when nothing they've done this season seemed to work-out? Then, you've got "cheerleaders" like good ol Frank Corona providing poetic nonsense, forecasting completely unrealistic goals for the team, only for them to be brought back to reality the next Friday night.

Any objective evaluation of the Damien situation would have to come to one conclusion, Morrison should be done--if not, then make him freshman head coach.

Okay, so Muir did get hammered by a nationally ranked Oaks Christian team. We kept it close in the first half and three pick-6's led to our "a$$-whoopin." But the reality is that NO ONE in the SGV, besides your boys at Amat, has a win over ANY really good team. NO ONE. Big fish in a small pond? You're right. But is the size of the pond our fault? YOU might not want to make much of the Stangs, that's fine, but come November and December other teams will have to.

There have been several posts lamenting the defensive effort of the San Dimas Saints last night. Boy, I couldn't agree more! I'm aware San Dimas is missing it's best defender in Kyle Withem and it's best offensive threat in Nico Barbone... but for crying out loud! 400+ yards of passing? The defensive game plan was clearly not prepared for a passing attack. Ganesha and Northview will go to school on the tapes from this game and the Covina game and will prepare an offensive game plan that picks on the Saints' weak defensive back field. I just can't say enough about the offensive line play and the running from Daniel Joseph. He really stepped up (over 300 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns). Despite all the great effort from the offensive unit, based on the play of the defense and special teams... I think the Saints have to feel pretty lucky to have gotten away with a victory. And props to the Baldwin Park offense. Just like the Saints were let down by their defense, so was Baldwin Park. Scoring 46 points, you've got to feel bad for a team that goes away with a loss. The Saints are beginning to remind me a little of the BYU teams from the late 80s and early 90s... score 60 points and hope it's enough! Congradualtions to both teams... sloppy defense but really fun to watch!

Your post honestly sounds like a coach. Ok, I admit my post last night may have been too much but truthfully here we go again I am sick and tired of playing second fiddle to the mighty Charter Oak Chargers.
We made a statement last night and so did Coach Podley in the newspaper. I just truly believe were going to win outright because like Coach said we finally get to control our own destiny. We are a team of fate this year and no one especially those damn Chargers are going to stop us.
I don't call this bulletin material this instead is putting the pressure on us and we've learned so much from San Dimas. Notice a big game loss like that is doing more for us than their win.
Charter Oak are paper tigers and I believe when we play our best football and we are starting to peak right now no one can match up with us.
I know those Charter Oak kids and they are just not that good. We have the best quarterback and our coaches will out coach them too. Let the hype begin boys! Game over, we win. Let me think about a predication for the score.

Yes, it was a close sd vs cov game. and yes it would have been great to have Nico in there. But you know, why would you play a player that is even alittle bit hurt? San Dimas definetly going to playoffs. So in my opinion, it makes sense to keep your hurt players out healing during league so they are 100% better to kick some a** during the playoffs. And remember Witham will be back for the 2nd round of Cif. Now i have to ask. We kinda know who 1st/2nd place are, but who is taking 3rd? My opinion, i am not sure anymore.

Muir seems to be the big fish in the small pond over in the west SGV.

After reading Miguels blog I noticed some simularities between the OC argument and Amat over who is number one in thier rankings.

The folks over there just hammer on St Francis while the Muir fans keep proping up their team as number one in the area.

It would be nice argument if the team was really as good as advertised, but when Muir played a good team (the OTHER OC from Ventura county) then they got spanked; Real hard.

So beating up teams 40 to nothing is not to special, considering who they are playing against.

One thing to remember. Injuries are part of the game, and smaller schools have a tuff time dealing with them due to lack of depth. Its difficult to lose guys like Withem and Kohler.

The game that NV played against you was turnover city. There offense didnt really impress me, but there defense does.

For what it's worth, I just came back from the La Puente game and I have to tell you that, if you are correct, then that really explains why the Dons had their way with the Warriors tonight.

I was amazed by the ease in which Sierra Vista took it to them tonight because, how could a team equal to them (on paper anyway) smack em around so hard ?

I just thought it was an off night for their quarterback this evening, but maybe there was something else.

Coach (what coach?) Escamilla is leaving at year's end. His defense left the scene at the beginning of the season. Offensive is slowly leaving as well.

Hey maybe Thompson might come back, who knows....or maybe one of the assistant coaches who've left in the last 2 years.....

For a second (and not longer) I thought we had a chance at a dismal 2-3 season, but considering the circumstances, it looks like a 0-5 season.

Does SEMHS know, HS Varsity Football doesn't allow any teams to even hold a draft pick, even though they are, by far, the worst in the valley?

Maybe, just maybe, the outgoing "seniors" might wanna make room for guys who do want to play? The "veterans" of SEMHS Eagle Football this year have no heart, no (ala "Vince McMahon") "testicular fortitude" and for sure no DEFENSE.

I wouldn't say "better luck next year" cause that's asking way too damn much of a squad without determination.

I would say "what could possibly be worse?" I know, one of the current assistant coaches becoming head coach next year, yup! That will really be the hum-dinger and you can bank on it!

Rowland won tonight 28-7 over an undermanned Nogales squad. Rowland continues to make many unforced errors to trip themsleves up. Many lost fumbles do not make things easy on a team. They have big play ability. When you make big plays it does cover dumb mistakes. If they continue to stumble on their own, it will make things tough next week at South Hills...

We have to give "big kudos" to our OL. They opened holes again for the backs and Daniel had a great game. Probably his best HS performance. I bet he went over 300 and we have to thank our lucky stars. Playing without our full squad really shows!

But BP defense probably played as bad as ours. It was pretty easy racking up the yards on them.

Does anybody know when Nico is due back? Wow, do we miss him and Kyle?

Will take the win, so lets make some adjustments and get ready for a very good NV team.

It seems that Notre Dame just kicked to "caca" out of Crespi tonight.

Perhaps Crespi is the most over rated team in the Serra league (not Amat or Loyola), after two blow outs this year to good teams.

San Dimas is going to have to figure out their defensive game plan much better if they hope to continue winning. Their defense looked completely unprepared against a really average Baldwin Park offense. Baldwin Park was completely unable to run the ball but was still able to give San Dimas a scare with passing alone. Fred's remark atop this blog is right on the money... "When is Withem getting back?" On the other hand, the San Dimas offensive unit (without their best running back in Barbone) looked strong and hung a ton of points on a pretty good defensive unit from Baldwin Park. And how about Daniel Joseph (#6). He had a great game... Maybe 250 yards rushing and several touchdowns... he's a great complement to Barbone...

If your from Glendora your not allowed to watch film. That's like a major rule not to be broken

Just in from the SD/BP game...Saints defense is HORRIBLE!!!Could not stop BP all night long if not for the INT by Brown (from where I was sitting it sure looked like the ball hit the ground)the game could have ended with BP winning.

Glendora/Chino Hills was a well played game between two evenly matched teams.

It came down to the breaks - a Glendora fumble on the CH 5 early, and a possible blown call late.

On the (possible) blown call, it looked to me that it could be a fumble, or a catch and the ground knocking out the ball - but I sure couldn't see an incomplete pass. I remember the Chino Hills sideline, which had the better view, being rather surprised by the call, too. I'll be curious to see what the film show.

I think Morrison has had more players injured over the course of his Damien coaching career than offensive touchdowns...is there a way to look that up

The nun responds, “Well, let’s see what we can do about that:

1) You have to be single and 2) you must be Catholic.”

The cab driver is very excited and says, ” Yes, I’m single and Catholic!

“Ok,” the nun says, ”pull into the next alley.”

The nun fulfils the cab driver’s fantasy with a deep kiss that would make most blush. When they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.

“My dear child,” said the nun, why are you crying?”

“Forgive me but I have sinned. I lied and I must confess, I’m married …..and I’m Jewish!”

The nun says, “That’s ok. My name’s King Stud and I’m going to a Halloween party.”

BTW, it's kind of funny that he called out his blogers the other day and basicaly told them to stop the "drive-by" posts and get a handle, and stick to it. Too funny.

One more BTW, I heard a funny blone joke the other day, so just to liven things up, I thought i'd share it with you all.

A blonde woman was speeding down the road in her little red sports car and was pulled over by a woman police officer who was also a blonde.
The blonde cop asked to see the blonde's driver's license.
She dug through her purse and was getting progressively more agitated. "What does it look like?" she finally asked.
The policewoman replied, "It's square and it has your picture on it."

The driver finally found a square mirror in her purse, looked at it and
handed it to the policewoman. "Here it is," she said.

The blonde officer looked at the mirror, then handed it back saying,
"Okay, you can go. I didn't realize you were a cop."

There will be at least one upset tonight. Every since last year were SD beat NV, BP beat SD and then NV beat BP.. anything is possible.. EVERY GAME IS A NEW AND DIFFERENT GAME.

Fred your comments about possible or improbable game scenerios tonight would shake the valley more then a 7.0 tembler. Sure would be fun to read the blogs. Can you imagine Bonita 17, Wilson 21. Likewise Saints 20, Bp 27.

I'm done licking my wounds. Hope last weeks beating was a wake up call and we can stop thinking we should win every game. We should just play football.
