Husky Pride,
And you don't think that the players will dive straight down on that foot, come on, good luck to him and I hope he is okay at the end of the game. One game compared to a promising college career is not worth it.

OC Varsity,
I miss the match ups with the OC schools too, but I think the Southeast would match up well with the Southwest, in fact I give a slight edge to our Southeast as the tougher division of the two this year.
Eldorado & Trabucco are not as good as they where the last 2 years, You guy'
s do have a very good La Habra team in the Southwest, but Charter Oak would match up well with them this year.
After Charter Oak & La Habra is where I give the edge to the Southeast, I think the quarter final teams from the Southeast are a little better than the quarterfinal teams from the Southwest, the Calpreps ratings also give the Southeast teams the edge with a 27.4 ave. rating compared to a 25.73 rating for the OC division.
In my opinion, for pure competition sake, they should have kept the San Antonio & Miramonte teams
in the SouthWest, I think the SGV would have taken it this year, any opinions on this?
One other thing, I've read or heard somewhere that the SouthWest
is considered div.6 and the Southeast is considered Div.7, why is that when the Southeast seems to be tougher. Who arbitrarly made that distinction.

OC Varsity said:

This is all good for the SGV teams this year and they will get a champion somewhere in this mix. It is really watered down tho with no Orange County Teams to face like El Dorado or La Habra. These playoffs are boring as compared to last years and years past where the OC vs the SGV made for some great games. The realignment sucks!

Husky Pride said:

M.B you dont know wayne goss haha. he played 3 games last year in which his nose was broken during the game. im also told he played once with a broken rib

Us Diamond Rnach people look forward to an outstanding FOOTBALL game friday night. We are not cocky nor arrogant, fans, maybe!! We are a very humble and PRIDED team. We had a lot of, lets say mishaps this season. We wish all teams well, and lets represent the Inland Valley, and SGV well. BTW, one of the more outstanding posts all year came from Stnag Fan, Much respect for you and your school..

M.B. said:

South Hills seems to create bad karma for themselves...also, how can a person with a broken ankle or foot be back to play so soon without possibly getting even more seriously injured?

Chingon said:

Falcons, Congratulations on the victory.
Now prepare for the cross town rivals. Lets rock their world Friday night.

Huskies are 100% and ready to go up against anyone... S.H. 28- D.ranch 10... Our QB, WRs, RBs, Defense/Offense all good to go... Hopefully we will meet CO in the final...

Husky faithful said:

That ref that flagged Barrios was a straight punk. Most if not all of the flags thrown by that J/A was crap. Bogan lost his mind because of loose wrist of the flag throwing jerks. I would estimate approx 160 yards or more in penalties for crap. Even with the unfair calls, SH stood strong and banged them all nights. And with both Bowden and Goss back next week DR is going to have their hands full. Should be an outstanding game. DR come to play like you always do. Hopefully Barrios will be back.

JFR said:

Husky Pride, two yellows are two yellows, you can appeal till the cows come home. I've seen it happen to many times in the past, no instant replays in HS.

Husky Pride said:

Ok, so the story with the Barrios kid. As told by my son. Barrios was asking the ref why the receiver from Shurr didnt also get flagged and the ref told him to step away or he will be flagged, while walking Alex said, Wow this is BS.

After saying that is when he got the boot. South Hills is appealing the ejection so he may be elligable to play.

DRpride said:

Overlook us. We have been overlooked all season. Yes we lost to Bonita, but we also lost to Muir the first time around, where are they now? Is Bonita still in the playoffs?? No! We are! So we will worry about one team at a time. No one is overlooking SH, we have respect for them. By the way, everyone has injuries, its just a matter if you can overcome that fact, or sit & b**ch at them. Everyone talking mess on this blog probably has nothing to do with our program. But nonetheless good luck to everyone who is still in it! WE ARE-DR!

cohs said:

yup rules are rules. but i still think south hills will be alright and will beat d-ranch

LilBushLeague said:

COHS
So the Kid from SH has to sit out. WOW Starter on both side

cohs said:

yes it is true, if you are ejected during a game you have to sit out the next one. i remember when micheal johnson of charter oak got ejected at the la mirada game and had to sit out the glendora game we needed him big time that game that year. cif rules

THEMACISBACK said:

Huskie Fans Yes you did really deserve that #1 rating all year, MY name is Sarah Palin And I endorse this Blog

Lilbushleague said:

He Fred can you clarify the rule, If a kid gets kicked out of a game is he elibible for the next game or does he have to sit out?

reality czech,

I guarantee you these "fans" posting comments on the blog do not represent and are not even remotely close to being affiliated with Charter Oak's football program. They are probably impostors pretending to be C.O. supporters but really couldn't be anymore contrary I promise you that too. If you knew and understood Charter Oak's program no one would condone such behavior. End of story!

Charter Oak really is proud of what Diamond Ranch has done so far in the playoffs and representing our league, actually has been very complimentary about Bishop Amat and their season (matter of fact honestly did applaud the score at halftime and wanted to see our Valley’s Pac-5 school win), and respects that South Hills has been marred by injuries and this week will finally have their best football team on the field.

Good luck to everyone still left in the playoffs. May the best teams win. Stay healthy and have fun because a month from now regardless everyone's season is over.

What's up DR Ranch bloggers? Must have a short memory. Last year you ran your mouths so bad CO had to bend you over. Why not learn from that and shut-up. Looks like you're going to have your hands full next week, anyway. Don't look to far ahead.

To all DR fans overlooking SH next friday. SH was the #1 ranked team all season until they lost to WC. SH will be playing all their now healthy team players. They beat Schurr with a freshmen running back. Wait till they put in their senior, now healthy running-backs. Then our SGV #1 QB will go to work. SH 48 DR 14. To all CO Fans, remember your team played one of the weakest schedules this season, hope it does'nt come back to bite them in the ass.

In the first CIF playoff game the higher ranked team plays at home wearas in the second round If the next competing team has the away game then there is no coin flip they will have their next game schedaled at home.

Dranchhhhhh said:

Are you kidding me.....don't let me tell it...I was at the CO--DR game and last time i check DR held them 16-7 all the way until the last 3 mins. of the 4th quarter. BTW, with the exception of Rancho Cucamonga, We held them to their lowest scoring game all season. You all can play that role if you want too like you all are not worried, your only fooling yourselves. Until we had to go away from our spread, we drove on you guys 2 twice for long drives. O and community, please know the only reason we went away from it was because our 6-3 290 Center, went down. After we had to replace him, we fumbled the shotgun snap 3 times before having to go under Center. Keep on making it seem like DR is nobody...Last time I checked CO if we had a schedule like yours, Im absolutely sure we would be umm....9-1, hands down. You guys are like Muir to us....We plan to ball SH up, and see you guys in the finals....KNOW THAT!!! Cocky ass loosers....Play someone and then talk

Charter Oak Vs. Diamond Ranch would be a HORRIBLE GAME! did you see when they played each other this year and don't give me that they already played once this year they would beat them the second time crap. charter oak played la mirada twice in a season two times! Diamond ranch had trouble even gaining a yard. don't worry PARTNA we won't choke!
