The Forecast: Rain

| | Comments (31) |

With rain in the forecast through the end of the week, which teams are affected the most?

Ahh, Damon Kuklinsky, one of my favorite warriors from a year ago. Folks, this is how you're supposed to look after giving it everything you got.

South Hills: As much as they throw, and as slippery and muddy Covina District can get, add this to the list of things that don't help the Huskies.
Charter Oak: A Tsunami blowing into town won't stop the Chargers from routing Crescenta Valley.
Rosemead-San Dimas -- Won't matter, this will be won in the trenches anyway. Might as well mud-it up to add to the mystique.
Glendora-Upland -- Won't matter, both teams are similar in what they do.
Temple City-Azusa -- Favors Temple City. They're going to run, run and run again. The Aztecs have to win the turnover battle.
West Covina-Burbank -- Fits right into the Bulldogs game plans, but the winds do swirl in that part of town.
Rowland-La Serna The closest game to call in the quarterfinals will probably be decided by the fewest mistakes anyway.
Northview-Paraclete It can't help Northview playing on a sloppy field the day after South Hills tears it up. On the plus side, if Paraclete is as good as everyone says, a little neutralizing rain may not be a bad thing.

Come on..... Guys, #1 in I.E. is Rancho, They wont even win their division. Their tie against Charter Oak, come on.

Ever Heard of the 11-0 Centennial Huskies from Inland Empire City of Corona, whose closest game was 10 points and beat their oppenents on average by 29.4 points. Or Another I.E Team Fontanas A.B. Miller that is 11-0 and hasnt played anyone under division 3 and wins by a margin of 18 points a game.

Even Chapparal is a great 10-1 team and their only loss was by 10 to the BEST team, so you cant deduct them from the mix

Rancho #1 in I.E. thats some Wishful thinking by Gibbs but i guess maybe the best team within the 10 miles between Upland , Claremont and Rancho , oh is that just Baseline League. Sorry but i went to the Rancho vs Upland Game, they didnt show me anything great, they beat upland on a windy day and beat OSOS in overtime on a holding penalty . CO will go far and i wish them all the luck but their TIE over Rancho doesnt give them that MUCH cred.

BTW, that SD "D" that faced Northview was not the same "D" that the "mead" will have to face. That SD "D" was a Band-Aid "D". THIS SD "D" is well-oiled and primed for 48 minutes of football come Friday night.

Thanks for the compliment! You know it's pretty hard to stay cool on this board,i'm sure you know what I mean. Football blogs can be brutal, but that's just the nature of the beast.

If you scroll down to SATURDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK, and check out the picture, my son #47 is right behind #25. That kid #25 had the game of his life. Four interceptions, one for a returned touchdown which got us back in the game, two touchdowns on offense, and one quarterback sack.
#47, has 13.5 quarterback sacks the most in all the 7 divisions. They're having a great SENIOR year!

D-mo, i hate to say it but you make a good point about last year. it made no sense why they fell apart when it rained. it just goes to show why they call it friday night lights. ANYTHING can happen. But after beating Etiwanda, snuffing bonita, and its only tie to Rancho C.(#1 in I.E) Charter Oak really looks unstoppable. To not jinx them I will not predict them to win, only hope they do because they deserve it.

That's a good idea telling PANTHER PRIDE,ON KEEPING HIS MOUTH SHUT! You would be suprised that these blogs get to the FOOTBALL PLAYERS ON THE PRACTICE FIELD AND COACHES. Believe me i know. One day I seen it for my own eyes, and a group of players were reading and passing all the papers around, and were pissed off!

So PANTHER PRIDE don't add fuel too the (FIRE)! I would watch what i'm saying. You don't want to get the players HOT!

BE SMART, YOU DON'T WANT TO GIVE THE OPPOSITION NOTHING!

RoseMead I just Hope You have a hard hitting defense and something other than Tra Sumler because a Steam Roller is coming your way. This Team runs this offense with such precision. If you guys want to watch how perfect the Wing T is Run Go watch the Game on friday night!

Best of luck to Azusa on Friday, and congratulations on an impressive 1st round victory last Friday.

Much appreciate your comments - which always seem to start and end with class.

Go Mead,

Who's side are you on?? Don't lay down for SD. You for one should know how well we're playing right now. Nothing can stop the Mead from beating the Aints, and going on to win the championship.

You sound scared, and it's SD that needs to fear the Mead!!!

You really need to shut up! You’re becoming an embracement to our program. Ever heard of not to talking to awaken your opponent? Coach has told us, SD is very legit and we need to stay focused and play mistake free football.

Now, lets just enjoy this Friday and support the team in the right way.. PLEASE

hey sd mom time has come for you to eat all that crap you blogged and go in the corner to cry when the panthers flatten those AINTS

It is true Tra Sumler will probably run for 200 yards and 3 or 4 touchdowns vs San Dimas....But guess what? It wont be enough...its a sad thing how bad San Dimas' defense can be, but their backs are amazing, and if Barbone and Joseph have 175 a piece, Sumler wont mean anything.

Hey Panther Pride I hope You dont Choke on your words!Like I stated SanDimas is a good team with Lighting Speed in the back field. No one hasnt stopped that offense Yet!I really dont think RoseMead Can?If RoseMead Wins I have to give them Credit!

Fred, please stop with fluff talk towards CO. They play much better when being told about their cake schedule, being over-rated and their inexperience on defense. Also, remember what the rain and the refs did to them last year against Trabuco Hills.

news for the glendora game if it rains,

i think it favors the tartans.
there coming off a 495 yd performance! thhere oline and andre and chad are rolling. no mistakes and they should be fine.
Upland has a fast rb probbly but they throw alot more than run which glendora can do both

not cool man Kuklinski did his talking on the field i suggest you respect that kid. and hmmm DR SH very interesting match up. SH too much +14

SD is going down!!! said:

SD has seen better backs???? Don't go their dude. The only guy that compares is the kid from OC. I saw him a few weeks ago on Fox, and he was pretty good, but I'd still take Sumler. He's a great mix of speed, and power.

Panther Pride said:

I love hoe SD people always talk crap, then get beat where it matters, on the field!!!!

Tra Sumler- Gets 200 yds against that sorry excuse for a D.

I saw that D when I went to the Northview game. The NV back was very average. Tra is going to run wild!!

Truth hurts doesn't it SD?

oh and ya if he is which schoools are lookin at him said:

i would like to kno even tho the kid prob dont have grADES anyway

well see said:

please have fred do a article when he does go D1(which he wont)and ya i am prety sure u didnt look at the D and even if u did they were missing 3 line backers ahhhhh duh !!!!but beside the point the saints have faced better backs in recent years kinda funny how only hearin of this kid now

Panther Pride said:

Alright,

you must be an idiot! Even coach z said Sumler reminded him of Phillips. The guy is D1. Keep talking trash, and see what Tra does to the Aints. BTW, saw some film on the SD defense, all I can say is HAHAHAHAHA Sumler is coming to get you boys!!!

Alright said:

first of all damon kuklinksky sucks balls 2nd there sure is alot of talk about tra sumler or w.e his name is he wont go D1 actually got to watch game footage yesterday just another running back nothing speacial and he has nothing but avg stats the mead is in for a rude awakening

Panther Pride said:

Tra Sumler is a D1 caliber player. I've seen him a few times this year, and I don't care if it's Kyle Withem, Nico Barbone, or anyone else the Saints put out there. Tra is going to run their ass over. Simple fact!!

You had a good season SD, but it ends Friday.

Mead-42
SD- 28

No mention of Diamond Ranch? Must be nice having Fred in your corner. Well that will be more fuel for the fire. Apparently South Hills is only playing against the "Gods of Fate and Football", what with all their injuries and stuff it's a miracle anyone has a chance against them. Oh well Diamond Ranch will show up anyway.

Diamond Ranch has strenghts that may lead to a victory Friday night. Seen both teams play and yes it's going to be a war. DR's strenght is it's linebackers and DB's. Both go a long way into putting tremendous pressure on Deen. Deen is a QB who does two things well. Make throws and scamble. He still locks onto a receiver far too much for my tatse but he can make the throw that's necessary to negate the defender.

DR will have to punish Deen. Plaina nd simple. When he scrambles make him pay. When he drops back make him play. Carrillo will either have the game of his life of SH wins big.

As far as SH runnng the ball. Yes they will fool you once ina while but the yards will be tough to come by. Again Diamond Ranch it's about pain. Plain and Simple. Punishing the runner is not eough you will need turnovers to win this game. SH runners will put it on the ground if the ball is challenged.

When DR has teh ball it's going to be a different team them most are used to. The QB has grown into a leader. He does need to improve in his sideline leadership but on the field he's a gamer. The RB are coming on strong. SH will be ready but the backs I saw against Muir are bringing it. The DR Oline is finally creating a force to be reckoned with. Again it starts wit the Oline coach. Guy is a real keeper. He's done alot in one year.

Overall I see this game coming down to Deen and the Diamond Ranch DBs. Both are next level guys, somewhere, and both play are a higher level than any I've seen this year. Yes Amat's corners are tough but they don't hit like Diamond Ranch's boys do.

In a match up of coaches I go with Roddy Layton. You have to see what he's done up close to realize the impact this guy has on the community and his players. I saw them after several loses and Caoch Layton is a coach any baller would love to play for. Muir did not believ who showed up on Friday. DR hit with reckless abandon and Muir folded. Will SH fold as well? Maybe but whatever happens DR really has a lot to be proud of this year. Staying strong in th eface of all those defeats really says alot about their Head Coach.
