This kid is a pass rushing monster. With a good offseason - he will be the Creature of the Black Lagoon on the Mead DL come next September!
Steven Rivera got 2nd team all league. Not bad for a freshmen starting at quarterback on varsity his first time out. I know this for a fact though, Steven is already putting in work for next year as I speak. So note to all M.V.L. teams...watch out for him next season. Congratulations to all of the Arroyo players who made all M.V.L.

The MVL is doing it right - if anything they have too many too. We play with 11, we should honor 11 - that's what "first team" should mean, right?

It's not that the Sierra and Miramonte lagues have better leagues. It is that the MVL does it right. MVP/POY goes to one player maybe 2. Just like in the NFL and all the other sports. There is a lot of good players but thats the whole point of the award it goes to the best of the best.
Wow, only 25 first teamers and only three MVP/POY's.
The MVL must not be as good as the Sierra and Miramonte Leagues! :)
