Just Tribbin: Any New Years Resolutions?

Anything and anyone you want to talk about

Not knowing how functional I'll be around midnight, there will be no live blogging of the New Year's countdown. I know, I know, I ruined all your plans, right? :) Since I'm covering the Rose Bowl, I'll probably be in bed soon after anyway. BTW, did you know that next year there will be a Rose Bowl game on New Years, and the BCS title game at the Rose Bowl a few days later? In any case, all of you enjoy tonight's festivities and be safe, smart, and bring the New Year in right. 2009? It's goes so fast.

Comments

More on "where are they now"... watching Jonathan Cornell (Amat '06) starting at middle linebacker for Ole' Miss in the Cotton Bowl. Rebels are tied with Texas Tech at 14.

sorry-played BoHi in week 10, didn't play WC, and Etiwanda was 5-5-NOT a wining record.
Facts?

bearcat- I believe what I wrote was-"they didn't beat a team that finished the regular season with a winning record until their final game of the season and THAT school didn't beat anyone with a winning record either."
So-they played Bonita the final game of the season-and WC in the payoffs.
I stand by what I wrote

reality czech

just so you know CHARTER
OAK beat Bonita who had a 4sure winning record in week 8 and west covina had a winning record before week 10 etiwanda and more team get your facts right

Just an FYI, that very last post was not from me.

This is the second time some foolish person has posted using a comment with my moniker.

Get a life dude.

Jcaz... Time for one more, Dont Quit now !

I promise to never tell a joke again in 2009

Lame joke Jcaz. I don't even know if it was attempted humor you tried to pull off.

why, did someone beat rancho?

why, did someone beat rancho?

realchick, how did rancho finish.

Time for another yuk yuk,

Subject: Qantas

After every flight, pilots fill out a form called a gripe sheet, which
conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with the aircraft during the
flight that need repair or correction. The mechanics read and correct the
problem, and then respond in writing on the lower half of the form what
remedial action was taken, and the pilot reviews the gripe sheets before
the next flight.

Never let it be said that ground crews and engineers lack a sense of humor.
Here are some actual logged maintenance complaints and problems as
submitted by Qantas pilots and the solution recorded by maintenance
engineers. By the way, Qantas is the only major airline that has never had
an accident.

(P = The problem logged by the pilot.)
(S = The solution and action taken by the engineers.)

P: Left inside main tyre almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tyre.

P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.

P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit.

P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.

P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.

P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.

P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.

P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what they're there for.

P: IFF inoperative.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.

P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.

P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

P: Aircraft handles funny.
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.

P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.

P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding
on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget.

Aztec Pride, thanks, you have a great New Years too.

Bishop Amat palying Garey? wow!

What division is Amat soccer in?

Now 11-3-1

FRED;

I just wanted to tell you how i enjoy reading your articles, and then the best part is to post your opinion! Fred, the first thing I do when I go to work in the morning, is turn on the computer with my cup of coffee and click on SGV preps! Keep up the good work in 2009, and your so right about how time flies!

A couple of months from now i'll be attending a graduation ceremony, Lord willing.

Rosebowl should be a great game! GO USC!

Fred you have a great New Years!

AZTEC PRIDE!

Dr. Feel Good-how is that any different than what SLAKER said - except that the shoe was on the other foot. If that's what I have -he must be contagious!

reality czech,

Do you have diaoherra or gohnerria of the mouth?

and I also forgive the CHARGERS for running away from the Lancers schedule.
Touché

so I will also try in 2009 not to remind you too often that Charter Oak football played no one that finished the regular season with a winning record until their final game of the season and THAT school didn't beat anyone with a winning record either.

Happy New Year

Vow not to as salty this year. To be tolerant of those bloggers that insist Amat is a football dynasty, and those who think Chargers play cupcake schedule. I promise not to refer to 2008 Champs no more then twice aday. I will let Tartans and Lancers have time to make amends. The rest of you go to confessions.
Also to forgive Tartans for running away from Charger schedule.

Lots to be thankful for this past year & HOPEFULLY MORE next year.

FIGHT ON SGV

You know, this Covina massacre thing has me all shook up. People be safe out there and enjoy today, enjoy life, keep family and friends close.
