Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
Hi! There are some interesting points in time in this article but I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There is some validity but I will take hold opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as well
you know what chris allen might have gotten "mollywhopped" haha or whatever your saying over their. but guess what chris allen is going to play in another cif championship game. something you've probally never done in your life or your children. and well chris allen is out throwing touchdown passes in the championship game #16 for rowland is going to be at the snackbar wondering what condiments to put on his hot dog. so shut your mouth. co baby co!! you can't deny us we will always be good!!!!
im chris allens agent
he has an autograph signing at the montclair mall at 130
since you thought it was such a big deal to lay a hit on him why dont you come down
hell sign the program of the last game your ever goin to play in
Dang! -we won ALL of our games! Why aren't WE in the BCS championship game. I mean, after all, we beat teams like Bowling Green, Lousiana Tech, and Weber State and had a ""great win against a fired up confident San Diego State team"!!!!
Hey Cdub you sniveling fool. Cris Allen a former MLB absorbed that hit and continued to pick you guys apart. Cris will be all everything when season is over win or lose against DR. Most DBZ dont like to go one on one with Cris, E. Williams, T Perri, Clapper, Smith and CO
Come see them at CHAMPIONSHIP RUMBLE. hitters.
hey breaking news.....
are you chris allen?
you seem pretty upset about getting mollywhopped
id be kinda pissed too.
its all good man it happens to the best of em.
last time i checked thats what linebackers are supposed to do...do u want a medal number 16?
you hit a defenseless qb that was trying to make a tough throw
ya number 16 your def player of the year in this valley
1 7 7 rushing yards homie have a nice vaycay
hey look. i know he still threw a td
but did any1 see chris allen get smacked on the sideline by number 16 and crawl off the field?
watch the game tape
J.A.R.H.S. you got the class the coach should show....as for JFR...he has a small penis so don't pay attention to him.
Hey JFR haven't seen you at the bathhouse lately, where you been?
JFR and disappointed:
I have not seen a replay on the roughing the kicker play. If saw a replay I could feel differently. I saw what I saw at the game from the stands. I have not once put down CO in anyway whatsoever, in fact have just praised them and how well coached I thought they are. I have not mentioned the "alleged spying", as I don't believe it happened. My son didn't even know what the heck I was talking about when I asked him about it.
You mock me and say hopfeully I will be alive in 40 years when Rowland makes the semis again. Where is your class in that remark? I, in fact, do know a great deal about the game and have respect for the players and teams that play it. I state my opinion and stand behind it, even if some don't agree with me.
Tman:
I agree that some things should not be said. Coach Snyder should not have said what he said-he went over the line for sure. About the comment "softening up CO", I thought it was more of a self-gratuitous remark, kind of patting himself and team on the back for playing a good game. I didn't think about the perception of other teams and coaches...Looking at it a second time, it is kind of a slam on all the other teams that CO has played.
I can completely understand why any CO fan would be mad as heck at Snyder for what he said. If I was a CO alum and fan, I would be pissed too. All I want to say is---Don't take anything away from this years players...They had a great year, one they can remember for a long time. I am proud of the 2008 Rowland team.
I just got to watch the video highlights of the game....WOW Coach Schnyder is a class act. What a way to cheapen a great game played by a very good football team. That was probably the best game I've watched all year. That quaterback is a damn good player as is Stensell. Rowlands band is damn good too. I really enjoyed the music they played and the way the band members moved to the music too.
It' going to be one hell of a game next week
Charter Oak 28
Diamond Ranch 17
Hey Coach Schnyder, amazing research on your end. You're quoted saying Charter Oak plays very weak in the 4th quarter. I believe we have had only three games counting yours that we actually left the first stringers in the whole game. They are usually all pulled out by the third because of our coach with class. Many of the coaches in this league have class. Show that you have some class and apologize to coach Lou F. MAN UP!!
thanks coaquaticsman It's about time my son got some recognition(#15RHS)I'm doing my best on trying not to say anything,I just don't see how week in and week out #15 isn't mentioned while having the remarkable year he is having.???????
J A R H S alum, If you watched the end zone video and thought that was a cheap shot than you know nothing about football.
Raider blood, CO has rented a helicopter today so we can hit twice as many communities in one day to recruit. Is there an open field around your pad that would allow room for our heli to land? Why do you think so many kids have transferred to LA, SH, and CO over the years.HMMMMMMMMMM.....TO WIN! Go like your wounds and shut your PIEHOLE.
Coach Snyder, it's no wonder your fellow league coaches had no problem giving us all the info CO needed about you. Your Comments were laughable as are you.
j.a.r.h.s i was feeling like you were a good fan and was feeling some of your takes on football but after your last post you lost me
if you think that was a cheap shot then you dont know much about anything
so weeeeeak
just say good game and pray your alive 40 years from now when rowland goes back to the semi's
i just feel for those rowland kids there leader, mentor, coach, is showin them the darkness instead of the light
when u can run the ball right down a teams throat! u dont need to film there practice truuuuuust me
muema went for 176
keep makin excuses and in 2029 when u have a team again maybe this blog will be around
The Rowland coach should be in the NCAA, No Class At All.
I hope he has the cojones to publicly apologize for his comments regarding the roughing the kicker call, the CO players, and the CO coaches. The evidence shows he is way wrong.
Yup, the kicker was bumped by a CO player attempting to avoid him. Throw the flag. The kicker did such a soccer flop that he should get an Emmy. (That acting isn't good enough for the movies.)
No way, no time should the Rowland coaches be on the field yelling at CO players. That is so cheap.
As to softening up the Chargers, please. Diamond Ranch, Rancho Cucamonga, and Etiwanda can hit and play a whole game. The Chargers have faced quality opponents.
Rowland played a good half. Then they got stuffed.
You want to see hitting? Wait 'til Diamond Ranch and CO tee it up again.
I can on my soul tell you and that there is no way in hell that any CO person every went to Rowland and watch, tape or even attend a practice, that is something that happens to us quite often every year the week we play a certain team.
Fred...your right I apologize...it was news and thats all you report...my bad.
J.A.R.H.S. well said and I will give you the disappointment part but it wasn't a cheap shot. Also, there is a faternity of coaches and some things are left unspoken. Not only did he cross the line with us - he cheapened the opposing coaches of next week with the we softened up for the next team crap.
Just coming back from the DR/WC game I'm thinking next weeks results may prove to be very positive to Rowland.
class prevailed....is that so. were the ones who dont show sportsman ship. then tell me why charter oak sent someone to watch our practices and sped off so quickly when one of our couches confronted him....
there are no excuses, and you of all people should know to block a kick doesnt require hitting the kicker.
dont talk trash because we dont recruit and give every player a fair chance, and we dont exploit other kids just to have a good season.
we will be back, you watch.
Just watched the video footage and post game interviews. In Coach Snyder's defense, I also thought the roughing the kicker was a cheap shot. His comment about it being coached was out of line. CO fans may say there was no intent on hurting the kicker, and I may agree with them. However, just saying that the kids were trying to make a play is a weak argument. Everyone knows when you attempt to block a kick you are diving a couple of yards in front...not at the point of impact. Being reckless is no excuse. Unsportsmanlike??? CO was the team penalized for the late hits.
Coach Snyder was upset after a tough loss. Losing this semifinal game was difficult and he is a highly expressive man/coach. I trusted the man with my son the past few years and am happy the way he progressed.
I am not whining about the outcome of the game, and in fact came away impressed with the CO team. If CO wins next week, I think Chris Allen should be POY. I agree with Coach Farrar, he is the best QB in the SG Valley.
ATTENTION PLEASE!

"21 Nov 2008 ... After spotting Amat a 10-0 halftime lead, Poly roared back for a 21-17 win that was as exciting as it was nerve-wracking for the 7000 or so fans in attendance..." -Article from Long Beach Press Telegram.
7000+ fans in attendance!
Josiah Thropay, Bishop Amat would welcome you back with open arms...
You're blaming me for that too. I didn't post his remarks, it was a video interview after the game. What am I supposed to do, edit the coaches comments? C'mon now.
I just watched the highlight video Fred and I can't beleive that you would post those comments from the Rowland coach. Same ol' unsportsmanlike crap showing the world that there is no class left in the world.....other than in Charter Oak. Watch the game film and look at the "Blatant Cheap Shot". Funny how number 24 has a long term relationship because he went to middle school here, everyone reconnects and its recruiting. If our coaches, the longest standing, classiest group of outstanding people "coached" someone to hit a kicker, the classiest principle in the Valley would have his head...no matter who he is! I was on the sidelines last night at one of the most exciting games I have seen in a long time, those kids from Rowland played their hearts out! Take those kids and put them with our coaches and they are championship material. That coaching staff is an embarassment and should be looked at by their superiors. While walking through the final line shaking hands, I saw the big, bald coach push Big Lou's hand away....real sportsmanship! The coaches got what they deserve...the kids didn't! Freddy, Freddy, Freddy this blog has enough mean spirited, abusive behavior, and you post a coaches remark like that! Shame on you!
No appointment & or time was set , I'll catch up with you sooner or later. If you go to the Championship game , you can tailgate with us PANTHERS.
You seem like a cool cat ...
Sorry Fred another UCLA loss
FIGHT ON

Trojan Man...
What about showin up for breakfast this morning? It was hard to swallow...but how do you push away Leroy's tater tots?!?
The Chargers are on their way once again my son currently plays for Charter Oak,Im a Former RoseMead Panther kudos to them. The Panthers Model"Winners never Quit Quiters Never Win"
I came to the game because I am a homegrown football player. I've always wanted to play for RHS but after hearing the coach in his interview I think I would rather play for CO.
once again the chargers are back in the championship. what else is new? and too coach snyder and everyone that says we recruit don't be mad because athletes want to come to our school and play for a good program, but besides that Chris Allen, Tyler Perri, Evan Williams, Kylie Rycraw, etc etc, are all Charter Oak Hometown Boys. So anyone can write what they want in frustration about charter oak but don't forget your sitting on your ass typing on the computer while we are out playing for a Cif Champhionship. (Again)
I have sit back and read these blogs week after week, I feel like it's now time to respond. Now it's personal! You talked about Rosemead's OL being fat and slow. Anyway, they sure did handle thier business, which has nothing to do with fat and slow. Get ready to feel the paw cause the Panthers are gonna put it down next Saturday!!(That's how we do it!!) Go Rosemead!!
the reason rowland couldnt finish last night and gut out that victory is because there coach is a cry baby who makes excuses
coaches like you are the reason kids are transfering to CO buddddy so keep doin what ur doin
and all you rowland bloogers that talked trash all week im sure we wont see u on this blog anytime soon your a reflection of your coach
ive said it before the bloggers on here love to see failure they feed off of it but sorry CO just aint givin into you people this year
its gonne be a great game next week WC and DR are both very good teams

Tustin-CO would be a helluva game
We're going to the 'ship!! Congratulations coach Koffler and staff, and great job boys! Fear the Mead!!
I am so proud of the Rowland Raiders for the game they played last night and the season they gave us this year. This team being led by 15 year old quarterback Michael Ball never gave up and brought a city together like it hasn't been in decades. So many of us who either went to Rowland High school or were former faculty or friends of the school; rallied around the team over the past few weeks and the energy and love in and around Rowland High School and the city of Rowland Heights has been amazing. Thank you to all of the players for giving the city a reason to come together and thank you to principal Robbie Robinson for his wonderful leadership at Rowland High School. We're all so very proud of you boys!!!!!
To all who are criticizing the officiating at CO-Rowland: it was actually pretty darn good. Maybe 1 or 2 missed calls, but in all it was a "let 'em play" kinda crew. The crew was from the SGV unit, and they were quite seasoned, so they don't like to throw too many flags. Better than an Orange County unit.
As for whoever made the comment against the "beep-beep gang," most of those guys played high school football, and even some college ball. God forbid people yell, cheer, and have a good time at a sporting event. Truth be told, I think the beep-beep thing is a little obnoxious, but last I checked this was football. Those guys are HUGE fans. They lead the crowd in many of the chants and cheers. Let 'em be.
So BigMLover
What about PAYING UP ?
TM
what a class act that snyder is huh? what a joke, way to represent your school and your football team, that's the impression of rowland that i'am going to have sore losers!
Well, I think the veteran coaches were out coached, and out classed. You have been there since I was there and I think it's time to move on.
ATTENTION PLEASE!

La Habra stop talking like a kid. Maybe you are a kid! I still remember when put a beating on you guys........
Yeah, you're right CO Fan. Let's go to the library next Friday and do the blog thing. I can't take that cheering anymore. Why can't people just be quiet and watch the game.
I agree with coach Snyder. Those Chargers are just too mean for high school football.
Wah, wah, I don't like the Beep-Beep crew. Wah, Wah. Why can't we just sit and be quiet while we watch the cheerleaders.
Rowland's coach is a joke..just like the offciating! Rolwand was talking are this trash and now what? Rowland was playing checkers and we out there playing chess!
Curious?,
i was speaking of several calls made by the officiating crew. some of those calls were questionable.
Congrats to the Panthers who put the smash down on the wildcats. I guess we know who had the better defense. Dont you agree Brasco? It was hell of a game!
To coach Craig of Rowland; SHAME ON YOU. I just saw your interview. How dare you bring shame to such an outstanding performance by your talented young boys. This was the best game i have seen all year and for you to take away from that by accusing a C.O. player being taught to take cheap shots on other opponents. Maybe your players and fans can teach you a little something called CLASS.
I stand up and applaud the Rowland players and there performance and class on the field. As for Coach Craig, I think you owe EVERYONE IN THE VALLEY an apology. I spoke to a few Rowland parents this morning and they could not believe there ears when they saw the video. That was so disrespectful towards Coach Farar that had nothing but good things to say about you.
As for the Rowland team next year, I can't imagine nothing less than a champion team next year. Good luck boys. You guys played like champions.
damn La habra whats with all the hate...haha. geez relax.

Congrats to Rosemead and Monrovia...
Sumler and Co. came in as advertised and beat us fair and square.
Cats...your school and your city are proud of you and your RHL championship. In the years to come, you seniors will be proud of your success this year...even though its hard to see it now.
And, Trojan Man...
I had a good breakfast this morning...would've liked to talk a little trash. Maybe next year.
Congratulations to the Charter Oak football team on another exciting victory against Rowland HS. What a way to wind down the season with a trip to the Championship game. I have no doubts if you continue to practice hard and play hard....as a TEAM the "ring" is yours!! Adam & AJ....you boys continue to amaze your fans week after week. Keep up the great job.....your fans LOVE you!!
To the CO fan who posted in regards to the "beep beep" gang....I second that opinion. Enough is enough....it is not cute anymore and really shows NO class! That is not representitive of Charter Oak or its fans! There are much better ways to cheer on our boys....and you can do this at the FINALS!!
Good luck to the coaching staff as well, as I am sure you will have these boys completely prepped and ready to handle which ever team we meet up with. Thanks to the trainers also, for keeping our players safe and quickly rehabed when needed. You girls are awesome.
GO CHARGERS!!!!!
WHAT THE...???
Bone Collector,
Let the man finish off this season ,and then maybe we can talk about his college AFTER next Friday .Until then to all the Mid Valley ....
If you don't know , now ya know . RHS IS LEGIT !

To the Rowland Raiders you played a great game tonight your parents and fans should be proud of your performance.
The one thing that did not go so well was Coach Snyders interview on film after the game. In a few seconds he managed to throw accusation out to mask his failure. Accusations of only using neighborhood kids, cheap shot and thats how their coached, to burglary, and the white truck on the grassy knoll. When you strip all the BS you threw out away the bottom line is you got out coached PERIOD.
The kids from CO and Rowland lined up and played their best tonight and you have some great players to build on. My only point is as a head coach you must be able to finish with class to set the example for the team..
If you need training clips to help guide you watch interviews with Coach Farrar, Hagerty, Mike M (West Co.) and even Layton (who has made great improvement dealing with the press) to see how to smooth out your rough edges and be viewed as a professional in your field.
i have a big mouth
and the academy for best flop goes to...
CO was finished we did not
CO is advancing we are not
CO played 4 qtrs we played 2
CO is great i shouldnt of ran my mouth
=)
i love the rowland coachhhh!!
hey we played tough but charter oak pretty much bent me over in the 2nd half i dont know what else to say there hung like a horse and my stomach hurts
hey rowland you have a cute coach
The Beep beep gang is a bunch of IDIOTS! Wash ups that could never play at the HS level. This is coming from someone that played at CO. You guys are obnoxious!!! Just go out and enjoy the game. No need to be a bunch of retards! Im for CO, but you guys make us look classless.
C/O
You made us proud tonight, as usual. Can't think of anything else I would rather do on a Friday night, ben supporting you for 9 years now, and looking forward to many more!
Just one of the proud bbep beep gang! See ya at the big game! You make your community proud!
Beep Beep Dan
Rowland caused 4 turnovers against a top opponent...Normally a recipe for success. Especially when you yourself only turn the ball over two times-the fumble at the inch line to give it back hurts big time-you would expect to win. Didn't happen tonight for Rowland...
Charter Oak defensive backfield performed amazingly. Extremely athletic and showed amazing recovery skills/speed. Exhibited great football instinct, it is clear they are very-well coached. The plays they made throughout the game was the difference in the game. We had about 4 or 5 plays where CO DB's made great plays to make a tackle that in the past 12 games, we would have broke the long TD.
Got beat tonight by the best team in the Valley. Still, I am super proud of the Rowland Raider squad. They played hard and showed heart-They represented themselves well!
CO???
Don't think they need a lot of luck.
woot yeah!! rosemead in the finals, congrats to koffler and the panthers!!!!
Bottom Line ...
ANOTHER RHS VICTORY !
Wait A Minute...
I do quite remember the New England Patriots in a similar situation last year, and look what happened to them, yes and in the "championship" game too. Let's (objectively somewhat) look at Deon and Tra Sumler's combined contribution to the "drought".......
Deon Sumler
2004 /
November 19, 2004 (1st Round)
255 (or so) total yards - Rosemead loses to Walnut 25-10.
2005 / [ a "perfect" season of 10-0 ]
November 18, 2005 (1st Round)
106 (or so) total yards - Rosemead loses to La Serna (@HOME) 21-6
[only 1 TD scored, point after missed!]
Tra Sumler
2006 /
November 17, 2006 (1st Round)
105 (or so) total yards - Rosemead loses to Saddleback 49-13
2007 /
November 16, 2007 (1st Round)
125 (or so) total yards - Rosemead loses to Schurr 27-6 (only 2 field goals!)
2008 / [Speaks for itself]
unless Tra's performance is way better than tonight's performance, history will come up from behind and take the Panthers down. Their hopes of ending the "drought" will be set upon another year, Tra's senior year. AND! Unless Tra is scouted by BCS caliber teams, I see him following Deon's footsteps (to a "T") by first going to the best college in the world -
[ College Of The Canyons ] where Deon Sumler "shined" in the 2006 calendar year.
http://www.canyons.edu/offices/athletics/football/06Season/2006roster.html
Then once he realizes that COTC has enough "talent" on the field, he will go to
[ Northern Arizona University ] where Deon Sumler is studying "sports medicine" since his "football career" is as they say, "down in the dumps".
(sorry Trojan Man, gonna "steal" one from ya!)
Bottom Line ...
Tra MUST DEFY HISTORY and make his own destiny!
What questionable calls?
I thought it was a well played game on both sides.
Charter Oak did what they should have tonight, they beat Rowland. This should not be a shock since Charter Oak recruits athletes that do not live in their district. Los Altos, Long Beach Poly and South Hills have done this for years.
I think that all schools should be able to start recruiting athletes outside their school to districts to level the playing field.
I saw Layton in the stands tonight with faical hair. He is soooooooo HOT!
Great job by Allen And Muema, Peri chipped in a TD. The real tail of game was the 2nd half adjustment. Defense led by Williams 3 or 4 sax Fumble recovery and safety sealed Raiders fate. Note also Williams fullback in 2nd half. Rowland a good team was worn down by coaching and sterling defense. On to the big game.
Scott F.
I think West Covina used to run that double wing last year and they did it very well. Dont hold me to that. Im not positive.
I think that C.O. and Tustin would be a great game.
Hey Scott, im curious what tustins losses were to and what were the scores if you dont mind.
Boobar, chill out kid Rowland came to play and gave us fits in the first half. #24 is a stud and #3 was shifty and tough for being a soph, he never gave up. The only problem I had the whole game was Snyder yelling at our sidelines because we were flagged for roughing the kicker and hurt him. Yeah, we wanted to give you a 1st inside our twenty instead of a FG. P.S. DUDE, buy some dockers and toss the shorts.
The game of the week tomorrow is Los O vs Upland. Want to see a real battle, come to Upland HS tomorrow..
Hey, Freddie:
I went to Tustin-Anaheim Canyon tonight. 63-28 Tustin. They run a double-wing that is all but unstoppable. ... Actually, it is unstoppable -- they scored touchdowns on all nine drives. Big team, very good backs. They were missing key players in every loss but El Dorado. Lost to Orange Lutheran, 10-0, without their best back.
They've scored 188 points in three playoff games. Only Poly and probably Amat were better than Tustin among the teams I saw this year. Charter Oak and Rosemead could give them a game, maybe South Hills, but I think I'd take Tustin against all three.
lets go panthers!!!! Good job koffler!!!! fight on
what a game tonight. charter oak and rowland should be proud of the product each put on the field tonight. did anyone else wonder why rowland went onside with a little over 3 minutes to go? i believe rowland had all its timeouts. just wondering. allen and muema are really good players. i hadn't seen rowland, but #13 and #24 are very exciting as well. there appeared to be a couple questionable calls, but a great game nonetheless. congratulations to charter oak.
Great job Charter Oak that a baby Chris Allen and Adam Muema we all told u Rowland fans that we were going to strike u with lightning and we struck u big its off to the FINALS good game though Rowland but better off next year and whats up with the refs did someone from Rowland pay them extra on those calls against Charter Oak oh well bring on West Covina or Diamond Ranch in the FINALS Charter Oak Chargers # 1 and # 1 in SGV Charter Oak going to be CIF Champions Go fight win Chargers are the best
Great game tonight Charter Oak that a baby Chris Allen and Adam Muema all u Rowland fans we told u to watch out for the lightning because we struck u oh well better luck next year Rowland and whats up with those refs did someone from Rowland pay them extra to make those calls made against Charter Oak well it didnt work Charter Oak going back to the finals bring on
Dont care what the score was, Rowland put up a great game. Hat's off to you guys for a great and exciting game. This team reminded me of T. Hills angainst C.O. last year. They were small and fast just like Rowland.
Chris Allen, you should be proud and I hope it is a year you will never forget.
Adam, you struggled a bit in the first half, but showed everyone why you are the #1 running back out there in the second half.
C.O. defense,---Offenses win games, defenses win championships. Way to go boys.
Refs still made some really horrible calls for being a c.i.f. game, but it still played itself out.
Again, congradulations to Rowland for an outstanding performance.

Trojan Man was that you with the blonde little baby girl on the sidelines?
Tra is nothing special. The one factor in Rosemead's favor is teh Oline. They are huge but slow as icebergs. Tlak about a primadonna...Tra is a one trick pony. Up the Gut and running wide AFTER the interior gap closes, or boucing outside, and he's decent at best. Again he ain't Mc Bride and gaise from Amat is his daddy. Gaise runs inside and outside with speed and more speed and then lowers what he's got at full speed. Tra got tackled by one guy, if his awesome straight arm doesn't work. Again he was tackled alot on outside runs by one man. Again with Rosemead's line I gain 50 yards.
Monrovia had neither the coaches or the system in place to stop Rosemead...and that's not saying much about either.
As far as Cid...sorry guys he ain't no Ray Rodriguez or anywhare close. That's an insult to even compare the two. had to ask several people to see who he was. Ray Rodriguez stood out.
Yes rosemead should have blown them out but the wr dropped or was over thrown twice for TDs. But how San Dimas lost to these guys is puzzling. But then anything can happen in the playoffs but I'll put it on Coach Z Karma for sticking it to Kyle Withem.
Trojan Man I'm sorry but Diamond Ranch destroys Tra. Your QB doesn't survive the 3rd quarter and the O Line finds out what it's like to play tough quick strong and tougher people.
Rosemead can be beat thru the air and any screens to RB, Flankers ot TE. The D Line is slllllooooooooowwwwwww. Corners are smmmmmaaaallll and teh safety is ...wait did he make a tackle in the first half.
Sorry I left at half time cuz I could stand hearing the knucklehead cheerleader in the stands. BROTHER SHUT THE HELL UP!!!! Peole want to enjoy the game.
impartial observer.
Bishop amat beats Rosemead by the same score that the girls basketball team did that other school wrong...waht was it 83-0?
Off to De La Hoya! Second Row...I'll wave hi!
Congratulations Rosemead - See you at the finals!
GOOD job rowland
you kept the game interesting and represented the San Antonio League Proudly (other than westco and south hills that is)
Congrats to charter Oak
good luck next week

Update from Monrovia HS.
Rosemead, 16, Monrovia 6 F
The Wildcats were unable to stop the Panthers after giving the ball back with a little over 5 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Panthers quarterback Angel Alejandre picked up the game-clinching first down on a fourth and 2 with 1:30 left in the fourth quarter.
Congratulations to the Panthers, who are heading to the Mid-Valley Championship. Congratulations to Monrovia Wildcats, who are indeed back.
Where's the guy with the "Charter Choke" comment? I don't hear you talking now...
Update from Monrovia HS.
Rosemead 16, Monrovia 6 with 3:09 in the fourth.
Rosemead's #15, Gilbert De La Rosa, is having an amazing drive.
The Panthers senior linebacker registered three tackles for losses on Monrovia's best drive of the fourth quarter.
His last tackle came on a botched snap from the Rosemead 40 yard, in which De La Rosa strip tackled Monrovia quarterback Nick Bueno, resulting in a 20-yard sack. The Wildcats had the ball on the Rosemead 40 on a third and 15.
Rosemead has the ball at midfield and is on clock kill.
4th down completion by Bueno
cats on mead 35
4th quarter for the cats
now or never, they still got a shot, but that fumble hurt something fierce
It's all but over here, Rowland took a safety, has to kick it back down 33-17 with 1:45 left...look like Charter Oak can run out the clock. that's it, game over, 33-17..
Update from Monrovia HS.
Rosemead 16, Monrovia 6 @ the end of 3.
Monrovia just had a costly fumble on a third and inches inside the Rosemead 20 on one of its best drives of the game.
The Pathers' Armando Avila came up with the recovery.
The Panthers have the ball within their own 20 to begin the fourth.
williams fumble., mead recover, heading downfield
It's looking like Charter Oak is going to finish it off, Raiders are pinned back on their own 2, injured player, 1:46 left.
The Chargers moved the ball down the field and Muema struck again, scorinng the exclamation on a 32-yard run with 2:12 left, extending the Chargers' lead to 31-17

The Panthers answered back to Monrovia's challenge immediately with a Tra Sumler 12-yard touchdown carry.
Rosemead marched down field and converted on a successful fourth and 2 to keep its drive alive.
Can the Cats respond?
west covina will see you next week charter oak

damn - fake punt, Mead then scored
Rowland's Brandon Stansell came back and scored on a 12-yard toudchdown, making it 24-17 with 3:13 left.
missed PAT could haunt the Cats!
Update from Monrovia HS.
Rosemead 9, Monrovia 6 @ 9:22 in third.
Thanks to a Kendal Boggs 41-yard that put the Wildcats at the Rosemead 9, Monrovia scored on a third and goal.
Monrovia's Marquise Williams scored the touchdown, stiff-arming Rosemead's Gilbert De La Rosa at the 7 and scoring over the left pylon on a 4-yard end around.
The Wildcats initially converted a successful 2-point conversion on a pass from Chris Carino to Grant Haggard.
However, the conversion was called back due to an illegal man downfield penalty. Monrovia's Sergio Diaz then missed an extra point.
Sounds like big old charter choak is having difficulties so far close game no blow out wow..
about 7 years ago out on hwy 40
m-town on the 7 yd line
Goldenarm i dont remember that one. What year was it ?
look out here comes the wildcats...moving the ball well...1st down
Chris Allen hit tight end Tyler Perri on a short pass, and Perri finished it for a 14-yard touchdown, 24-10 Charter Oak with 7:16 left...
hopefully it was not a foreshock, that area is near Hector...the place the ground actually split open like a sci-fi movie
Timeout called by Charter Oak, we've got a third and eight on the 14..
Yeah, we felt the press box rattle, I thought it was the crowd...ooh wee, hate to be stuck up here when the big one hits...
Man is Chris Allen tough, it looks like he was stuck in the backfield, turned right and stormed up the right side for a first down to the Raiders' 28..
quake was centered in Ludlow, I got a call from my ex in Laughlin, it was rockin at the Riverside casino
The Chargers are moving the chains, crossing the 50 and now have a first down at the Raiders' 44 with 10:14 left.
QB Ball looks to Chris Flores in the endzone, but Chargers' Denus Rufus steps in and picks it off, giving the Chargers a first down at their own 20. That's to straight in the redzone for Rowland and nothing to show for it.
Update from Monrovia HS.
It was 0-0 after the first quarter. That was until Rosemead's Tra Sumler carried the ball 66 yards for a touchdown on the first play of the second quarter.
Rosemead 7, Monrovia 0. 11:51 in 2nd
Sumler: 133 yards on 12 carries.
5.5 earthquake outside of Barstow,Felt down to Long Beach.
The Raiders are moving, they've got a fist down at the 15.
----
QB Ball rolls right, throws it away under pressure, second down and 10 from the 15, 12 seconds left in the third quarter.
-----
Ball sacked by Evan Williams back at the 23, third quarter runs out.
Back to Charter Oak, they fumble the ball back to Rowland at their own 32 yardline. Here we go again.

Update from Monrovia HS.
Rosemead 9, Monrovia 0 @ the half.
It's been all Rosemead to this point.
Sumler has the lone score of the half, taking the first carry of the second quarter 66 yards for a score.
The Panthers also tallied two points on a blocked punt that lead to a safety. That was the lone special team's highlight for Rosemead, which could be up by more if not for two missed field goals (51, 41 yards).
The Wildcats' best offensive drive came in the final seconds of the first half when they drove 70 yards on two plays before the half ended with quarterback Nick Bueno being tackled at the Rosemead 24.
It was the first time Monrovia had crossed midfield.
Tra Sumler has 175 yards on 22 carries.
Stansell down to the 5, second and goal....
Ball fakes a pitch to Stansell, runs right, he's hit and the one and fumbles into the endzone, Charter Oak's Jared Dunbar recovers, Chargers 1st and goal at their own 20...Now, will those three points come back to haunt them?
Three straight runs, the Raiders still at the 14, and will go for the field goal, Calistro lines it up, a 31-yard field goal, it's good... but he's roughed up, penalty. What do the Raiders do, keep the points or take the first? They're taking the first down, a the Chargers' 8.
At Rosemead...
:29 left Mead punting from Rovia 49...couldn't advance ball w/receivers going vertical...returner clobbered...1-10 for Rovia on their own 18...williams just busted on to Mead 46...1-10 with 2 clickd timeout Rovia
correction, that was Golden who fumbled, not Muema.
M Williams busted big gain at Mead 40 a coupl clicks left =timeout Rovia
Muema was running down the left for a touchdown and fumbled, Chris Johnson recovered it for the Raiders, and returned it 56 yards to the Chargers' 30 yardline. Unbelievable turn of events. Instead of going down two touchdowns, the Raiders, after a penalty, are all the way down to the 15 with 6:20 left.
Rowland goes four-and-out, this is nervous time for Raider nation, they have to punt and Charter Oak is going to get good field position, especially after A.J. Powell took it at his o own 45, and returned it all the way to the Raiders 28, first and ten with 6:38 left in the half.
9-0 ain't bad against the Mead
M-town has a legit shot in the 2nd half
Maddox prediction : team with less mistakes will win
Earthquake just hit !!!
This time it was Muema, going 28 yards for a touchdown, throwing a nifty move and the goal line to get home for a 17-10 lead with 8:34 left in the third quarter. Muema has 74 yards on 13 carries.
Mead too many mistakes...but still up 9-0 only though ....m-town has a shot in the 2nd half

Update from Monrovia HS.
Monrovia gave up a safety on a punt attempt with 1:26 remaining in the first half deep in their own territory.
Penalties are killing Rosemead. The Panthers had a 7-yard Sumler TD plunge called back because of a holding call with 4:44 in the second quarter.
They then had a Bobby Maldonado 31-yard field goal called back because of an illegal formation. The next attempt sailed wide right.
Monrovia has yet to put together a solid drive.
Rosemead 9, Monrovia 0 with 1:26 left in the first half.

Thanks golden arm, keep it coming, I love when we all chip in like this..
Chargers going back to Muema, after an eight yard runs he goes 14 yards to the Raiders' 43 yard line, sorry , that was Brandon Golden
Second half begins here at Rowland, Charters starting with the ball at their own 33.
Nope...holding, missed field goal, Mead comes away empty
sounds like the Mead is ready to score again
Fred is sitting in the press box, and yes, the COak side is finally starting to fill up, traffic was tough getting down here
don't know if fred knows who's side is whosm but the C/O side is almost full and and there are a thousand+ seats open on Rowlands side
Interesting first half. I think that Rowland has turned in a stellar job defensively and have forced CO to do somethings out of the ordinary.
Keys to the second half is going be the adjustments that the CO staff makes to get Muema so open windows.
Enjoy the second half!
7-0 Mead
Sumler 55 yds at start of 2nd qtr

Hey Scotty, now if I could get the Pas guys to update the other game, we'll be in business, btw, that's Scott Galetti everyone, the New Mexico play-by-play man and former Star-News prep editor
Fred, you're a genious. Keep up the great work.
Allen goes deep, Stansell picks it off near the goal line, and returns it to their own 23 with 21 seconds left. Allen had a receiver wide open, but floated it short. The Raiders take a knee and that's it, 10-10 at half...we've got a good one.
Rowland punts from their own endzone, Charter Oak gets it back on the Raiders' 39 with 1:08 left in the half.
The Raiders do nothing on their next series, back to their own 10 with 1:17 left, facing a fourth and 23.
Allen sacked on the next play, and I've got to tell you, this Rowland crowd is packed and loud, they're obviously enjoying their first semifinal in decades.
Charter Oak punts, and it's a great one by Allen, all the way to the Raiders' 23.
Charter Oak stalling near their own 40, then gets hit with a penalty, pushing it back to their own 33, 2nd and 16.
Allen scrambles, makes a tough throw off his back foot, incomplete, Allen a little shook up on a hit, but appears fine.
QB Michael Ball took it from there, sneaking in from a yard to tie the score, 10-10 with 6:57 left in the half.
It's a big stadium, the Rowland side is pretty packed, but a little disappointed on Charter Oak side, it's half full but people are still trickling in.
-------
Rowland has a first and goal at the 10...
Ball hits BJ Oyefeso, who is tackled at the one, they're arguing whether he fumbled, Charter Oak signalling they got it. The refs huddle.....tick, tock, tick, tock ... Raiders keep it. 2nd and goal at the 1
On a third and short, Raiders QB Ball hit Stansell on a screen, and he turned it into a big play, all the way to the Chargers' 20, first and ten
Fred .... How many in attendance ?
End of the first quarter, Charter Oak 10, Rowland 3
Chris Allen threw a 42-yard pass (all hangtime) to Eric Rogers, who outleaped and defender and hauled it in at the Raiders' 24 yardline.
On a reverse, AJ Powell took a pitch from Allen, then found Allen down the left side for a first down at the two yardline.
After a Muema one-yard run, Chris Allen snuck it in from one yard, 7-0 Chargers, 51 seconds left.
Raiders backed up, facing a 3rd and 12 from the 31, QB Ball rolls right, nowhere to go, gets knocked out at 29.
Okay, they're trying a 46-yard field goal by Henry Calistro, GOOD!!, 3-3, 4:02 left. Man, he had an extra ten yards left on that.
Stansell returned the kickoff past midfield, and they've moved it down to the3 36-yardline, facing a 3rd and 3, Stansell runs for a first down at the Chargers' 29
On third and two, Muema stuffed for a loss back on the their own 20. Facing a fourth-and-five, Chargers kicker Robert Poage belts a 37-yard field goal with 7:51 left, 3-0 Charter Oak.
Chargers RB Adam Muema goes left 15 yards for a first down at the 25. On the next play Muema fumbles, but the Chargers get it back on the the 24.
Stansell rushed for three yads on his first carried, but the Raiders didn't little else, punting the ball and giving Charter Oak good field position at the Raiders' 40, 1st and ten, 10:31 left
Rowland has won the toss and has elected to receive....It feels about 50 degrees and Raiders coach Snyder is in shorts like it's the Aloha Bowl.
Remember, the Rowland-Charter Oak game starts at 7, and the Monrovia-Rosemead at 7:30 p.m.
-------
Boom Boom Hamlow just walked in the press box, ordering people around. All the spygate Charter Oak talk is hilarious, both sides are laughing at it. Okay, see you in about 28 minutes.
I'm here, I got a signal, we're good to go...
