After Preps update: Ex-area stars lead Utah to Sugar Bowl win

Hi all:

I just wanted to let you know about my latest post on Prep Stars: Where are you now? I write about former area stars Freddie Brown, of Damien High School and Citrus College, and David Reed, of Pasadena City College, who helped Utah score a 31-17 victory over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Friday.

Comments

Fred any chance the Damien faithful could tone it down a bit. With all the love they are showing Freddie and Ian it's getting to be a bit obnoxius.

I mean ...on and on...and on...

Too bad the Spartans haven't shown Freddie more love after a remarkable career journey and a possible NFL career.

That Damien class was out of this world. Ian Johnson, Freddie Brown and Nick Bright. Just phenom athletes.

Anyone know what happened to Nick? He's one of the greatest physical bodies I've ever seen, Unlimited athletic potentail. 6'7" and strong as an ox! Great motor. Somehow he was wasted at Damien. Just enjoyed seing him play. Quirks and all...HE WAS A STUD!!!!

FREDDIE's one of the finest individuals to ever walk Damien soil...and his running mate Ian Johnson ain't too bad either.

Here's to you Freddie. Pops must be very proud.

Former Amat standout Jonathan Cornell MLB #51 at Ole Miss nice win over Texas Tech.

Don't forget about Sean Smith from Blair High in Pasadena who plays CB for the Utes and had a good game too and is getting looks from N.F.L scouts.
