for once, you've actually said something that made sense and didn't come out of your ass. yes the montview league is weak and sucks, but did i ever say workman is the best team for being in the montview league? no i didnt. the lobos are 9-5, while the rest of montview league combines for a record of 22-59. but then again, a win against ayala didn't come in the montview league, reaching the ayala dogfight championship didn't come by beating teams in the montview league, or winning the montview league pool. infact, every team in that tournoment was in a stronger league then the montview league. workman will never get respect for winning a title in the montview league, thats why we try to schedule the toughest preseason possible. At first workman was in the arroyo tournoment, but then pulled out because it wasn't that tough, so we enrolled in the estancia tournoment, which featured teams like mission viejo, long beach wilson, edison, laguna hills, etc. and 3 losses of ours came in that tough tournoment.

i still don't know why you bash on workman so much. why is that? you say your son went to mater dei.... i honestly am starting to doubt that and think maybe you're the head coach from la puente, or even sierra vista. maybe you're just a local hater. think about it everyone, why would some random guy who had his kids supposably play at a big time school like mater dei, all of sudden come over here and bash on a small school from another county?

That was almost as funny as when you started bashing Coach James when you thought he was me. I love the threat at the end too...put it over the top for me.

What I am saying is that Walnut has had a very light pre-season and entered a lot of "cupcake" tournaments that the did and should have won. And when Joe Amat post the SOS it just reiterated my point of view. Can you really argue the fact that Walnut has had a light pre-season? No you can't. You can say schools schedule fluff games for confidence or what not, but we have scheduled so many it could affect our confidence, meaning we could have a false sense of confidence.

Any team can beat anyone on any given night! let me repeat that, any given team can beat anyone at any time, it all depends on who wants it more. That's why the clippers will beat the Lakers one night by 20 and then the Lakers will beat them the next night by 20. What I am angry at you for, is the fact that you made it personal, by attacking Walnut, who cares about the rankings. You went on to question only Walnut and then you called them weak and then you made a statement saying that Workman would kill us, how does that show support? Your a hater and their is nothing more to it. Walnut beat jserra last night at jserra in a hostile enviroment, those Walnut boys played their hearts and won, go look at some of the statements that are on socal hoops about that game, most come from jserra fans that say their team just got outplayed. Jserra who has Alec Baldwin at 6"7 240 pounds senior already commited to San Diego State. No where in your first statements in your previous post do you question any other teams ranking except Walnut. If we use your thinking then let's see, Walnut beat Bishop Amat, Bishop Amat easily beats Los Altos, Los Altos barely loses to Workman. So what does that tell you, nothing. But if we think your way then their would be no way Walnut would lose to Workman. I will repeat myself one last time "any team can beat anyone on any given night". AS a supporter, you should not question the rankings, you should be gratefull and support the kids and give them encouragement and have faith in them, do I need to post your original statement again? This is what I was talking about when I said Walnut has a great record, but hasn't played anyone. Look at their strength of schedule... a 2.3, the next lowest is Bishop at a 5.6.

Speaking of which how can Bishop be ahead of Walnut considering Walnut just beat them head to head. Walnut won another (albeit weak) tourney and Bishop was slaughtered 18 - 60?

Walnut did win the Alhambra Tournament, they won the Viewpoint Tournament last week. I think the top 10 is pretty fair based on wins and who they have played. Walnut plays Jserra today, a big Trinity School. They have Alec Williams who has commited to San Diego State. It will be another good test for Walnut since Jserra is pretty big.

Hey b-ball I agree that the D-Ranch/Bonita games are something to really look forward to but let's enjoy the game tonight, it has "BIG GAME" all over it and should be a lot of fun to watch. Hopefully Bonita is focused and comes out on top....

To be fair, they also lost to Walnut (8th) and have wins against Rosemead, South El Monte, Bassett (twice), and some other below average schools. While getting BLOWN out in the Covina Tourney and only scoring 18pts... in an entire game.

Damien looks strong this year. They have size, scorers and finally ball handlers. The JV team looked good and teh Freshmen team is very versatile.

Bonita on the other hand is a home grown bunch of friends that have been playing together since grade school.

Wednesday Night at Damien is a huge game, #2 and #5 in the top 10 play. Bonita at Damien, Bonita beat Damien on december 11th at glendora in a tournament by 4, Damien will get a win on wednesday
