First, Diamond bar is (10-5) they beat San Clemente,Second of all, there isnt a single sportswriter at the Tribune that wants to see Diamond Bar win or suceed, thats why they start out at bottom of rankings and usually stay there regardless of who they might beat! Diamond Bar used to get much more love when they were covered by the Daily bulletin a few yrs back.

It goes
Nogales
Rowland
West Covina
Walnut
South Hills
The top 4 can and will kill each other for the top 3 spots for league and playoffs.

Walnut sucks and will get beat up tonight, I gurantee it. That is very doubtful that they can win league, or even make it past first round of playoffs

Wow thanks Bonita Sports fan,
To have some coverage for this game is awsome, I went and voted and even though I attended Fairfax, and would love to see them play Westchester, I voted for my new team (since my son now attends) Bonita.
Good luck this Friday Bearcats, and again, stay focused, weather the storm, slow the game down and we should have a shot...

KTLA, Channel 5, is asking viewers to vote on which high school basketball game they should cover this Friday night. One of the 4 choices is BONITA @ D-RANCH.
Regardless of which team you pull for, I feel it's in everyone in the SGV to vote for that game. It's unusual to have our area teams even mentioned on Channel 5's nightly sports. This would be a good way to show them of the interest level and how they should get out this way more often.
The game Friday night is going to be loud & rowdy. May the best team win.

BB Fan,
Walnut has had some solid BB teams in the past probably late 80's early 90's is when that started to end. It has been awhile though. I do expect (Tony are you reading this?) Walnut to not only get to the playoffs, but to definitely have a shot at winning the league title.
Joe Amat,
I cracked the "who beat who" and here is what I can say; Walnut should be Nogales and Bonita this year based on what you listed. Do I believe it? Who knows...that's why we have playoffs and that's why the BCS sucks.

Walnut Insider
sure the rankings look confusing but if you take a look at Diamond Bar's record at Max Prep, they have beaten teams that all have a losing record. They have not beaten anyone worthwhile. Yes, they beat Walnut, but since then no one good and Walnut has a better record and have played and beaten more teams with a high winning record as well as teams that are ranked in their specific division by CIF ranksing that came out this week. Walnut I don't think can sustain their winning streak, in fact I think they will get beat tonight by West Covina and Friday by Nogales, all these ranking are going to change alot with-in the next couple of weeks. Walnut is weak and should get blown out by most teams in their division, Walnut has never been a basketball powerhouse.

Joe,
I've read that over and over and I am still lost....
Good luck to Bonita this Friday, SLOW the game down and play smart fundemental B-ball and we should have a shot, DR is a very good team and they deserve that #1 spot.

Walnut Insider,
DB beat Walnut.
Walnut beat Amat
Amat beat Damien
Damien beat Bonita
Bonita beat Amat
Amat beat Chino Hills
Chino Hills beat Nogales
Bonita beat Chino Hills
Nogales beat Damien
Damien also lost to Bonita
sort that out with the "who beat who" formula

BB Fan,
We have lost to Diamond Bar and Fairmont Prep.
On a side note, once again Diamond Bar beats us head to head and yet they are ranked below us. Fred do you have a kid going to Walnut? :-) Just funny to me how two times now this has happened. Nice to see Diamond Bar getting screwed over.

unproud warrior,
why am i not suprised to hear something like that?? banging them up is one thing, but to hurt two players is unacceptable. especially cj. just because you can't guard cj, doesn't mean hurt him. you guys always do this to workman..... on the 07 season when we were beating you at home, your shitty point guard #23 close lined bobby miles when he was in the air catching a pass. then later in the 08 season, that same player was throwing elbows all game long. i said it before, and i'll say it again, your coach is a dueche bag!

its sad to find out from one of my classmates on the la puente boys basketball team to find out that coach aceves told the team to play dirty against workman friday night. i thought he was a great guy, and a great coach after winning the second straight league title. but now im not so sure. one my friend that me that coach told andrew that if he didn't play physical against them, he was gonna bench him. on behalf of the warriors, sorry workman.

So do I have to go to Pomona to get to DR??? J/K I keep reading all these post back and forth between DB and DR I had to throw something in there... BTW DR does look good, I hope Bonita can slow the game way down and keep their heads up and play them tough. Good luck Bearcats.

workman is 3-0 in league in a dominating fashion.

The ratings are pretty much on target except #9 Chino Hills would get my vote.

should be a good game on Friday and a good indication as to how good we are this year. Although our schedule has been very weak, we have a lot of wins under our belt. Perhaps winning is contagious. We shall wait and see.
On a side note, I do see Walnut making the playoffs this year. I think we can beat most of our league and I only see Nogales as our only real competition.
