Boys Soccer: Braves move to No. 1
Rankings: Now that I've got full records of most teams, there's no denying that Baldwin Park should be No. 1, especially after last week's 1-0 victory over Mountain View. Wilson is still going strong at No. 2 and Glendora drops a couple spots after back-to-back losses. Sierra Vista jumps up to No. 4 after a 5-2 beating over Workman.

Above: South Hills during its 2-1 victory over Bishop Amat last week.

One component of creating the top ten should be the opinion of a couple of officials.
They see a minimum of two games a week. The good ones can recognize a strong team very quickly and they get their view from field level.
Everything looks easy from the stands.
That being said, your top ten is filled with strong teams. It is difficult to place teams when they have not played each other. That should have happened at a couple of tournaments; but the structure of the tournaments prevented that from happening.

Just saw the CIF rankings and Wilson was ranked 1 in Division 4. I have seen them play and they are good but that ranking is way too high. Baldwin Park is a good team and I saw them at the Wilson tournament. Would love to see Wilson and Baldwin go at it....
