Boys Basketball heating up

Out of the seven boys basketball teams remaining in the playoffs, who has been the biggest surprise? There hasn't been a true standout like Dominic Tiger-Cortes to run away with player of the year, so have any suggestions? How about our Tribune top five? Coach of the year? This is extremely difficult also, but one of the coaches still alive are going to win, then will hopefully coach the all-star game.

I know this is really boring and you are skipping to the next comment, but I just wanted to throw you a big thanks, you cleared up some things for me!
A great template. Where did you get it?
Keep believing that if it makes you sleep better.
Sadder yet because of low life cowards like you who just live to embarass the son even more...what's that you say?....that wasn't your intention...oh well all is fair in spineless coward land right?
grow a set and tell the man to his face.
Good luck tonight Vikes!
yea its gotta be northviews ron rice who has brought this group of seniors through on varsity since their sophmore year and are one of the toughest teams in the area especially lately. and as far as player of the year farmer at northview has to be in the conversation he had 26 points and at least 8 assists in the second round game and he picked up his third foul at the beginning of the second quarter, sitting him the rest of the game. with all the talk of glendora nogales bonita and diamond ranch people need to take a serious look at northview.
Nogales will Kill Palm Springs I've see them play they are not very good they just play in a horrible area.

Good Luck to the mighty Nobles! Beat those Indians!
Division III-AA
Palm Springs (21-2) at Nogales (23-7)
This really brings back memories,,, I know it's Basketball playoffs and all. But, I remember we, Nogales Football, traveled to Palm Springs to play in the first round of 1989 CIF Football Championships. They were 10-0 and we were the At-Large team. As our bus pulled into the parking lot, we noticed they had a banner displayed at their tailgate party that read, "Eat, Drink and be Merry, for today we will WIN"...... Boy,,, did that get us going. Needless to say we upset them and moved on the the second round. They were a huge team... Their Middle Linebacker #75, was about 6'4" 225....
Does Damien stand a chance against Mayfair? Only realists allowed to respond.
Kind of hard to go against Northview's Rice. They went undefeated in league, are one of the best teams and never had a real home game all year. Plus he won his 500th, c'mon fred
Coach of the year should go to Hart from BP
Coach Roper of Nogales HS should be Caoch of the Year.
I lean toward the Tartans but I have to think the play of the year should go to Cunnigham at DRanch. He's been doing it a long time around here, he's a good kid and he doesn't play selfish...not to mention his team is #1 in the valley and in his division. COY is a tough one. I of course like the job LeDuc has done without a clear "star" with all local kids (getting #700 helps too), but Rice is a great coach who's done a great job with his group this year, Nogales coach deserves consideration as does Ekler at Bonita. I guess we'll know a little more after this week.
actually they are 18-11
Ross went around telling everyone his son was the starting Shortstop on Varsity baseball @ Diamond Bar High. Are you telling me his son didn't even make Varsity? Please confirm.
DBar soph Dad,
Stop your crying Rossy boy! Thank goodness Varsity baseball doesn't have to put up with you! All your A** kissing got you know where! Coaches at Diamond Bar can't stand you....Stay away from all sports PLEASE!
Damien's record is actaully 17-11!
Damien's record is actually 17-11!
you need to include Ayala, Chino Hills, and Chino in you SGV blogs...it really is a pain when you have a league like the Sierra but you only cover half of it. All for one and one for all!
