Hey Charter Oak--SH has plenty of freshman "golden boys" left--you people who think Travis was Freshman EVERYTHING obviously only watched HIM in their games. Travis is good but South Hills won't fall apart because he left. He had some STUDS helping him look good if not better than he is. Get over it. South Hills has.

You post that Northview is the second best team in the valley and it is acknowledged that it is between AMAT and CO as to who was the best this past season . Where does that put SH because you cannot by any means claim them to be #1 . Even if you take AMAT out of the equation due to being a D-1 school that still leaves SH at best number 3 by your thinking.

It is suggested that some people should know at least some facts before spreading rumors. I know Travis Santiago and his father, who happened to coach Frosh baseball last year and lives in the CO district. The kid was set to attend CO last year but changed his mind at the last second. He will have the grades to play...SGV have you seen his report card?

Had Josiah Thropay simply stayed put in hometown Monrovia, he would be playing for Maddox now and would have been the starting QB on a team that went all the way to the CIF semis last year.

Yeah, I know hindsight is 100% clear.. And there was also the stint of violence in the Monrovia area that caused some athlete exodus. However, sometimes keeping the faith and pushing through - can be the way to go, rather than the quick trigger "greener pastures" approach that once again leads this young man elsewhere.

Gilmore was transfered to LP because of grades. With that, he should not be able to run track this year.

Your pathetic literally begging for transfers and last I checked need I remind you that Northview is in the Valle Vista league and your school is considered the "ghetto" of our district. Your coaches and players behavior is embarrassing on Friday nights and you'll always be nothing more than a second best team in our Valley. Good luck next year beating Rosemead for the C.I.F. Championship. And you ask why NO ONE wants to transfer to your school. We turn away players from your school because they couldn't play for us. Good luck next year with your "monster" preseason schedule too.

I have a couple of questions? Why do all these kids get to transefer everywhere? And why dont they go to Northview? Northview is always competitive and they have great coaches. They do it with what they have. With a little help they can be as good as anyone.....so players transfer to Northview and you will not regret it.

On the subject of Thropay . How can it be that he can jump from school to school simply because of the fact that his qb position is in jeopardy at the school he is attending. He already transfered out of AMAT to go to CO. This just may be speculation by bloggers but something about that doesn't seem right.

Heard Thropay is considering San Dimas now. Could be a good move at this point. We'll see how this one plays out. I hear San Dimas only lost one game between their freshman and JV teams. Also, have some pretty good athletes coming back from last year.

The Freshman QB from SH that transferred to CO won't have the grades to play, maybe at first but........his 15 minutes will be short.....
