Football: Tip Sanders to Duarte?

With Sanders going to Duarte, SEM will end up with Hernandez. Still trying to confirm who interviewed and from rumors there were some impressive candidates, not sure why they would go with Hernandez. Maybe football is not a priority. I will post names of candidates when confirmed. It seems like SEM is going to become the MtView of the MVL. I bet EM is happy. Wait, I think MtView owns EM

canada went to duarte his freshman year but he did attend monrovia schooling in the years before that. a player would choose duarte for crutchfield because he is probably the most efficient coach around at getting kids into d-1 schools with a scholarship, not only his own players but other players in the SGV as well as the IE

I dont comment here that often because i dislike most people in this blog. I dont want to say any names of these kids. they could change there minds for all i know. But it really does not matter who the coach is next year he will have 20 players max! Duarte football will be bad for a while hopefully it can get back on it's feet and be a force. What really sucks is that they would have had a pretty good team this coming year now if they win a 3 games ill be surprised.

Yea you are right... I probably havn't realized all the players that come from duarte or monrovia, but I'm pretty sure they come because they don't want to play at Duarte in the Montview League... To go to a school like Duarte because of a coach doesn't make much sense, but that's what the kid chose... I'm just pointing out the truth, you can't come on here and say he's the best RB in the SGV when he plays in probably the worst league in the SGV... Especially when one of the RBs I named was on the CIF championship winning team in a much tougher division... Like I said GOOD LUCK to the kid!

ok we will see after the season who has a full ride out of the other runningbacks named. canada went to duarte because of crutchfield and the turn around in the duarte football program he made.the speed of the skilled players the past few years easily compares to other schools in better leagues throughout the valley. you havent realized all the duarte/monrovia players at schools like charter oak and succeed?

Joe Husky is right about everything, i truly agree Joe. i did some backtracking from weeks ago and you tend to blog during class hours so really teach our kids please and blog on your own free time. so they finally hired a new coach @ lp, well since you broke the news your probably a teacher or a coach @ Lp. arnt you?

The Montview League doesn't compare to the San Antonio or the Miramonte league... If Canada was really that good (an 11 on a scale from 1-10) he could've went to any of these schools since his freshman or sophomore year... Racking up all those yards in the Montview doesn't really prove much... I havn't seen the kid at all, but I've seen plenty of Montview League games the speed of the DBs and LBs doesn't compare... GOOD LUCK to the kid though, hopefully he does good next year and goes on to college!

On a scale from 1-10 Canada is an 11. Duarte high school has been his biggest hold back. He is the team, and I mean that literally. If he went to any school in the Valley, Inland Empire, Orange County, San Diego County, or Northern California, He would start and without sudden injury would gain at least 2500 yards in one season. Go to Max preps and check out his stats per carry, It's ridiculous. As Big and Bad as Bishop Amat claims to be this guy Would be the Difference Maker in winning that league. For all on this blog that Know nothing about this Athlete hopefully you learn this season. Like I said the only way this kid doesn't get more than 2500 yards this season is because of his current team not having the soldiers to block for him. Being a former running back I can surely attest to that.

SEM interviewed 5 coaches this past Friday we should know by today or the latest tomorrow who got the job. This is a big hire for a 1st year principle and will be a great indication of the direction he wants the football program to go. Will he sink the ship with the LP coach or surprise us with one of the two highly qualified coaches that applied?

Sorry No Fit. Canada is a great person and would fit in fine at San Dimas. He should either stay put or go to San Dimas or Wilson. Those schools are good academic schools and he will be able better prepared to go to a 4 year college. The rest of the schools, BP, LA, or Northview, are quite a step down academically. Look up the API. Hell, send him to Arcadia, that would be a great fit. Would play in a good league, a tough CIF Division, and get into a great college.

Why not Wilson High, why cant Canada call Wilson high home, they have the new staff including a new H.C. (Zavala) where they can work around him, and allow him to shine like he should. New School, New Staff, why Not Wilson High?

Oh yeah, LP selected their new coach. A first year teacher there who is the son of one of the Principal's friends. He has coached at Glendora and a few other spots in the last few years. He has never been a HC before, but he seems like he is fired up and ready too go.

Canada the best returning RB in the SGV??? Ricky Johnson(WC), Jordan Gutierrez(SH), and Adam Muema(CO) with a ring... He's probably the best RB in the Montview League not the SGV...

I unlike yourself work when I am at my place of employment and am exasperated at the thought of you being a teacher in the classroom with our children and instead of focusing on your curriculum and educating our kids you choose to spend our tax dollars by reading and typing posts on your computer during your work day. I hope former LP coach ends up at Duarte otherwise it seems like he might end up at SEM and that will not be good for our program! His horrific coaching was most evident this past season and in the Hall of Fame Game where his East team that had arguably more talent was simply out coached!

Everytime Fred gets cfalled to the carpet by someone on a ethical,professional issue - such as MrMan1in this case - Fred runs and hides - or responds with some smart a$$ remark making lite of the situation - yet he never really addresses the issue at hand.

Speaking of scheduling, one interesting game I heard about is Bonita vs. Santa Fe. Santa Fe is always ranked really high in CIF, but they play in a league that isn't the most competetive while Bonita is considered to be just a middle of the road kind of team.

Starting running back (involved in incident last week) and the starting wide receiver are gone at the end of the semester. They are both going to South Hills. Five of South Hills starters next year will have played freshmen ball at LA. LA lost two others to LVL and lost four and counting to Wilson over the last month. Any one interested in leaving LA per CIF rules safety is a reason for none freshmen to leave and still be eligible. Before you make the move talk to someone at the school you are moving to that you trust.

The principal tried to bring in someone from Sierra Vista and then the ex LP coach and there was an uproar. Hes trying to bring in Tip to appease the situation. With so many transfers Duarte would be lucky to win a game next year with Pete Carrol coaching. And Crutch is headed to BP.

Before you try to check someone on the use of "there" or "their", you need to learn how to (1). write in complete sentences, (2). use proper punctuation marks, and (3). make sure your paragraph make since. You have no idea what your talking about. First of where is all this so called woe is me crap, I have said before. Please inform me, because I have never been nor will ever be a woe is me kind of person. Oh yeah, for the record.........I have 2 degrees (B.A. and a Masters) and graduated at the top of both of my classes. No cheating was necessary.

Secondly, I am highly successful in what I do: teach and coach. I am not a HC, but only a loyal and competent position coach. I do what I do because I love kids and for the most part kids respect me for all my efforts. As for kids wanting to play where I coach, they do. Successful programs get the good players because most parents want their kids to be on a winner.

Finally, do we recruit.......NO we do not. Does recruiting happen, yes it does. Do parents at the more successful schools lie about addresses to get their kids in the door, yes they do. Do most coaches know about this, NO. The whole point of me even bringing this up because you have people outing kids/coaches on blogs and most of the time, they have no idea what their talking about.

A small piece of advice to Fred and all the bloggers: Do you realize that your doing some of these kids a disservice by telling all their business on this blog! Case in point is all the kids from Du-Rock who MIGHT want to leave because Crutch is no longer HC. If anyone from C.I.F. read this blog or if a coach from a rival school read this blog, the kid(s) will be the one getting screwed over! It is illegal for a school to talk to an athlete from another school until said kid has checked into his new school. Yes, we all know it goes on, but stop outing kid and coaches on this blog!

Fred, your supposed to know a lot about high school sports and the rules pertaining to transfers, etc from C.I.F. Dude stop starting rumors and police this blog every once in a while. It's one thing to talk smack about a coach or school. It's a totally different situation when you start saying, "a reliable source told me, that this kid is transferring too........." Canada is going to South Hills. He already has been in contact with our team and school and is looking for affordable housing. San Dimas would make sense given the league he's been competing in but he wants the challenge of playing football at a higher level. He never considered some of the other bigger programs in the Valley because they already have quality running backs and right now he can probably start ahead of our sophmore next year. We don't want you though Crutchfield you would fit in nicely like Raul said at Northview.

Why go to BP and SD??? They are gonna get beat again next year by Northview!!!
