SAN DIMAS TOURNAMENT: Glendora’s Waldusky injured, Tartans still win, 2-1

Update: Glendora pitcher Dana Waldusky sat out because of a hamstring injury, but sophomore Carly Argyle stepped in and earned a 2-1 victory by scattering six hits and using good defense behind her. Bonita’s Amber Bachman hit a solo bomb to left than she ran out for a homer to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead. But Glendora’s Dani Minor drove in a pair of runs in the second innings to seal the deal.

Today’s semifinals
Glendora 2, Bonita 1
Northview vs. Etiwanda, 5:15 p.m.
Note: Saturday’s championship, 6 p.m.

Prediction: Northview has been a good story to this point, and received a favorable draw compared to others, but Etiwanda is a mighty tall hill to climb, and should be in the finals tomorrow. Glendora and Bonita is a toss-up, but I have to give the edge to the more experienced Tartans. They have championship experience, and usually that makes a difference.
