What are you sayin? said:

If Salley played every game from start to finish, he could have averaged 30 points. Many games he sat for most or all of the 2nd half.

Who (besides DR's Cunningham) could have slowed him this year?

Downard?

Jorritsma?

They have size, but would get dunked on every trip down court.

Anyone else?

Didn't think so.

just sayin said:

chance taker-Salley averaged 16/10 against the comp you already played - what makes you think he'd get 20/15 against real teams?

Take a Chance said:

Sure, I'll agree Upland Christian is pretty terrible. CSDR has some pretty good athletes, but they are over matched by LVL. Boys Republic? Most of their kids aren't serious about athletics.

OTOH, those "Mathemeticians and Scientists" were pretty good. They did place two kids on the all-CIF list.

Challenge time:

If you really want to compare Salley to Glendora, Diamond Ranch, Nogales, Damien and Bonita have them set up a game. Salley would put up 20 points and 15 boards versus any of them any night.

just sayin said:

In All-CIF Salley is compared to a bunch of teams, like those on their schedule, such as Upland Christian, Boys Republic and the California School for the Deaf - not to mention those powerhouse Mathmeticians and Scientists they beat in the playoffs. In the SGV he's compared to Glendora, Diamond Ranch, Nogales, Damien, Bonita, and the two studs at Workman. - That's why.

Jordan Salley makes all CIFSS ist team but gets honorable mention on SGV TRIBUNE,must be small school syndrome, just wondering?

CIF are boneheads said:

Jake V deserved to make CIF. Chris A was great but someone hand to manage the team and Jake's been doing it for four yrs, three as a starter on varsity. CIF are bone heads.Next stop for Jake is the Pac 10. Way to go Jake !
