whoever thinks andy salcido is a great player,dont think that.yea,he may look good against ganesha,pomona,covina. wat about northview or san dimas? ive been watching him play this entire 2009 season, im not impressed by his performance,especially against san dimas.

Salcido will not get ANY offers from any D1 schools. He is a good high school pitcher period. There is nothing wrong with being a good high school pitcher but sorry the road ends after this year for him.

the shortstop from BP is also legit. A bit small but he has great hands and has been smashing the ball lately.

You can't hide the bad calls made (who ever is in charge).You got mercied 2 Xs by the same team if BP mercy Northview or San Dimas.Then maybe your point.note:why not let your freshman gain some experiance. Tampa Bay Rays are looking at andy salcido along with Fullerton, he truly is under rated...he was also an awesome quarterback that threw close to 2900yards, he is also a great catcher, he definitely has an arm, although he is currently needed at third because of his agility

Pete, You put a line up of 13,14,15, year old KIDS,because they were a good travel team, that played other teams of 13,14,15,. And you think they can play at this level with grown man? these are still little boys some who balls haven't drop, and you find it frustrating?

Behind or at the same level as Rio Ruiz, Nick Hines has been one of the best starting pitchers in the area for a while. Why wouldnt you use him as a pitcher. Last year he was approached by Amat and Northview as a pitcher and you dont even have him throw a bullpen? Also, the kid is coming out of a knee injury and you have him catching oout of the gates? YOu need to protect him, you are the coach!

They have some quality paople there whoo know what tradition is. Mostly all those coaches are from the BP teams from the early 90's.
I bet freddy remembers those teams. when they were moved from the lowly montview league to the mighty sierra league.

To Go Colts: Loaiza is a joke. You will continue to be frustrated throughout the whole year. He is not a leader of men, but just a guy with a big mouth. Wilson didn't have much but he actually made them worse. Covina will be bad for a while under him.

"Frustrating" You chose to have a young untested team at the Varsity level. It's one thing to play Travel ball with little boys and entirely different playing with young men at the High School level. Are you up to the task or will your poor judgement continue through the season and destroy Covina's tradition of being a top competitor.

Northview beat Pomona 9-1. Ruvalcaba got the win on the mound and Ryan Arnold hit a homerun and double to lead the Vikings.

All the travel team experiance brought to the table was supposed to put the colts over the top.Its not a learning curve its called bad judgement. You have earned every bit of your season to come. Pete you have ball players that could do a better job than your freshman.Make the needed canges and stop bleeding. Do it for the kids...!
