Hey Monkey.
im not from bonita.im from LA. dont be so mad because there is a better team in the area this year.i based my opinion on the games i saw, if you want to go by stats , and who they played and the game you won, thats fine. in my opinion Bonita is a better team than you, and i guess, many others think this also.so take your crap attitude and run it at someone else.
2009- bonita, the best 4 now
2008-northview , the best
2007-charter oak, the best

lol mrs leyva who knows? anyways todays glendora damien game should be a good one. Plutko vs Amerheim favors glendora in terms of potential and prospect status but amerheim has proven to be the better pitcher for hs success. Can henley get this team to play to its potential? Or will the glendora faithful have to wait another year to see if "this is the year"? Still not convinced on damiens bats or glendoras. This just might be a 2-1, 3-2 ballgame. Maybe BJ goes yard to win it? My prediction Glendora 3 Damien 2. Good luck!

Rgdg,
I have seen both Bonita and Northview play once against each other and Northview won 4-3, but it should've been 4-1 Northview, but they let Jio walk on ball 4 when it was as clear as night and day that he swung at strike 3 on the pitch. That would've made it 3 outs in the inning, instead 2 runs came across as a result. Anyways, I saw Northview beat Murrieta Valley 13-2 and Bonita beat same team 9-3. Also saw Northview beat up on Diamond Ranch 14-6 and lose a crappy day game at little league park with two kids from Clarmont hitting 4 hrs. No excuses, they are 3-1 after that tournament, just like Bonita, but head to head Northview beat them. Bonita beat an average at best Crescenta Valley team and Glendora in the championship in a close game and sorry, but we're seeing Glendoras true colors now aren't we?Are we going to keep making excuses as to why Northview beat Bonita like the last 4 years also? Jeez, I gave you guys a compliment and you still make an unsupportive reasoning to why Bonita is ranked that high compared to a cif championship team that beat bonita twice last year and again this year. Bottom line, there's no sense to make of it. Bad system or reasoning.

Spartan fan (mrs leyva),
were sure everyone will be ready and it will be a great week of sierra league baseball. You dont have to mention your husbands name everytime you want to post some props for the team. "Leyva and the boys" Give me a break. Earn it first. Your son's been the coach for all of one month. lol. good luck. All this just to be a hs coach. Are you sure Pomona Pitzer or Claremont McKenna doesnt need an asst? Oh wait, its too early, in a couple yrs he'll be looking. lol

Ben Bolch and his LA Times Rankings need to let us know how they get these rankings. How do you have Bonita #3 and Northview #17? Absolutely no knock whatsover on Bonita- they are good, but Northview is 5-1 with a big win over Bonita in the Glendora Tournament. They drop to #19 last week after going 3-1 in the Glendora Tournament. Bonita goes 3-1 with loss to Northview and goes from not being in top 20 to #5 and than #3 this week? Come on now, is that logical? I don't Bolch even knew Northview and Bonita played.

Great! This is the first full week of league play for the Sierra League and it promises to be a great one. Damien plays GHS on Tues. and AHS on Thurs. Leyva and the boys will be ready. Last week they easily put down CHHS with great hitting and pitching. Tuesday will be a great rival game. Regardless of what GHS has done recently, they will be up for us and it will be a barn burner. We have them at home, so you can bet that the crowd will be into it. Good luck to Leyva and the boys. Stay healthy and God Bless.
GO Damien!

Holy moley, Ben Bolch over at the Times has Bonita ranked #3, the only D3 school listed.
Northview is the only D4 team and they are ranked 17th, Arcadia is right behind them at #18.
As if the Bearcats didn't already have a target on the back of their shirts.

No surprise Glendora,
Glendora didn't play any real teams other than Bonita before they played Diamond Bar. That's the problem playing in low caliber tournaments! Glendora was 3-1...Doesn't mean a thing when you beat Charter Oak, Diamond Ranch, come on now this is the Sierra League! Diamond Bar played the big boys and was ready to kick some butt! You have to play the best to be the best. That's why rankings to me don't mean a thing....If you look at who Diamond Bar plays verses say, Amat or Diamond Ranch, or even Glendora (pre season) you can't compare apples and oranges. I dare any team in the SGV to play the teams DBAR did and I would like to see how their pitching/hitting would hold up. When you face El Toro ranked #2 in the nation bet your A** that's a dog fight. Diamond Ranch...Zero nothing a win over Dranch is like kissing your sister means ZERO!
