SAN DIMAS TOURNAMENT: Glendora, Bonita, Northview, Etiwanda in Final Four
Friday's semifinals
Glendora vs. Charter Oak, 3:15 p.m.
Northview vs. Etiwanda, 5:15 p.m.
Note: Saturday's championship, 6 p.m.
San Dimas update: Northview beats South El Monte 1-0 to advance to Friday's semfinals. In the other game, Glendora was beating Charter Oak 6-1 or 7-1 late in the game, it appears they will advance too. Hopefully Tartans, someone over there will phone in the result!.
Prediction: Now that we're in the Elite Eight and two tournament favorites, Los Altos and San Dimas, have both been eliminated by tough first-round opponents, the final four is a little easier to predict. South El Monte and Etiwanda will advance in the top half of the bracket. Glendora will knock off Charter Oak and I'm going with Bonita to continue their run and knock off Alta Loma. The championship is looking like Etiwanda and Glendora, and if that comes to fruition, look for Etiwanda to take it all.

San Dimas tournament

Top Bracket
Northview 1, South El Monte 0
Etiwanda 8, West Covina 0
Bottom Bracket

JUST A FAN
LA PLAYS TODAY AT 315 VS. WILSON
when does Los Altos play again??? Against whom???
I havent seen Glendora play yet this season but talking to some of the parent's around from other schools it sounds like they have had some luck on there side too. So with it looking like glendora/bonita both having decent teams and luck on there side who know's the outcome..... But I do think that Etiwanda will take it all who ever they play they have a over all good team....No mater what the outcome good luck ladies.
Fred &!!!!!!!!
thats the most predictable outcome but i see an upset in the making and you heard here first
the pick: bonita 2 Glendora 1 in 8innings.
Bonita looks really good right now.And congrats on a big win!!!.That should keep the teams confidence up..But I think I will go out on a limb and say that the championship game will be between # 1 on Fred's top 10 Glendora and the team that beat Los Altos. That was a big game for Etiwanda and both teams are breezing through this tourney.. Well good luck to all the teams that are still in it.. Will see what happens..
regardless of bad call or not, any player knows not to argue with an umpire. leave that to coach discretion.that player getting thrown out had nothing to do with outcome of the game.
softball fan why don't you give up your day job put a chest protector on and you go ump the games since your so smart. Your going to complain either way what team are you with so i know for next time.
Again the quality of the ump's are in question?? If you saw the game against bonita/alta loma, the young lady from alta loma was tossed from the game after questioning the 3rd strike, even though she was right about the ball being way outside no where near the plate the fustration of a 3rd strike on a bad call got the better of her and the blue tossed her.
To bad we can't toss the blues.
Great game yesterday between alta loma and bonita. impressive pitching by bonitas amber bachman.congratulations to the bearcats for keeping the ball rolling.we are looking forward to more great games from you this season.
hay fred, there were 3 games played yesterday. 2 of the games are mentioned in the paper and nothing is mentioned about the bonita vs alta loma game. what is up with that?
Great job Lady Bearcats!!!
Now let's bring this energy and excitment and this great vibe you got going, to Firday's game. Good luck.
Bonita beats Alta Loma
3-2,to advance to play glendora friday. Great job amber b on the mound.
fred,
how come the rankings werent in the paper today?
To all of those hard working coaches who also work hard teaching. I hope the districts realize how important you are and that you keep your jobs in this rough economy. I know of a couple of young teacher/coaches who are receiving "pink slips." Good luck gentlemen and keep up the faith.
"that fruition"is there more than one fruition? be careful when using the big words, ask Dan Waldusky! lol
