to bonita player.first you ladies should stay off this blog.as mentioned it is a great place for people, whether parents or fans to vent.realize most people on this blog criticizing bonita or other schools are usually disgruntled rivals, coaches, parents, etc.not parents from your school, though there are always some but again better to vent on here than to coach. from what we have been hearing and reading most everyone meaning bonita parents are happy with program and your success thus far.one bad game last week always brings out the critics and other critics always like to prove them wrong with stats, etc.i am neither a parent at bonita or other school but just a fan.you girls keep playing some great softball.

hey lafan, the big kid people referring to did not pitch thursday. that was amber bachman who came in for 1 inning in the 5th..amber a great kid but probably not referred to as a big kid..

bhs....fyi, the big kid pitched the 5th inning. giving up a walk and 3 hits.1 of which was a 2run home run to La's ss. coach pulled her out the next inn.

I agree better to vent here, coaching staff is doing what they have to do to win, they will figure it out. Whatever decisions are decided, we have to support them for the team. Good Luck tomorrow girls !

Yeah , errors do happen. But we've had way to many errors committed by the same girls over and over. Way to many unearned runs. Pitchers are throwing well, but have no defense behind them. Infield needs complete overhaul.

I am sure coaches would rather have parents and fans sound off here letting off steam then go to coach.purpose of this blog right? bonita good in temecula tomorrow

coach is doing a fine job as is his team. man 1 game not the end of the season yet.leave the kids alone.they r beating themselves up enough dont need anyone else adding to it

Bonita really should have brought in there big kid to pitch she would have shut them down for sure.

Bonita will be fine.. I thought you guys had it there for a while just like everyone else..except LA.. That's all..The coach will make his adjustments where needed..You guys rely on stats, but you guys have to remember when politics and parents mix it's difficult to handle as a coach. You have to remember it's the girls that play the sport a ground ball is a ground ball if your playing firs or third it's still a ground ball. Errors are going to happen..But he doesn't need his parent bashing him about one game..yea, it was a big game..you learn from it, just like the players do..concentrate on the positives and work on the little details here and there..The 1st and 3rd basemen will be fine, and so will the team..

no one on team had anything to brag about last year.they were in a different place mentally. the fact they scored more runs in 1 game yesterday than whole season last year against LA is proof of that.let them play

yeah coach has it figured out for the most part, look at their record so far.the most wins bonita had in a row last year were 3 and that wasnt against LA some of those were non league.if he wants to keep playing like yesterday then yeah maybe they will get by CO,wilson.but not LA.stats dont lie.errors dont lie.

I think the new coach has figured it out and fyi Diana pitched a no no the last 4innings including the big kid. 0-8 now.

hey that may not of been her best game yesterday but the majority of the errors did not belong to 1st.like everyone, including 3rd, we have see them all have better games.yesterday was not a reflection of their talent.move on to something else

bonita definately an improvement over last few years.they are the real deal. but yes, infield needs some changes.go look at picture gallery from yesterdays game. girl at first,eyes closed and you are right FAN that is not a first base glove.obviously shes not serious about first. no wonder she dropped ball.that together with her bat is a no brainer.but that aside they will only get better and it is coaches decision to make changes. our opinions dont matter.he will figure it out and if he doesnt then oh well.

fan - i am with you on this one (the big guns should be in the game all the time not rotating dh). bonita coach needs to make changes sooner than later when defense isn't working in pitching and infield. thought the object of the game is to win and to win you have to play your best players at all times. i don't see that happeing.

Tough, tough, loss yesterday, The Bearcats had them where they wanted them, Diana was pressing after the Bearcat batters were patiently working the count and forcing her to make good pitches.Fred, you have done an admirable job with these blogs, I appreciate the fact that you try to relay the story without causing to much discomfort to the kids who error or make mistakes. My kid was at third, trust me no one is going to make her feel worse than she already does. She did not try to talk ger way out of it or anything, she said "I screwed up Dad" She did not make three errors last season let alone in a game. I can tell you this much, she will go today and work hard aqs she always has. Ken, you are the class of the league, thanks !

bhsfan I think what FAN was getting at is this.bonita has 6 girls consistentely in the lineup, batting,238, 200,200,190, 182 and .80. they never budge. the top 3 girls on team are batting 462, 360 and 348 as of today stats. of those 3, only 1 is consistently in lineup as well as playing 2nd. the other 2 when not pitching or rotating at first are either dh or on bench.and since only 1 can dh there have been a few games for example glendora and yesterday (with bonita losing both ) that one of them sat.

Let just say that I am very proud of these players, they have been working very hard. And to play a team that is every bit as good as it is written and furthermore to play against them we they did? I am very proud. Great Job Los Altos, good luck on your season!

Hey I hate to say this but errors are part of the game..No one like to have'em but it's going to happen I've seen LA make crucial errors, they all do.. It's how you respond or react afterward that's going to make you a better player.. you can either learn from it and let it go and move on.(short term memory) or dwell on it..I'm sure the 3rd and 1st basemen feel pretty bad, but I'm sure there coaching staff and teammates will be there to pick them up..These girls are still learning..Good teams find a way to win and LA did yesterday..Don't get me wrong I think Bonita's is getting better and should get stronger..Just give a little time and patience..

la deserved to win that game yesterday, errors or not. we have all the confidence bonita will keep the ball rolling and have a great season. and please could we not start slamming players on either team?

bhsfan.first, nice going, fan or parent bashing a bonita player.. go check last years stats correction 0-7 not 0-13.and that was last year no one at bonita was hitting off diana last year..what is she doing this year? she is 1 of only 4 bearcats even hitting over 300.

I like to give a big shout to LA on a good game against Bonita..Bonita looks very good right now and I'm sure they will get better..Good luck to you Bearcats..LA showed a lot of heart and played good ball.No excuses here but I think the blue was squeezing DL, but she adjusted very well showing poise.The whole team did very well and that was a prime example of team work from everybody..Keep it going LA..

Let's go over that fourth inning. Patterson leads off with a walk, then Dedeaux hits a grounder to third that I score an infield single. It was very close, but that was my impartial scoring ruling. After a pop-out Contreas tripled home Pattersona and Dedeauz, which are two earned runs. Then the next two runs, which I stated, were the results of errors. It's all a matter of how you score it I guess.

hit the nail on the head badreporting.hopefully bonita coach can do what former coaching staff never had the guts to do and see whats not working and not be afraid to rumple anyones feathers and make the changes he needs to. cuz bonita has what it takes but needs some fine tweaking in the infield. the big guns should be in the game all the time not rotating dh. defense is sorely lacking in some places.and if that 1st baseman thinks she has what it takes then someone tell her to invest in a 1st baseman glove.

First off congrats to LA and Diana for showing the grit and determination to come from behind and get the job done. but seriously Freddy boy LA Scored 4 runs in the 4th on 5 errors 3 of which were made at 3rd rountine ground balls and one back to the pitcher the fifth error was one of two errors made on the same play throwing the ball away. If you want to call that a rally then so be it but please state the facts I am sure LA would have much rather scored the runs on a hitting rally instead of getting an early christmas present and a gift from the gods. Sometimes I wonder which game you are watching. I'm looking forward to the next game between these two though Bonita seriously needs to make some defensive changes if its going to compete with the big girls.

bonita had a great start with a 2 run hr by amber b. score 4-0 by 3rd inning. cats fell apart in 4th plagued by errors at 3rd and 1st allowing la to tie up.they could never hold it together after that.ganos hr sealed bonitas fate.coach needs to look at his lineup. bats not working and who knows why but cats big hitter was on the bench.

Great job LA you ladies never gave up,came from behind and won! Great team effort! Victoria and Courtney you smashed the ball!! Everone came together and showed why your the 3 time League Champs! Your on your way to your fourth!!!

the LA coach knows he was lucky.
