UCLA will win tonight because ...
Tonight: UCLA vs. Virginia Commonwealth, 6:40 p.m., Channel 2. I'm covering a Bonita-Los Altos softball game tonight. Please girls, make it quick :)

President Obama fills out his bracket and picks UCLA to lose. What is he thinking?
"Everybody is saying we're going to lose the first game. Right there is enough motivation for myself." -- UCLA point guard Darren Collison.
President Obama filled out his bracket and picked the Bruins to lose...
I thought it was because we beat Oregon State twice," said Bruins freshman guard Jrue Holiday, referring to Oregon State coach Craig Robinson, Obama's brother-in-law. "
Then it was Collison's turn again ... "When you have the President of the United States going against you, and Dwyane Wade also said VCU was going to beat us. That's enough motivation. I don't know what it is, but that's enough right there.

What's wrong with cracking a joke here and there & making some picks? When our President has common ground with us why not expose that and show that he is not your average politician?
I for one love the fact that we can relate to our President when it comes to sports. He know's his stuff & give him a break he's been in office for what about 2 months & your breaking his b*lls already? Gimme a break!! Relax, have some brew and have some patience...

This is NOT the time to be cracking jokes or picking college teams. To some (Actually a lot) of people, it is downright insulting when the country is in the worse economic time of its life and its leader is cracking jokes. Nothing funny about what's going on or what's about to happen to this great country of ours.
Signed, 20+ year loyal Democrat.

Very unimpressed by UCLA's win last night. If they continue to play like this they will be out in the next round..
Lets see how the rest of the Pac-10 does today..

When has a country ever spent it's way out of an economic downturn? He was using this situation as a way to pass a ton of pork garbage that was put into the unstiumlus package that was passed. Enconomies usually go in 10 to 12 year cycles and even though this is bad it will eventually correct itself in the long run. The problem is everyones kids are now going to stuck with the tax bill for this garbage that was passed and we will be paying this off for years to come. And I see very little job creation in this bill. One day everyone is going to rue the day Hussian took office.

People always think "more is better". No "*smarter* is better. It's the "Lottle Principle"... if a "little" is good - a "lottle" must be better! If the President works on the economy and world issues 24/7 that will be good!? Out "work" the other guy? Or out smart them?
It's like the coaches that think they need to go year 'round, keep their kids from playing other sports, play a ton of summer games. It alll stems form that famous quote:
Somewhere someone is practicing. If you're not and you meet them in competition, all other things being equal, you will lose!
I read recently something different that makes you think
*Somewhere, someone is resting and recovering. That will revitalize them to the point when they take the court again, they will work harder, longer, and with more focus . And when and you meet THEM in competition, all other things being equal, you will lose!"
I think getting away for a while from your job - whatever it is - gives you that chance to come back "...harder, longer, and with more focus" so you can tackle the problems of the day... or the nation!

I actually like Obama's style. The man is a real man. He plays basketball with his college buddies, to this day. Admits he smoked a little pot during his 'unfocused youth", tells the country his wife is on his butt for smoking cigarettes, yet still sneaks one here and there during the campaign only to promise his wife after winning ...that he will stop to be a good example to the country...he said he try! He seems to be a genuine caring interactive Dad, he's daughters actually have manners, he's a self made man, his wife is probably smarter, more focused and probably his "best friend" yet stays out out of his business and finally he has the baskets to want the job at one of the most crucial economic times in US history short of the Depression. That's more than the Republicans did when they trotted out that do and say anything shell of of former hero and his hoochie inspiring, almost a brass pole dancing bazooka tongued femme fetale. Obama picking brackets differs from most former Presidents for one reason...he actually knows what he's doing when he's making his picks. One thing Obama has that few Presidents have had before him is the look and presence of greatness. Time will tell if he's Rushmore material or just another man who crumbles under the pressure of the trying to do too much too fast. In basketball terms Obama is either Jordan or Magic, Where Jordan made everyone around him "less" than him Magic made everyone around him better...actually "better" on both teams....maybe for the good of the country Obama does the same thing.
And I'm a 30 year card carrying Republican who voted for Obama.

Doesn't this guy have better things to do than this? I and a million other people are about to lose our jobs and he's talking about basketball.
