This has to be the most shocking result of the weekend. Unless the scores are wrong on MaxPreps, unranked South Hills softball beat the Tribune’s No. 2 Bonita 4-1, then in the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday, it was called after the teams tied 6-6 after seven innings. This confirms what some have told me about South Hills being one of the better hitting teams in the area with not just good bats, but young bats. Maybe I’ll have to check out the South Hills-Los Altos game on Wednesday. As for Bonita, this has to hurt their No. 4 ranking in Division III.
