Baseball: Sierra Vista and La Puente headed for an old-fashioned showdown in May

Sierra Vista did everything they could to interrupt my Lakers plans on Wednesday, using almost four hours to rally from a 5-2 deficit in the seventh inning to tie it 5-5, sending it into extra innings, like I needed more of that blistering sun. But it was worth it, the Dons completed the thrilling comeback with a 6-5 victory in 11 innings when Christian Huerta's game-winning double brought home Michael Lomeli for the game-winner. With La Puente's 15-5 win over Workman, the Montview League is beginning two shape into a two-team race. La Puente (10-5, 6-1) and Sierra Vista (12-5, 6-1) are tied for first and will meet in a home and home on May 5 and 7, which could very well determine the league champion.

If you buy a handbag online, you must remember that you can choose not only a shop at random, but choose a wholesaler that can offer reliable quality products.
Hey my stalker finally slipped.
Fred this "new" Frank C. actually had to register his name to get that symbol by his name right?
Dude are you that obsessed?
You actually REGISTERED...using my screen name????
Wow you're one sick puppy!
i like balls
Aztec Pride, Good take, and well stated.
JCAZ...SOUNDS LIKE DIMES ARE DROPPING?
Well Jcaz;
My first intention was to rip you, like several of these other post directed to you. Well I calmed down and used a little common sense. I try to be respectful when replying to a bloggers comment, and hopefully I wasn't to disrespectful towards you!
Jcaz, i'm sure you've seen my moniker in here before, and the one thing that I won't tolerate is the disrepectful of a school or a certain individual, because he goes to a certain school.Believe it or not, this game meant a lot for AZUSA, they were the league champs last year, and now the seasons over. AZUSA has lost to Sierra Vista twice and there chances of winning league is gone.
There's a great bound with certain parents and fans, when you've been watching all the baseball games the whole season. So when you came in here with your comment, you can obviously see, you hit a sore spot.
Jcaz, you don't want to become another (KING STUD)...
Hoof in mouth,
Ok, that was good, at least you made your point and you keep the name calling to just under a few words, but thats ok I suppose, what else could I ask for right ?
As for "Jack ass," Dude !!!
Ya got to work on that anger management thing a little bit more don't ya think ?
Toooooo funny !
jcaz,
As far as the famous uniform fiasco you speak of you only proved two points.
You don't know jack and you are an ass, hence the screen name jcaz.
Boy did Frank C hit the nail on the head. Jackass comes on here with an answer to Aztec Pride with his " stating the obvious and in the grand scheme of things " because he says so and then says that's a fact . Maybe in his eyes that's true but to others the Montview is the grand scheme and they are intitled to their opinion. Trying to say that what Azusa did this past season as a few good wins and some impressive performances are not at the same level as bigger programs out there is totally assinine. People often wonder why there is an opinion of bloggers from Amat as being arrogant and braggerts, well this fool is a poster boy for that theory.
P.S.
Commenting on your school strength is something you do with your heart because if you remember how many bloggers wrote us off this season in football and we kept blogging we would be fine and surprise everyone. Did we do that with facts . NO . We did it with heart and soul because of the pride we have in our school. The same goes for everyone out there. How dare you come on here and try to belittle anyone with your retoric bs. How's that for telling you where I think you're wrong and was that intelligent enough for you.
Hey, no problem Frank.
jcaz the man was insulted, said so and you slight him in your apology...and that's been your style is all I'm saying
still up Jcaz?
Wow, that was classic my friend.
You know, if you disagree with me, ok, no problem. But at least make it a point to tell me where you think I’m wrong instead of calling me a childish name
In other words, at least, make it sound reasonably intelligent.
Doing what you just did, only lets everyone in here know that you have nothing of value to say, and it just simply indicates the obvious fact that you are unable to articulate an intelligent, opposing position.
Look, my good friend, if have an issue with what I say, and you want to take issue with that then, ok no problem, but, you can do better than that, can't you ?
Jcaz = jac azz..what more needs to be said. Jac azz never played yet blogs about sports....'nuff said. classic little man syndrome.
Aztec Pride
Ok ok you win here.
Look AP, I guess we just have a failure to communicate here, because I’m not putting down the Mountview league, really I’m not.
All I’m saying is simply the obvious, and that is that in the grand scheme of things, most if not all of these programs in the Mountview are just not at the same level of some of the bigger programs out there. That’s a fact. I’m sorry.
Sure, there were a few good wins here and there, and at times some impressive performances, but you can't just sit here and argue with your heart, because remember, when you do, you can lose a whole lot of your money. In fact, that’s why Las Vegas is able to keep the lights on 24/7. They make allot of “Ka-Ching” off of folks who do right?
Look, this league is very entertaining, and the kids work their buts off. They play with their hearts, their souls, and with a whole lot of pride, even under extreme conditions (i.e. the La Puente coaching issue we had this year), but unfortunately, the facts speak for themselves and they speak for themselves in the number of Championships they have earned in the last few decades in all sports compared to some of the other leagues out there.
BTW, and for what it's worth, you forgot that La Puente beat Amat in boy’s soccer this season.
Jcaz;
I'm sorry buddy, but what your trying to say in your excuse is basically the same thing you said in your first comment. "The radar" come on now.
Okay maybe we don't have the BIG C.I.F titles, but as you can see on Fred's blog the Montview League players sometimes do step up and compete against the big schools! Look at last years season, Azusa beat Aquinas, and played St.Paul in the second round losing 8-6, and La Puente playing Bishop Amat and losing by 4 runs.
What about this season, La Puente winning Diamond Ranch, and did you know AZUSA beat Covina in baseball, yeah but you hardly here anybody saying anything about those accomplishments!
Jcaz, did you also know Fred reported the AZUSA, Duarte football game and what did AZUSA do to Duarte, 44-6. Jcaz just to let you know that game meant a lot to quite a few people for the city of AZUSA. Duarte had our number for the last several years, and winning that game was one of the biggest highlights of our season!
Fred also reported the AZUSA, Covina, C.I.F football game and look what the outcome of that was 27-7. They said the Montview league couldn't win the Valley Vista league, and by the way Fred, even had us losing also. Jcaz, if you would have been there , you have seen grown men jumping up down and hugging each other we were so happy!
So maybe the Montview League put itself on the (RADAR) by showing at times we can hang with BIG BOYS. So jcaz why don't you take a reality "pill" and watch what you say!
AZTEC PRIDE!
p.s.
By the way, here's something that might get you a little excited. Sierra Vista swept AZUSA today in baseball today 5-3, and knock- out the MONTVIEW LEAGUE CHAMPIONS today and AZUSA has no chance of winning LEAGUE.

Showdown???
Obviously you all missed the Don Lugo Tourney where LP beat Monrovia 6-1 and Diamond Ranch 7-5...putting LP in the Championship game against Don Lugo!!! Keep playing GREAT baseball LP!
Looking forward to facing Sierra Vista and Gladstone!!!
Wow !!
Talk about taking it the wrong way here. Look people, I did not intend to put down the Montview league or even my home town team of Sierra Vista in any way.
What I was simply saying here was that I was a bit surpried that Fred would sit in on a game that, for a lot of people on this blog, would'nt even be on thier radar screen.
The Dons are good, and yes I have been to more than a few home games at Sierria Vista including girls and boys soccer games and a few football games when Amat was'nt playing.
In fact, I have enven gone to a few Braves games including the now famous Northview uniform fiasco !
Anyway people, take a chill pill here and just agree with me that Fred does a great job in covering all the SGV teams ok
Yikes !!!
jcaz,
There you go again.Putting your foot in your mouth once more. The sad part is that bloggers associate you with Amat.Do us a favor keep your nose in that vogue magazine and please don't start up with the jokes. As much bad ink as you get you would think you would learn by now.
JCAZ;
Why don't you stick to your corny jokes. I can't believe you would come in here and slam Fred for watching AZUSA & Sierra Vista play a baseball game? You can't watch a better game then that, and I don't care what team your watching. When a team falls behind and comes back to tie the game in the last inning and eventually wins the game, that my friend is classic baseball.
So don't come in here snubbing your nose at us, because Fred was watching a Montview league game. Who do you think you are? Fred thanks for taking the time and coming out to watch the other leagues play.
JCAZ, here's a little tip for you, why don't you put down that VOGUE magazine and venture out to watch a so called sub-par team, you'll be suprised we can play the same type of baseball, without the BIG LEAGUE NAME!
AZUSA AZTECS.
jcaz here is some tissue. Wipe off your nose. Takeing nothing away from Fred, I think he does a great job also, but to suggest that sitting in on a tight montview league race is some sort of sacrifice. jcaz, you need to sit in. You will see some quality baseball at the top of the montview league. I will also go a step further and say it is something to commend these schools in the montview league. Most of these kids did not grow up playing travel ball. like "amat and south hills or whatever" but they can still compete with them.
I have to hand it to you Fred. It's not easy to keep track of every school in the SGV, and im sure that its even harder to keep up with all those teams that participate in such a wide ranging sports program starting from, Track to Girls basketball.
The fact that you actually went to a Dons game and stayed tot he end (missing part of the Lakers game) says volumes about the effort that you put into your craft.
You know, schools like Sierra Vista and maybe La Puente are perhaps, not one of the "star" studded programs of this valley, but there you were sitting in when you could have been at Amat or South Hills or whatever.
WOW.
Good job Fred.
Gabrielino 4 El Monte 2.
Calvin Chambers got the win in 6 1/3s (but rather shaky last 1 1/3) fanning nine batters for a total of 62 strikeouts on the year...a new Gabrielino single season record.
Rong Huang came in for the save.
K record previously held by Angel Cabral set the year before (with 60).
#14 needs to mix in an "old fashioned" lettuce cut- who is that, Mags O?
Nogales at Walnut will be the game to watch. Two great pitchers. Kerr of Walnut and Andrew Malcher something like that Nogales ace
Your right, I was looking at Sierra Vista's schedule, and playing La Puente is their last two league games.
Fred. It will be Gladstone and La Puente playing for the league title at the end of league. Look at the schedule.
