Breaking news: Brownfield hospitalized
Former Muir football and track coach Jim Brownfield, 80, has been hospitalized at Kaiser Sunset in Hollywood. The legendary coach might need heart surgery. As many of you know, Brownfield ran the Hall of Fame all star football game for many years, and is one of the greatest coaches in San Gabriel Valley history. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Brownfield family. We'll keep you posted when we learn more.

An outstanding high school and college athlete on his own, Jim has been a selfless leader in many other ways as well as coaching, where his records are unparalleled.
