Glendora advances to Arcadia championship
Glendora beat Nogales 5-3 this afternoon to advance to the championship game of the Arcadia baseball tournament on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Glendora will meet host Arcadia in the championship. The Apaches won with a 5-3 win over West Covina. Tartans pitcher Adam Plutko started and threw six shutout innings, losing a no-hitter in the fifth. Plutko was replaced in the seventh inning with a 5-0 lead, then had to watch and hold his breath as the Tartans held on for dear life to preserve the victory.
