Softball: Glendora wins, 3-1
Game Update: Glendora outfielder Brandi Andrews hit a mammoth two-run homer in the sixth inning, and pitcher Dana Waldusky did the rest, allowing just three hits as the Tartans held on for a 3-1 victory to improve to 6-2.

Bishop Amat catcher Jackie Carlin with the tag-out at home.
Today: With some schools on winter break and others in tournaments, this figures to be a fun non-league game today between two of the area's best teams. Common sense says to go with Glendora, but people keep telling me the Lancers, though young, are the most complete from top to bottom. Can't wait to watch and find out for myself.

I stopped by the game very briefly today and caught a piece of the 3rd and 4th innings and yes, just so you know, I asked this time if it was the varsity game ok.
Anyway, I saw that first run scored by Glendora and was left with the impression their team is indeed a very talented group, and that this squad is a team that is well coached.
There was a play where the Tartans tried to catch the Lancers sleeping by sending the runner at third home on an infield fly that went just foul.
It was a bang bang play, one in which the Lady Lancers were able to quickly turn around and tag the runner out at home, but I have to tell you that it was so fast and so furious that one could say that it was "baseball" in its purest sense of the word.
Man, it was absolutely pure adrenalin out there during that play!
BTW, one quick observation here and that is that Softball might be a girl’s game, but I have to tell you that these girls (on both sides) didn’t play like little girls out there today.
There are some very talented young ladies playing this sport, and because of that, it really is a tribute to the fine coaching and even to the commitment that these players (and coaches) undertake to produce such a fine product.
Talent truly exists out here in our local community.
Good job and good game to both teams.

Hey Fred are you going to cover this game??
I think this will be a well played game by two great softball programs..I Know BA has a very good Pitcher..I know they kept a very good LA team down for a few inning..I don't see her not doing the same to Glendora..BA has the sicks and speed to produce runs...Glendora hasn't played in a while..hope that doesn't hurt them..I know they are very talented group of girls and they proved it in the last couple of years..Good luck to both teams..
