All-Area publication dates

| | Comments (7) |

Many of you have asked the publication dates for the Tribune All-Area teams. This is tentative, but if everything runs as scheduled, these are the dates:

Boy/Girl athlete of the year, June 23
Baseball, June 24
Softball, June 25
Boys Tennis, June 26
Boys Track, June 30
Girls Track, July 1
Boys Swimming, July 2
Girls Swimming, July 3

LAST CHANCE FOR PICTURES: Finally, almost all of you have taken your pictures, but some we have not been able to track down through the schools. So, without mentioning the sports, those athletes include: Taylor Herrera (Damien), Uchechi Anunkor (Charter Oak), Sarah Barnum (St. Lucy's), Alexis Brown (St. Lucy's), Marissa Horton (St. Lucy's), Amber Pezzola (Bonita), David Scheibe (Bonita), Josen Corpuz (Walnut), Maiki Kitagawa (Diamond Bar). We will have a final make-up day for pictures on Wednesday, June 17 at the Tribune office between 2-3 p.m. I'm posting it here to make every effort to get a hold of these athletes, and if you're reading this and know one of the athletes, please let them know. Those mentioned can email me for more information ... fred.robledo@sgvn.com

So the sports that finished first get done last? Thanks Fred for making Swim an afterthought. At least its an olympic event. I guess I don't need to buy the paper anyway as you have overlooked our team as usual.

There was no mention of the San Antonio League Track MVP, Candace Williams. A freshman who won the girls 100, 200, a member of the first place South Hills girls relay team for the 4x100 and 4x400. Her accomplishments should be recognized.

Maiki Kitagawa is in Japan and I believe he'll be attending college there, so he might not come back.

Fred can you deliver on a Bishop Amat Football Breakdown early. Whats going on in Lancertown? any interviews with Coach Hagerty? Is your weekly Amat Breakdown going to be in effect this year?

Great choice for girl athlete of the year, you did your homework. I know it wasn't easy though.

Los Altos has a volleyball team? Would have never known. Nice 50's look.
