Northview Baseball hosting Australian Friendly
The Northview High School baseball team will host the Australia Expos in a three-game Goodwill Series beginning Saturday. There are four teams consisting of a Northview older and younger team, and an Australian older and younger team. All games are at Northview High School; Saturday (10 a.m., 12:30 p.m.); Sunday (Noon, 2:30 p.m.), Tuesday (1 p.m. at 4 p.m.). The Australia Expos are celebrating their 20th consecutive year touring California and playing games. Covina Mayor Kevin Stapleton will officially welcome the Australian team on Saturday morning. "I'm still learning on the protocol and what is customary when you host a foreign team, but we're excited for the weekend." Northview coach Darren Murphy said.

I remember the game Fred vs. Monrovia. Northview gave Eddie Mac from Monrovia his first loss in two years on a squeeze play in the bottom of the 7th if I remember right. Was a game for the ages.
As for the "friendly" sounds like fun, I think I'll head out and see the Aussies play ball.
