Breaking News: Former South Hills and Mt. SAC QB Nick Lamaison goes from the Mountain to the Rocky Top of Big Time Tennessee

Above: Mt. SAC's Nick Lamaison will now be throwing passes for Tennessee.

I just talked to former South Hills High School quarterback Nick Lamaison, who after earning All-America honors for Mt. San Antonio College last year signed with the University of Tennessee.
Lamaison, who threw for 3,479 yards and 36 TDs last season in leading the Mounties to their second consecutive California Community College Athletic Association state championship game, will enroll at Tennessee in the fall and compete for the starting job in preseason practice.
"I'm pretty excited," Lamaison said. "I feel real fortunate to have this great opportunity. I met the entire Tennessee family, which includes the coaches and players, and I'm just excited to be going there."

How can no South Hills people be talking about this? A California kid is going to play QB in the SEC, and no one even throws out a courtesy "way to go Nicky" shout out....tough crowd....
