Not your daddy's Rose Bowl

Above: Will the masses still flock to Pasadena in 2011?

What's your take on a Rose Bow matchup between say USC vs. Boise State?
Not possible?
Well, under a new provision, that can be invoked once between 2011-14, the Rose Bowl would be required to invite a non-BCS conference team like Boise State, if that team is in the top 12 of the final BCS standings and either the Pac-10 champ or Big Ten winner is in the national title game.
Here's the story I wrote in today's paper about the new BCS provision.

USC-Boise St=not so bad.
Penn St-Boise St=not much of a draw
Wish it was a compromise and they just said if a BIG TEN team is in title game-invite non-BCS school. Then we'd always have a regional team in the Rose Bowl.
