i agree, lets put this to rest.as far as
(fire with fire), i do understand that.i was thinking here we are from the 2 most decorated schools in the valley and here we are deffending ourselves.doesnt make much sense, after saying that, that is the past , now you probbably have 2 programs ahead of you in the recent years and we have, oh, about 15-20 ahead of us.

First off I do know there are bad AMAT bloggers but I believe those are of the amat nation mentality and there are a few imposters who like to get the natives restless. The bloggers I speak of as true usually have some form of AMAT in their screen name because we are a proud bunch and very proud of our school. The bandwagon comment was meant to be a dig because I thought it was out of your character to come behind someones post and add insult to injury persay so sometimes you fight fire with fire. (Bad choice of phrasing in these times but it fits.)You mainly come on here with your own posts not related to anyone else's post just your point of view on the thread. I don't think you should judge me based on that one post for all time, consider the reason I posted it. I respect all the programs in the SGV as I have stated many times so we do think alike when it comes to that. The one thing that bothers me is the talking down comment by you. I don't recall where someone with an AMAT affiliated screen name has done that . If I have done that to you I apologize because it wasn't my intent. Hopefully this mends the fence because this blog needs some respect to fellow bloggers . Fun is fun but at one time or another all of us have gotten carried away when defending our loyalty to our schools but some have gone on personal attacks and that is just not right. In closing I wish your beloved LA good luck and believe it or not I hope they come back to the top because I would love to see that AMAT vs LA game someday and I am sure you would too.

How funny you come on here saying we lack class. My reply was geared towards your responce to !!!!!! post on the AMAT losers and us not blasting CO on them being ranked.You my friend then jump on the bandwagon and say they (AMAT) can't handle it and we were saying CO could not recognition outside the SGV and finish it with guess they (AMAT) were wrong.Now to me that was a total lack of class . I only mentioned to BB&G that you were an LA man because I got the sense he thought you were a CO backer which he did . Why does that show a lack of class .We do have a mutual respect for CO which you see in many posts both by us and them. You on the other hand have a hate for AMAT and you have many times posted things about us before. As a matter of fact on the Super 33 thread you mentioned something to the effect that we talk down to people and I replied to you on those thoughts but you never came back with an answer.You then say we are boasting of a 7-4 record and a CIF berth . Last time I checked 7-4 is a winning record and you are correct that is not what we expect from us because of the tradition and the higher standard to which we are held by ourselves, you and others but you have to start somewhere on the road back and that is a pretty good start. We were the first to admit we were not very good although we had the talent and heading in the wrong direction during the Verti era and as a matter of fact the bloggers were loving all the bickering back and forth between us so I don't know what you mean when you write we didn't admit we were down. We may not have been as down as LA is but I think we are headed in the right direction but again we have a very tough season ahead of us so let's see what happens. Contrary to what you think what is good for the SGV is good for AMAT and what is good for AMAT is good for the SGV because we are all in this together. Our end of the deal is to rep the SGV in the PAC -5 and we are trying our damndest to live up to it and CO is defintely living up to their end of it .How about you just worry that LA starts to live up to their end of the deal .

Unless what you've written in totally misunderstood, I'm not the only one who read it wrong. 73 and FYC also read the same thing I did I'll give you the opportunity to explain yourself because we read it differently.

you usually are the one with most common sense of you guys, then you say dont worry he is an la man, what kind of class is that? bandwagon? im on no bandwagon, we hate to lose to co, that is the game we mark on our calender every year, but a spade is a spade, they are the better team in the valley the last few years,as far as la being down,i have stated that many times, were bad, not very good, have a long way to go, a lot of teams are better than us in the valley,that my buddy is the difference from myself and you two, i admit it , you guys wont.now you realy come in here and boast about 7-4, third in your league, losing forst round of cif. thats not just the way amat used to be or think.and you know that,

Don't worry about rgd2626 because he is a LA man and since his team has had nothing to speak of these past 2 years and maybe for years to come he needs to jump on some winning wagon hence the jumping on the CO trail. He knows he can't say anything about LA vs AMAT so he goes to the next desperate measure. Personally I think it's great that another SGV team is ranked and recognized because it makes us all stronger . rgd2626 by the way how did your beloved la wind up last year ? To remind you we were 7-4 with a CIF berth.

I'm a huge Gano fan and I do admire greatly what BA does on the field so maybe someone could take a crack at this very honest question:

"What would Gano have accomplished given the reigns of Bishop Amat during the past 10 years?"

Anyone want to take a crack? Just try and be respectful and give some thought that makes football sense. Gano vs. Rollinson, Grady, Lara ect ect ect....this should be very very interesting.

The past 14 years? Gee, aren't you the same people who jump on us for bringing up the past in the first place? If you want to do that, I can go back even further but I won't. Enjoy the spolight while you can, there is a fine line between fame and obscurity.
Oh, and before you say anything about us not being in the spotligt, that's OK, we are a recognized brand name and always get the constant attention regardless. Just look at the blog threads, this is 2 days old and only has 18 posts so far where as anything to do with us runs into double triple digits in the same amount of time.

Anyway, you're on the edge right now, try to improve on it or you'll be out of the spotlight as usual. Besides it's where you end up in the season as opposed to where you start out. Good luck.

CO in the house. I cant wait until September 25th. CO host Rancho and it will be a battle. It will be a war with Rancho returning there top rated QB and tight end. Rancho lost 26 seniors and are returning 31 jrs from last years team. Co is returning 33 jrs from last years team. Out of 18 lineman they have 16 that are JR's and SR's. Thats enough to protect Thropay or Santiago. We also got good hands in Dennis Rufus, he'll catch anything.

You're right about Quezada, but Salinas left the team to concentrate on his baseball career. There are other playmakers (too many to name) on the team that will help ease the graduation of some key players.

There is a lot of talent in the SGV this year, and it is going to be awesome as far as overall talent in the LA County area as well, while the Inland Empire features some top players, such as Jordon James (Sr.RB/Corona), and many others. With Lakewood QB Jesse Scroggins, Oaks Christian QB Nick Montana, and several other BCS recruits, this high school football season is going to be amazing in the SoCal Region!

It seems quite possible that some of these games scheduled for Friday night might be cancelled due to the fires. The Muir/DR game is certainly in doubt. The evacuation center in Altadena is one block from Muir's field.

Very unfortunate, but not NEARLY as bad as those who are in danger. We're praying for all of the families in harms way.
