Hey Diamond Ranch, the Westside is talking ...

"We're aiming for heads," -- says an unidentified Muir player...this according to the Star-News' Miguel Melendez, who continues to pump up next week's Muir-Diamond Ranch showdown... Read on...

Says Miguel: Those are the words of a Muir football player when asked if the Mustangs are seeking redemption when they host Diamond Ranch next Friday at 7. There are posters all over Muir's campus promoting the school's new football field, which is generating buzz around campus with students who will attend their first game just to see their team play on a new field. Muir will try to do what it couldn't do in the first round of the Southeast Division playoffs. We'll see how the Mustangs fare against the runner-up. All year long, a certain D-Ranch assistant coach has taken friendly jabs at Muir coach Ken Howard. It's time to put that to rest, Kenny. The Mustangs won at Diamond Ranch last year in the season opener but faltered in the playoffs. Muir will protect its home field and reclaim SGV supremacy.

NO DOUBT!

Dranchhh gets this year's "Darwin Award."

First, he's "special" because he put his selfish football dreams ahead of Junior's academic future.

Second, what kind of idiot sends his kid to a Bishop Amat camp dressed in a Diamond Ranch Football jersey. OF COURSE he was going to get an ear full numbnuts! HELLO? Maybe he has not noticed how seriously BA takes football. What do people think would happen to the kid in a Los Altos jersey catching passes at a DR Camp?

So at Amat's H&H camp, they make his son a CB rather an a RB. So Dad debates for months and then finally decides he can afford to waste $1000 and pulls his son from Amat. Is this dude for real?

You are a dumbass for pulling your kid out of Bishop Amat because they made him a CB at some bullshit football camp...you moron.

Why should Diamond Ranch have beef with Muir, they're both SGV schools.

sgvfootballfan,

First you guys complain that no other schools get there 5 minutes of fame, no your complaning to fred why he even posted something about another school besides CO SH BA. Cut Fred some slack, and just enjoy the post and comment with us football junkies.

Why do care about this game anyway!!!! you never give DR any positive ink the only schools you like to talk about are the cheaters SH,CO and BA all those schools that steal kids from other schools in the valley. Fred i think you were hit in your head to many times buy that soccer ball when you were a kid.

Yo "(D)Ranch Dressing",

This post really knocked the jay z out of you. Let me clarify, I am a CO fan baby, lets get that straight once and for all. As far as the quote i got that from the melendez blog partnaaaaa.

SGV Fooseball,

(D)Ranch Dressing.....SHUT UP!! BA, again you guys are not a threat, TRUST ME. I have sat in on several of your practices. GARBAGE, I say. Our only competitors will be CO, Colony and Muir.

All of you BA people are sure jumping the balls of CO, am I missing something here?? Everytime I look up you guys are talking about how good CO is. I personally think yall scurred!!! Lets keep it 100, there is a reason you guys havent scheduled them when they have called you out 2 years straight. Like I said there are only 2 or 3 teams that can comptete with CO and DR in one of them.

As for Muir, well they have a new field which we will break in for them. We will let them enjoy the next week of freedom. We appreciate Muir and we are looking towards a high tempo game in which Roddy will most likely display this new quick no huddle offense. I hope they are conditioned. There is no Ruben Thomas anymore. He was our main issue last year. He is and was an exceptional athlete and we had not seen an athlete of his caliber. With no #4 and #23 we will have to see!! Good Luck JM

Alright Fred, don't mistake Miguel's opinion for the entire Westside. Miguel is my BOY, but I think that headline was created to reel in some posts. Anyhow, here's what I posted on the same thread over on the PSN board:

""Aiming for heads," as in the HEADS half of the coin in the pre-game coin flip. Tone it down fellas, and leave ALL the sh** talking to old blowhards like myself!

I'm excited for this game! I need to hurry up and catch a practice so that I can give a more thorough and educated prognostication. Wait, didn't I criticize Miguel for the same thing? Lol! Hey, I ain't gettin' paid the big bucks though! Right, Miguel?"

Muir has tons of talent in their junior and sophomore classes, and will be starting a LOT of underclassmen this year, including 4 juniors on the line I believe. We ought to be STRONG this year, but depth will be an issue. Next year's team is going to be DAMN GOOD.

Not sure about DR, but my boy DRanchhhh says they'll be better than fine. I hope so, because I REALLY like Layton and what he does for that program, and it's always great to play good teams early on in the season. ONE MORE WEEK! Damnit, I can't wait!

If the "(D)Ranch Dressing" quoting melendez, doesnt put up some good numbers against muir, they will have a long road ahead, until they get to week 6 against BA. Then its put up or shutup with them. Then they get hit by CO. I wonder what "(D)Ranch Dressing" is going to say when they lose to BA and CO.
