South Hills football scrimmage moved; I have a plan for all games in jeopardy

South Hills was scheduled to host Corona Centennial in a scrimmage on Friday night at Covina District field, but that game has been moved to Corona Centennial high on Friday because of the poor air quality. They will kick-off at 7.

The plan: Using Mt. SAC, Cal State Fullerton or anywhere air quality is reasonable enough, schedule three to four games at one venue on Saturday. Picture a Saturday lineup at Mt. SAC kicking off with Western Christian vs. Gladstone, followed by Azusa-Garey, then heavyweights fill the late afternoon and evening, Gardena vs. Charter Oak, followed by Muir-Diamond Ranch. Four games, a great day for area fans. Hey, it’s a thought. There are many games in limbo at the moment, administrators are looking for alternate venues, Saturday games or if it comes to it, cancellation. We will keep you posted.
