Tribskin Pick’em, your predictions and ours … Fasten your seat belts, Rancho Cucamonga at Charter Oak, and Bishop Amat at Damien

Steve and I will go head-to-head throughout the season. Here is our updated records on the Tribskin Pick’em thread.

Robledo: Last week/Total: 19-3/48-13
Ramirez: Last week/Total: 16-6/42-19

Last Week: Steve and I both missed Ontario Christian over Azusa and Glenn over Wilson, and my third loss was picking Diamond Ranch over Elsinore. Steve made a lot of other mistakes, taking Rosemead over Monrovia, La Puente over Baldwin park, Gladstone over Bosco Tech and Bonita over Santa Fe.

This week: This is one of the most exciting nonleague weekends of the season. Thursday night South Hills takes on once-mighty Tesoro at the District. Tesoro is 1-2 and Calpreps even predicts the Huskies will win, but until the Huskies can show consistency on offense, I don’t see it. Rancho Cucamonga visits Charter Oak on Friday live on Fox Sports. It doesn’t get any better than this, two 3-0 teams and defending divisional champions. Both are 16-0-1 over the last two years, with their only tie against each other. Take the Chargers at home, after a weak opening week, they look like the Chargers of old. We will see their best come Friday. Bishop Amat at Damien is another classic, and this time, I’m taking the Spartans in an upset. I was not that impressed with Bishop Amat against West Covina, they appeared small on the D-Line, and the Spartans are feeling good after a blowout over Claremont. San Dimas at Monrovia also has become huge. Both are 3-0 and both have made it look easy. It’s a Mid-Valley showdown and don’t be surprised if they meet again in the playoffs. I’m taking the Saints, they fooled me a couple times and won’t do it again. Steve will update with his predictions later.
