Girls Volleyball Top 10: Tartans zoom to the top

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TOP 10
1. Glendora (4-0)
The Tartans have looked impressive early on, and that includes a four-game win over previously No. 2 Walnut. Senior Valerie Brain came up huge against the Mustangs with 28 kills and nine blocks. Glendora closes out the nonleague season against Hart on Wednesday before opening up Sierra League play against Diamond Bar.
2. Bonita (5-3)
The Bearcats feature a solid triple threat in hitters Allie LaPierre and Katie Kirby and setter Ashley Maxfeldt. They survived a scare against San Dimas early before sweeping the rival Saints. But they followed it up by being swept at Troy, which is ranked No. 3 in Division 2-A.
3. South Hills (4-1)
The Huskies have looked good with the sister tandem of Melinda and Marissa Gomez, who are both capable of double-digit attack numbers. They will be tested when they travel to St. Lucy's on Thursday.
4. Walnut (3-2)
The Mustangs drop a bit after losing in four to Glendora, but this is still a solid team. Hitter Samantha Sheller has lived up to expectations early on.
5. Los Altos (9-2)
The Conquerors appear to be back. They swept St. Lucy's two weeks ago, battled Walnut before losing five games last week, then followed up by taking the Mayfair Tournament.
6. St. Lucy's (8-3)
The Regents appear to have settled into the season following up the loss at Los Altos with wins over Rosary and Alta Loma. We will find out more when they face South Hills this week.
7. San Dimas (5-2)
The Saints looked very solid in jumping out to a lead against Bonita. And although they dropped in three games, this is still a solid team. They get a test Wednesday against Walnut.
8. Diamond Bar (6-6)
The Brahmas, also a youthful, group are holding their own, but will need to step up once Sierra League play starts.
9. Ganesha (11-3).
The Giants have looked like their mascot early on, but should get a test from San Dimas in the Valle Vista League. They face Rowland today.
10. Gladstone (12-5)
The Gladiators are the team to beat in the Montview League and are off to a solid start. They had a solid weekend up north at the Carpinteria.

To Brahma93:
St. Lucy's has not played Los Osos or Rancho Cucamonga. Good Luck in season!
CIF Polls:
For DIV II: St. Lucy's-6th, Glendora-7th, Walnut-9th, South Hills-10th. Ayala and Bishop Amat are honorable mentions. (That's awesome for our local kids!!!)
For DIV III-AA-Bonita is 2nd and Los Altos is honorable mention.
For DIV III-A Ganesha is ranked 5th. Way to go GHigh.
Volleyball fan, what are you talking about Diamond Bar hurting?? They are hurting no worse than anybody else...
F.Y.I, Diamond Bar was the only team out of the 3 valley teams to play Rancho and Los Osos to take both teams to 4 sets, if im correct, Walnut was swept in 3, Los Altos was swept in 3, and St .Lucys was also swept(however i give them slack since they are a Sierra league memeber), so whats with all the calling out??
So why isnt gomez all over the papers this year???
Is it because her setter and defensive machines are gone???? Is it that she is struggling in the outside (as I read below)? Or is she mentaly checking out from VBALL for BBALL. Is her sister getting more of the attention, more sets?
Whats the scoop?
Last year she was all over the papers..........
The only reason why I mention or even care about Claremont, Rancho, Upland, Los Osos, is because they have terrorised SGV. Los Osos Spanked Los Altos, but didnt stop there, they also spanked Bonita. I though it was going to help measure bonita vs los altos game, it did... its going to be a fight to the finish.
As for the people that where bring up St. Josephs.... I looked at there record and they are spanking as well.
Here is my Take on the Bonita vs. Los Altos Game.
Bonita with the young setter will have a tough time setting the middles. If la pierre gets clamped and blocked a few times by the los altos height its going to be a long night. However if bonita serves Los Altos hard and takes them out of thier rythm, los altos much like last year will have a long night of passing issues. Los Altos matches up to bonita very well, los altos has good middles and bonita has a decent middle (young), as for the setter, los altos has a little more experienced setters but in the outside, they are toe to toe. Los Altos will have to serve hard, block hard, and play tought defense, as they are the contender...
Ayala vs. St Lucy's - Both teams are in rebuilding mode, but Ayala has a few stong players left that will cause some issues from St. Lucy's. Ayala plays with intimidating energy that might overwhelm the youth of St. Lucy's. If I had to bet on this game.... because of what I posted in the above sentence I would place my bet on Ayala. However, on paper they match up well.. so if St. Lucy's keeps up... IT WILL BE A MEMORABLE one.
South Hills is cruising this week.LUCKY!!!!
Signing Off..
BLAH BLAH BLAH!
I agree with vbalfan 2. I haven't seen anyone bad mouthing coaches/players/parents. It looks like that Volleyball Fan was creating issues the moment they entered blah/blah/blah. Why? Friendly banter on blogs is not drama and that may be the point Seriously volleyball was making. Because in football no one is calling the banter drama but because this is girls volleyball it is? Lighten up.. Inhale/Exhale.
This year has been fun banter between schools and that is the goal of this thread, right? The funny thing is most of the people bantering are friends and their kids play together in club.
Los Osos and Rancho will be a big game. SL vs. Glendora and Bonita vs. LA will also be MUST see games.
As for Gomez and LaPierre, they are amazing athletes. Went to the SL/South Hills game and Gomez was OH for the first game or two then transitioned to MH. SL's middle did a good job of covering the net that game. Bonita will get it together. LaPierre is doing her job. The team is just cementing together.
It is INTERESTING because those teams have destroyed our SGV teams. Im a fan of good volleyball wherever it is played. I live in SGV so those are the teams I primarily follow. I appreciate your post and your effort to stir the pot. I disagree that our blog needs to read like the football blog in order to be taken seriously. Bad mouthing opponents, players, coaches and other parents hardly makes volleyball more cool and appealing.
That would be REALLY interesting if we were reading the Daily Bulletin but we aren't; it's the SGV so Go back.
The games of the week are LA vs. Bonita and
SL vs. Glendora.
To Volleyball fan: Perhaps you should read the football blogs. If the girls sports are to be taken seriously then this is part of it. This isn't rec ball. We aren't here to make everyone feel good.
Now go back and blog on Daily Bulletin Hater where someone might care.
I know there are some big games on Thursday of this week, are there any big ones on Tuesday?
Regarding the movement of those girls to the outside... If the girls are capable(and both of those listed are) it will increase their touches during the course of a match. Both those girls are the strongest hitters on their teams, why not get them the ball more. I like it.
And I like the drama, as long as it doesn't get ugly like the last couple of years with the SL parents putting names on here of underperforming players and bad mouthing coaches. So far I think this year has been good, everyone is supporting their teams positively, and believes their team is the one to beat. Nothing wrong with that.
BLAH BLAH BLAH....
Los Altos won in three, it is what it is... Save the Drama for next year when they play again!!!
Los Altos is Playing better!
St Lucys is ALSO Playing better!!!
Good For them!
Now Los Altos get focused on Bonita and South Hills games! St Lucys get focused Glendora and Ayala.
Both teams have better things to worry about now!
Parents STOP THE DRAMA, as players read this!
As for Clarmont and upland.. THEY ARE WEAK compared to Rancho and Los Osos, at least this year!
This week
Rancho vs. Clarmont Tuesday
Rancho vs. Los Osos Thursday
So my qustion of the day is ...
Who is having more a of tough time Gomez or La Pierre in the outside.
Both seem uncomfortable with their new positions.
Both Bonita and South hills seem a little weak do to the change....
Tough call for the coaches as they have moved to a modern west coast offense aka SET THE OUT SIDES ALL DAY LONG!....
One of the biggest reason is that they have younger setters and its tough to set quick stuff.... but does it hurt you in the long run????
LA also lost to St. Josephs/Lakewood. Please LA fan let us know how good they are and then let us know what team this year beat them.
How long is LA going to continue to relive one game? Maybe the focus should be on the future.
As for LA being in fear; was lost two years ago?? What? Are you a fan of LA? Why would you say that? LA beat SL in 2007, SL beat LA last year and LA beat SL in 2009. It really has gone back and forth.
As for coaches, Los Osos has a great coach and SL did not release this coach. He left to be a teacher at Colony High School and was promised a Varsity coaching gig that fell through. There is no bad blood and he is wished all the success.
As for SL's current coach, he started last year and won league and went to the quarter finals. We are currently 10-3 against ranked teams and there has been no easy road. The team consist of 1 senior, 4 juniors, 6 sophomores and 1 freshmen. This is actually a rebuilding year.
Take a moment to process that...
Good points LA fan and Bishop Amat fan.
Los Osos is very good no denying that, but I think Rancho beats them and wins that league this year. It will also be interesting if Claremont can beat Upland. Upland would finish 4th and out of the playoffs for the first time in about 20 years or so, maybe longer.
As an LA fan speaking...Los Osos is definitely is the toughest inland team plus they have a respectable and experienced coaching staff that used to coach at St. Lucys that took them to CIF semi final twice in 2005 and 2006. Back then with the current Los Osos coaches, St.Lucy used to spanked Los Altos in 3 or 4 games. But the last 2 years, the fear of playing against St. Lucys from our kids is not there anymore. LA players should play against other teams outside the area or teams from higher divisions at the same intensity as they did against St.Lucys this year. But first of all, we must focus on each league game coming up.
Bishop Amat has played top notch teams so I think they would beat the bottom 3. They lost to South Hills in 5!!!!
Bishop Amat can beat Ganesha, Diamond Bar, San Dimas and Gladstone.
I actually think the Ganesha can beat Diamond Bar if they played against each other.
Diamond bar is hurting.... its not the coaching... its not the players.... its just a rebuilding year.....
GHigh,
Can you at least post the scores for the top teams in your JV tournament? Ganesha, Bonita, Charter Oak, San Dimas? It is always nice to see how the lower levels of these programs are doing.
Thanks and good luck against Northview on Tuesday. That will be a battle and should be the game of the week!
Too tired to report all scores:
Ganesha JV Tournament
16 Teams
1st Place:Bonita
2nd Place:Charter Oak
3rd Place:Ganesha
4th Place:Crescenta Valley
5th Place:San Dimas
6th Place:Diamond Ranch
FYI-I will post the scores of Ganesha's JV tourney at the end of the day. Good luck to all in league-I know we have our hands full.
Great insight VolleyballFan
Nice win Walnut. Claremont is a tough team. I believe they just beat Bonita recently.
After this weeks games, here is how I see the rankings going into next week.
1. Glendora- has the big win over Walnut but hasn't played any other local teams....yet.
2. Walnut- beat LA, San Dimas and Claremont
3. LA-big game vs Bonita next week
4. St.Lucy's-on the rise with a victory over S.Hills, next up Sierra league.
5. S.Hills-lost a tough one to SL, still have 2 against LA and Walnut.
6. Bonita-tough to drop them this far but they have lost 3 straight matches.
7. Diamond Bar- will have to battle to finish in top 3 in Sierra league
8. Ganesha-impressive non league record, San Dimas may be only threat.
9. San Dimas-swept by Bonita and Walnut
10. Bishop Amat/Gladstone-take your pick
I would have to say 1-6 are interchangeable and I would expect a lot of movement in the next couple of weeks.
Good luck in league.
Walnut beat Claremont in 3 tonight.
St.Lucys<LA<Walnut<Glendora
none of which have played Bonita yet. Looks like you guys moved up to number 5 next week.
I like volleyball smack talk.
vblfan2,
thanks for the reminder. By the way, 25-16,25-18, 25-17 was LA's score against Los Osos.
16-25 18-25 17-25
LA fans-those were your scores when you got swept by Los Osos this last Tuesday night.
Oh what is that old saying about glass houses...
15-25, 21-25, 19-25.
SL fans-those were your scores when you got swept by LA.
Congrats on the win against SH. You are now 1-1 in games against local teams.
WHY DO MYSPACE OR FACE BOOK, when you have the San Gabriel tribunes volleyball blogs.
priceless. still laughing. finally someone who understands "strength of field"!!! ROAR!!!!!
As said before:
Los Osos is huge and playing great!!
Los Osos beat Bonita in 3, much like how they beat Los Altos. 25-19, 25-17, 25-21.
They are in a level of their own!!!
Dont Bad talk Bonita or Los Altos, both teams are good, but what can I say LOS OSOS is just better.
Its nice to see that the top local teams are beating up on each other.... Unfortnately parents forget about sportsmanship via BLOGS from time to time.
Here is what I see.....
St. Lucy's has generation of youth to COME.. CLUB CLUB and MORE CLUB! They might be having there ups and downs this year but its NORMAL!
Los Altos- Has improved in passing and their all around play... can they improve, MOST DEFINATELY. Lets hope they do!
Bonita - Is depending on 1 or 2 players the rest are like st. lucy's YOUNG! Moving La Piere to the outside is a 50/50 move depending on the middle attack from the other side of the net. Tough decisions for the coach.......
South Hills - Well what can I say.... THEY LOST 9 players that passed NAILS last year. Along with an awsome setter. South Hills is also struggling with a good but young setter and movment of the sisters.
Walnut... - I think or at least thought it was their year.... who knows....
Glendora - I have yet to see.
Bishop Amat - finaly is playing good ball, they even have a little height. Lets see what happens when they play st. paul and St. Josephs.
La Puente- crickets.....
Ganesha - KEEPS WINNING!!! club ball is paying off, and maybe next year they might join the Ayala tourney... where most of the teams above will be.
Ayala - Looks good! even with its youth.. Club and tons of coaches is working for them.
Diamond Bar - Wow what happened to them... catch me on the rebound.......the rebound......
FRED I just did your job!
I guess i should also help you out with giving you the games of the weeks starting today (you are welcome fred).
Tonight :

Thursday:
ST. Lucy's vs. Glendora
Bonita vs. Los Altos
FRED and the super respectful nonathletic Blogging crew have great weekend. (sorry I couldnt resist)
GOOD LUCK to all you young athletes, coaches and parents this weekend in your tournament.
For the sake of vbwatcher and everyone else that needs some drama to get this blog going, here you go. Everyone else, please disregard...
St. Lucy's is the best! No one else compares! We are going to roll through league and CIF! We will smash anyone who dares cross our court!!!
By the way, we haven't won a couple of games, we have won 10 games against mostly quality opponents!
There is no cerp, cerp, cerp. Thats a lion roaring! Watch out!!!
Now back to our regular blogging...
Did Bonita lose to Los Osos?
And Ayala beat Upland last night in 3 games too...anyone got their scores?
I was really surprised that the Rowland game was covered, but I guess it's because it was a Tuesday night game. The paper has a hard time covering any Thursday or Friday games because of football. As far as the scores go, that's the coaches job to call in. Still, St. Lucy's, San Dimas, Diamond Ranch, and Bonita get coverage in both the Daily Bulletin and the Tribune (oh, I guess Ganesha gets that now too) so we are the priviliged bunch.
I'm sure St. Lucy's will get lots of coverage in league because your league is probably the most exciting and competitive from top to bottom. Good job Regents.
Bonita was swept by Los Osos. They have a lost a few in a row heading into league play.
Next weeks big games
LA-Bonita
SL-Glendora
I think both of those are next Thursday.
Thanks vbl and you made a lot of good points. It would have been nice to see something or have the girls profiled but it's all good.
I am so proud of the girls. We really covered it all the way across the court. Callen did an amazing job blocking last night, Macy's serving and setting, Dalton and Warmington's kills, I could go on and on.
We are really growing as a team. Players/Coaches/Parents. Its a great journey so far.
How will SL continue to get shorted? Is any ranking other than number 1 a short?
Congratulations to St. Lucy's. That is a big win and will be a great lead in to league play next week. I would have to say you are the front runners now.
It is interesting the paper decided to cover the Rowland-Ganesha game as their game of the week. Kudos to G High for generating interest for his team, but I would think the St. Lucy's-South Hills game would be the biggest game at least rankings wise. In defense of the paper I think they are stretched wafer thin in the prep sports department and with the game being on a Thursday night they were probably all covering the local football teams. Im sure all the big leagues games will be covered. At least lets hope so.
St. Lucy's vs. South Hills was easily the game of the week and nothing is written online or the newspaper. Not even the small print of the newspaper where it list the scores for the different leagues. That's pretty disappointing.
SGV can take the time to write how St. Lucy's lost one game (in the beginning of the season) but we are now 10-3 (and not one article or anything.)
I am sure if the Gomez sisters would have had another good night than that would make the press but for some reason it seems like St. Lucy's is getting slighted on this deal. The athletes on this team continue to be overlooked.
Great game St. Lucy's. The frontline of St. Lucy's looked amazing.
St. Lucy's beat South Hills in 5. It was a weird game. St. Lucy's won the 1st 25-15, lost the second 22-25, won the 3rd 25-14, lost the 4th 26-24 and won the 5th game 15-9.
St. Lucy's did an amazing job and did not disappoint with being a well rounded team. Noteables were Megan Callen who dominated the net and took South Hills big hitters out of the game and Deanna Dalton did a fantastic job getting the kills. Young, Macy. SiFuentes and Warmington were all impressive as well. The coach has to be excited over his young team.
I didn't see any reporters at the game which is unfortunate as this was one of the bigger games. Especially since St. Lucy's and South Hills were neck and neck in rankings for CIF.
This should shake up the SGV rankings as well. Somehow, I feel SL will continue to get shorted. Good job Regents...A game worth going too.
We mainly play in tournaments and our new league has 8 teams. Glendora I believe has also done the same, except as far as Maxpreps goes they aren't reporting all of their scores. 2 of 3 tournament games count on their record, as well as best of five, yet they are 4-0? That's a little suspect.
I am positive the threads will get bigger when the season begins.
That's to bad Ganesha, that you won't have much of a preseason next year. That seems to be the common thing as Glendora has only played a few games. Why is that? Keep reporting the results.
By the way, does anyone know the results of that game last night? Glendora vs. Hart?
Someone is going to win, and someone is going to lose. With two talented teams such as St. Lucy's and South Hills going at it, it's the team that makes the fewest errors who will prevail. If SL was over-rated, they would not have had the quality wins they've enjoyed since losing to Los Altos. Los Altos is good and they deserved that win. However, some of the teams SL has played since that loss are better. We saw them play at the Mohs tournament and they were points from making it to the finals. Sometimes losing is a good thing. Good luck to the Regents and South Hills! Post results!
I would compare St. Lucy's cirp, cirp, cirp to how Los Osos humiliated Los Altos and the chirp, chirp, chirp. The difference is when Los Altos loss they were given the old "That's ok, they had an off night" and when Los Altos beat St. Lucy's it was "They are overrated." I think St. Lucy's is the best team Los Altos has played. That isn't true for St. Lucy's. I believe Los Altos should just say it was good game and we are proud of our girls and move on. To continue to try an discredit the only quality win Los Altos has had is a discredit to their own team.
As for South Hills, there would be no shame in losing to a quality team like them. South Hills is ranked in CIF right there with St. Lucy's. You would be a fool to think otherwise.
I hope regardless of the winners of the game tonight, they other has to respect the others program.
The problem with the lack of St. Lucy's blogging is that there aren't many other bloggers. We were getting close to 100 hits a thread last year.
Now I can't even brag about my team that much-of course everyone will still shut me down because no one thinks the Valle Vista deserves much respect. I will try to be more controversial to increase the hits, but it's against my nature to do so.
This year I believe Ganesha can play with anyone in the valley, but we only have one more tournament so we won't be able to prove it. We will not be playing any more preseason games in the future so unless we play top area teams in tournaments you will all just have to take my word.
Good luck St. Lucy's-we will be rooting for you in the playoffs!
Good luck also to Pomona Catholic-they have done an amazing job improving that program.
To vb watcher
It is chirp, chirp, chirp.
I think the silence from SL all year comes from the fact there is NO drama being reported. For better or worse, they are going to let their play on the court do the talking. Whole new group of girls (and parents) and a completely different chemistry from the Coaching staff on down.
Wait............isn't that the way it should be.
I guess it depends on what St. Lucy's team shows up. They are capable of playing fantastic. My guess is that there will be too much pressure for the young team tonight. I think they lose this match but win the Sierra league.
Next year will be their year to maybe make a finals showing in CIF.
Have you noticed that St. Lucy's was wery quiet when Los Altos humilnated them and now after a few wins they are all over the blogs? After South Hills beats them they will again be quiet. I can hear the crickets now.
cerp, cerp, cerp...
SL's has been playing strong recently coming off the Mohr tournament. Even though Upland is down, they dominated them in every aspect. They are finally clicking as a team and I believe the coach has made some defensive tweeks to make them stronger. If they play like they have been, they will beat SH's in 4. Go Regents!
This is a big game and I would not put a prediction either way. South Hills is great and mostly due to the setter and the Gomez sisters. Putting up big numbers for each of the girls at the Upland game respectively.
St. Lucy's is a pretty young team and it will be interesting to see if they understand the importance of this game. They have shown they can compete with the best teams (The Mohr tournament) and lose a game to Los Altos. Don't get me wrong, Los Altos is a good team but St. Lucy's as a team (and if they were playing like one) should have done significantly better. In addition, St. Lucy's doesn't have the one player who is scoring all the points. They have 5 players who are ranging between 50-85 kills over the season so far. Thats a strong consideration.
If St. Lucy's plays as a team, they will win. If they don't; they won't. That simple. Will be exciting to see.
Big Game tonight St. Lucy's vs South Hills. Predictions?
St. Lucy's gets another game against a local top 10. Time for redemption for the Los Altos game?
Gabrielino would fit nicely around #4 to #6 with a big 5 game win over San Dimas in that tourney.
Walnut beat San Dimas in 3.
Just read on Maxpreps that Rancho beat DB in four. That league is reeking havoc on our Valley teams.
I was at the LA/Los Osos game and they are beatable. LA was really off and played really bad. It was an off day for them and they were just beat. Bonita should do well against them. Mentally they're a much stronger team. They really utilize their hitters and go for the win.
Yes Los Osos is good. They beat Rancho in a tournament earlier this year but Rancho beat them several times in the summer. They will have a great battle for the league title and with Upland down a bit, and Claremont very strong, that is an extremely tough league.
There are going to be some great league battles right here in the SGV though. Los Altos-Bonita....Walnut-South Hills.....Ayala, Glendora, DB and St.Lucy's......Ganesha-San Dimas...
I can hardly wait for league to start.
Los Altos lost in 3.
Los Osos is the best team Los Altos has seen yet. They Beat Rancho in 2 straight.
Los Osos plays Bonita tomorrow lets see how they match up.
Los Osos has some serious talent and height.
1 girl 5-10
2 girls 5-11
1 girl 6-1
1 girl 6-2
Good Luck to bonita!
Los Altos-Los Osos results?
Bonitafan,
I must agree that those three girls are carrying the team they are Incredible but I don't agree that it was "just" a very close game...it was soo much more than that, the energy was amazing, the games were hard fought, the drama was intense, it was really exciting, and yes VERY entertaining. Yes CM won the first two games but that 3rd game was a BATTLE and that 5th game WOW... I hope the Lady Bearcats learn from this experiance of both, the ability to come back from behind but also NOT to let your foot off.
Great job Lady Bearcats.
To bonitafann
If your are as your name suggests....A fan of Bonita, there is really no need to "call players out". I saw Bonita play at Mohrs (and at Troy) and it was obvious they need help in the middle. I am sure the coach can solve this. Naming players does not do much for their confidence. Please read your posts carefully before hitting Submit.
also not sure how strong Lauren Mierke and Vicky Dennis are Lauren is experienced but not a lot of natural talent and Vicky is a little of the same
however vicky is only a sophmore and has plenty of time to improve for the future
its now that matters though
How did Bonita do against Claremont tonight? Both teams look strong.
bonita just lost a VERY close game with claremont
claremont pretty easily won the 1st 2 games but bonita put up a fight and took it to the fifth game where every point was a hard fought battle but calremont finished it off 15-17
VERY entertaining to watch congratulations to both teams
setter Ashley Maxfeldt O.H. Allie LaPierre and Opp. Katie Kirby are really carrying that team on their back they were hardly ever switched out and were tired by the fifth game. We need a stronger middle though I'm not sure sophomore LB melissa katherman is athletic enough to stop the middle. They might have to move LaPierre to the middle to block it up.
Glendora should be #1 this week. They look very good agains Walnut, but the tall girl on Walnut was killing them. Walnut needed to set her more and they would be #1 this week
This St. Lucy's-South Hills game is shaping up to be a big one. They both beat Upland in the last week. Impressive.
Interesting that Glendora is ranked #1 locally and not on the radar in their CIF division.
Just came from St. Lucy's vs. Upland.
It was Sierra League vs. Baseline League.
Upland has won league 10 years in a row including 13 out of the last 14 seasons.
Last year the Regent's were Sierra League Co-Champions with Diamond Bar.
The last two times these teams played were:
9.25.2007 Upland beat St. Lucy's 3-2.
9.30.2008 Upland beat St. Lucy's 3-0.
Today's result:
9.29.2009 St. Lucy's beat Upland 3-0.
Very impressed with the play of #10 Deanna Dalton, #7 Alissa Young, #13 Brenda Moscoso, #9 Megan Callen & #1 Jackie Macy.
The Regents should fair well in Sierra League. Interested to see how they do against Ayala and Glendora. Good Luck ladies.....

St. Lucy's beat Upland in 3.
not sure if this'll work but thought I would try to share.....
