As an observer you "ridiculous" need to get your head out of coaches behind a "fan" comment was saying to you they were not going to shut your mouth, BUT for YOU to keep close on things you no nothing about and as far as being in denial you are "lady". Anyways you want parents, coaches, players to come together as one team but yet you are the one being bitter with your blogs. Tonight go out there and support coaches, players, and what about the surrounding parents and NV fans. STOP IT ALREADY!

Ridiculous: How about keeping your mouth shut about things you dont know about! Yes, i agree with some things you say but then again at the same time you contradicting part of your earlier comment. Yes, i do tell my son to go out their and play like there is no tomorrow. I have NEVER told my son that his coaches suck. And i have never heard another parent in the stands either. I do believe that the coaches need to start motivating their players like they use to. NV is having a down year. but you know that happens.
As long as they get out there and play the best that they can, and not give up. Thats ok with me. But at the same time the coaches need to keep motivating them and let them know that they are behind them 100%. Yes, they can get mad when a player messes up, but crap, at the same time let them know what they need to do and get them ready for the next play. Dont be on the sidelines like life has just ended. Key Starters are ineligible, plenty have come down ill, big play makers are down, Parents, Coaches, and Players are butting heads.

Motivate them is exactly what we need to do, if it needs to come from the stands then sobeit. Along with the motivation, it should not come along with downing their coaches. Do you really think it helps motivate them when their parents are saying, "Play Your Heart Out Son, it is Your Coaches that Suck!" STOP blowing smoke up their A**es.

For all of you that see the coaches don't support the kids on the sideline, you absolutely know nothing. We support the kids all the way, even when the kids don't return the favor.

You are not there at practice, or when we watch film, or the major disappointment we get when the kids don't show up for practice when you have plays set up for them. We need to coach up our kids? Yeah get out of here with that crap, what you think we are doing when we show up for practice? Collect a $1000 check for 6 months of effort.

All you bleacher coaches, great players makes good coaches. I like the Northview coaching staff, they just don't have the talent to win. For the San Dimas staff, I don't care that they ran up the score. It's our job to stop them.

Also one final note, how about going out there and supporting these kids in what they love to do rather than criticizing them. It's just high school football. Get a life.

As for #73.....He is a good player. Yes we have seen missed tackles but hey!, we have also seen some good plays from him. And as for his family, well they do what families are suppose to do. And that is support each other. So #73 you go out there and play with all your heart. I say now its time to really start kicking some butt!

#73 is good. A beast no. He makes some good plays but nv fans have also seen many missed tackles by him. The picture above was one of those many missed. Now i will agree that Fullen is the real beast. He will only get better.

It's going to be worth ever penny to see if Pomona can do it. They have some good talent.

First big test tomorrow night against the "for real" Braves...which I haven't seen yet. And I'm not knocking Baldwin Park; that's all I've heard since this summer.

After that, it's up the 57 to San Dimas for another big game. Followed up with Covina. Can they snap the losing streak against the Colts? May be the year.

#73 is a beast on defense, will not disagree with issues on offense. For the first 4 games they had him going both ways, in fact he was only on sideline for punt returns....was taking away from what he does best which is defense. He still has a long way to go, can't wait to see him in his Senior Year!!

That's too bad about 73. What's the deal with 75 (i think that's his #)? He has size and seems to have a lot of enthusiasm but I don't recall seeing him out there (maybe I going blind).

Desert rat: He use to play both ways and he sucked! Once he was taken of offense and only played defense he has done better. He is a player that just cant play both ways. Too much for him. Now he can just concentrate on defense and i think he doing well.

Wow, sad to see Northview down this year. I think the anonymous poster and falling viking are onto something. However, the one thing I think isn't correct, is the fact the coaching staff is giving up on the players. The microscope is always fine-tuned and relentless when you're down. I think Arellanes and crew are wearing some of their frustration on their sleeves. I've watched a couple games and I can see why they're besides themselves. But they have to keep pushing the kids forward. They're young and reloading.

For the players, Germany is not the same player I saw a couple times last year. #20 keeps being brought up...he's got a lot of potential and seems to run harder than Germany right now. Oh well, we will see. 73 is a beast...wondered why he doesn't go both ways...and Jesse Fullen is a stud.

Stay strong Northview...you will bounce back. Today's underclassmen will be your studs soon enough.

I don't agree with people calling the Devil's lazy. It is a tough job anywhere in Pomona. They haven't been good since Brown/Caparo ( you are right) that also makes them very scary this year. But the point is, I don't think Arellanes is dropping the ball. He wants his kids to go to college and play, if possible. That being said, what is your point? Pomona gets a few kids into college. Pomona has D1 talent, ever year. I get that, good for getting them in. But what I will say is this, most schools in the VVL don't have D1 talent, period. They have hard working high school players. Most of the coaches don't have your connections for giving people favors. Lucky you. So the point is, i think the coaches in the VVL are all doing a pretty darn good job. Every 3-5 years BP, Covina, SD send a kid somewhere. Pomona has the most talent every year. They should have kids going places every year, especially with your connections (good for you) Not that they have good coaching again, they should be a power. Maybe Arellanes will give you an email and ask for help. We all know that won't happen. He is a good coach but is full of himself. :)

4. Stop worrying about what other teams are doing to you and start coaching it up. You guys were stagnant on the sidelines. Coach your kids.

TRUTH AND KNOWLEDGE:

Your wrong.. Coach Hudson (now the HC @ Garey High) was the HC @ Pomona starting in the fall of 2003 - 2006..

I just have to say I go to every game the Vikings play and all I see is coaches giving up on this viking team left and right.

One coach does nothing to pick the boys self-esteem up at all. I think he truely get's off on watching these boys fail. Every chance he gets he be-little the players to no end. I think I only seen him give praise to a couple of players. But I can count on my hand how many times that has happened and to which players.

The head coach well what I can I say about him, he gives up to easy. I know he doesn't have the team he had last year, but at least give these kids the same thing you gave the team your all. When those boys look and see that you have no faith in them, then they start to have no faith in themselves.

Now really what is going on with #21 Germany. He could be such a good player if he would just a little effort. Show some heart or passion for the game. Everyone in the stands can see that he could care less about playing football except for the coaching staff. For some reason they feel like he is the only one who can make plays on that field and they are sadly mistaken. Us fans have noticed that Germany can make what ever mistake he wants and there is no reprocussions to it, but if any other player makes a mistake they get pulled off the field yelled and yelled at. Germany even has the nerve to walk over to other players and yell at them when they make a mistake. How many times has he fumbled the ball this season. At least once or twice every game.

There is a player that's trying to be a shining star if the coaches would just give him a chance #20. I have to say he is a darn good player. When he hits the whole he hits it hard. He plays with heart and all heart. The coaches just need to stop baby Germany and make him play the game or get off the field. There's other playeres out there that's more then willing to step in.

To any NV Vikings Football Players: you need to go out there and keep playing with your heart and play as a team. Show everyone that you are the true players. When the coaches give up who cares, just keep playing with heart. Just remember that even though the coaches give up on you, your fans in the stands have not and will not. We hav eyou back 110%.

I am 100% positive that Capraro left after the 2005 season. Also, are these kids graduating from college?

First of all no one is making excuses, & trust that our kids are more than being supported by the coaching staff.. & as far as that vote of confidence is concerned towards our 6 seniors that are on a roster of 46, they as well more than have it..
As you can now see our majority are all underclassmen, with many sophmores playing at the varsity level, & we might not have any wins so far this season, but we have had leads late into ballgames, & have lost games where we were in position to win at the very end.. So dropping into the Montview will help compared to playing in the Valle Vista.

You're a joke!! How about you and your coaches show some class!! What prick calls a timeout in the red-zone after already being up 35-0 & comes out throwing the ball??

I must say that I have watched Pomona this year and they look a tad out of sync. I find it odd that with all that talent and speed that they haven't been in the mix since 03. They use to have 3 or 4 kids sign each year. What happened to you guys since then? How did so many kids sign out of Pomona each year then all of a sudden it stops. I think you have your hands full with BP and San Dimas, but after seeing a few Covina games you should make the playoffs.

By the way, you made a very classy point that was not derogatory nor degrading. I appreciate that. The object of the game is to get the kids to buy in on NOT just winning but getting educated. Our aim IS to see our ENTIRE graduating class got to a 4 year institution, be it on scholarship (D-I or D-IAA), parial (D-II) or on financial aid. No matter what, education is the ONE GREAT EQUALIZER and I want to see ALL of these kids get it. As for #73, he is not a lost cause. We are not the judges of that. We (You and I) ARE NOT the Ampipe Bulldogs. We have had kids that were acdemically and socially at risk and they made it, to BCS schools. Like I said in my previous post, hit me via email and I am MORE than willing to help... With the RIGHT help #73 can AND will make it...

I understand the 48H Form better than ANYONE you know. As a matter of fact, I helped some schools revamp theirs. Colony for one, has gotten 7 Division 1 kids out in 3 years. I understand far more than you would probably know for an undisciplined and sloppy guy from Pomona. I understand test scoress better than you do or anyone else at Northview does, for that matter. There are ways to get it done, the right way. You're right, Ron is a friend but so is Matt Lubick, Aaron Roderick, Dechon Burns and many others. Do you know who they are? More than likely not... We make it a practice of rewarding friends of the program... Furthermore, we have kids that have gone to places like the University of Chicago and other D-II and D-III schools. Please believe that I know and understand how it goes...

Now, 2003 has been a bit... However, Capraro (HC) and Brown (DC at the time) left after that season. Hence the dropoff at that school over on Bangor Street... Since they left, there has not been a signee from Pomona. Now, last year, Brown's first year back at Pomona, he took a back-up RB from Claremont HS and made him a BCS school signee... There seems to be a lot of minimizing going on from you Blue. We have sent kids to Ron at EVERY one of his stops (SDSU, ASU, UM, UL and EMU). We TRUST him as we do Rob Akey who signed two of our kids that are in the NFL. You cannot make Pomona feel guilty for making inroads and connections for FREE EDUCATIONS for our kids...

Now, I cannot minimze the success that Northview has had over the last few years and I respect that. I think so much of Germany that if you would like my help with the kid's recruitment, I would be glad to help. I/We have connections at place like Stanford, Colgate, Holy Cross even though I know he is better than the last two and anyone in their respective conferences. Hey Homer... I agree with you on Germany, especially due to his great grades..4.0 GPA. That is a true shame. But # 73 doesn't have what it take.... he is JC guy at best. Also, you don't known about grades, test scores, and core classes, so I think you should lay off the coaches. I don't know any coach who doesn't want their kids to go D 1. Just because you guys have connections to Ron English, stop pounding your chests. You guys haven't done anything since 2003. I think you should let wins speak for themselves. You can have a darn good H.S. football team but still have no D1 talent. Just cause you are good doesn't mean you are D1. I think getting kids into college (any college) is 1st priority and winning does need to account for something.

I can appreciate some of what you said. However, most teams comprised of uber-athletes tend to lack some discipline. However, we know where we are short and it is an on-going theme over on Bangor Street but we don't need to hear it from coaches and fans from schools who don't take care of their athletes, disciplined or not... Moreover, you never answered the one burning question that was posed by the Homer, are you guys taking care of Germany. After all, HE is the guy you teed off on as opposed to Arellanes, who deserves ALL of the blame. Wouldn't you agree? After all, he is the coach. At Pomona, all of the blame falls on Brown. Heck, as fans and alumni, we give the Pomona team a C grade right now. Simply put, we are supposed to beat EVERYONE that has been on our schedule thus far. Garey was a mere bump in the road, no question it was one we should not have lost... Now, if Garey goes to the playoffs out of the Mt. Baldy League where does that put the Pomona loss to them? Can you answer that, Smart Guy? They are two wins away and they will be Ontario which will make them one win away...

Moving on, as a true Homer, I take the good (beating the snot out of Northview) with the bad (Garey loss). However, I cannot resspect you calling us undisciplined when you guys were airing the ball out with 2-3 minutes left in the Nogales game and NV was up 3 TDS and the game was well in hand. What do you call that disciline? Class? I think not... Pomona spared you guys by keeping the ball on the ground and ran the clock out. In the future, Northview will be hard pressed to beat a John Brown coached Pomona team, discipline or not. However, we will win with class... Can you say the same... Our coaches do not degrade nor disrespect other coaches and their programs. Once again, can you say the same, Fallin Vike? Like I scream in the stands, IT'S A GREAT TIME TO BE A RED DEVIL!!!

P.S. - If Germany was a Red Devil, he'd be committed by now and #73 would be a big-time regional guy as a Red Devil... Have Germany call Coach Brown if he needs help signing. Oops, Germany has an undiscilined Cousin that plays for Pomona that can hook that up.

I'm glad you adequately named yourself a homer because you don't know squat partner. I know all of you are jaded over at Pomona because your 5-1, but dude you losing to Garey even furthers my point. But that's your million doller retort, "some of our kids are going to college so we're not lazy." It doesn't matter if they have a scholarship waiting for them when I'm talking about the here and now. You guys as a program have always been sloppy, lazy, and undisciplined. Yeah they won, but come on...if you're that good, you should of rolled a hapless NV team. But you didn't. I'm not saying you guys are bad, just noting a major design flaw....and that is the epic Red Devil lackadaisical mindset. You got speed...not much else. And I doubt you'll be able to keep up with the better teams from here on out unless the kids can get focused, execute and not rely on others to carry the load. Remember 11 players on each side...not just two or possibly three future college kids.

However, I feel that Germany is a great football player and I hope that you ALL as a staff do what it takes to reward him. Oh you may not what I mean. Well, let me explain, two, possibly three of those lazy, sloppy and undisciplined Red Devils will be playing Division 1 Football next year. That is a reward. Wouldn't you agree? A free education for all of the freelancing, slacking and running amok that is allowed over on Bangor Street. How do they do it over there? When is the last time that one of those GREAT disciplined, hard working and well-coached Northview teams had a kid sign? Northview literally and figuratively dropped the ball last night. It seems like the players passion and pride from that program left with the 08 seniors because I don't get the same vibe from this squad.

Germany needs to find his heart. As a senior leader, he should have the team around him, but it appears quite the opposite. Yeah, he put a 100 plus up last night, be he should of took that game over and had 200-plus and 3 TDs. But he didn't and its sad. He wasted more time trying to stretch plays out instead of hitting the holes hard. When he did, he was awesome, but then he spent his long runs looking over his shoulder wondering if he was gonna get caught or not. Then, just sends me into orbit...he was taking plays off at safety and just walking around all night.

And I know the entire blame should no be all his to bare. There were other blown tackles, coverages, blocking and bonehead fouls. I critize KG because he should know better...he's been there...and I think the world of his talent and ability...but lil #20 is making a strong case to be the number one back.

The sad thing is, the Vikings have the size and pieces to compete. And they should of beat Pomona last night. All the DDevils have is speed. They're lazy, sloppy, and very undisiplined. Its between Baldwin Park and San Dimas if you ask me.

If NV can get it together - and that's a texas sized if - they could sneak in or end up playing the spoiler role.
